The story begins in taisho-era japan with a kind and hardworking boy named tanjiro kamado . He lives in the mountains with his poor but happy family. After his father dies,tanjiro becomes the head of the family. He helps his mother and takes care of his younger brothers and sisters.
Tanjiro is known for his gentle heart and strong sense of smell.He sells charcoal in a nearby village to earn money for his family. Even though life is difficult,tanjiro always stays positive and works hard.

One day, tanjiro goes to village to sell charcoal.On his way back,night falls.A kind old man named saburo warns him not to travel at night because ๐๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฆ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ค๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ญ ๐ก๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ฌ.Tanjiro does not really believe in demons,but he listens and stays at the old man's house for a night.
The next morning,Tanjiro happily heads home,thinking about his family.

When tanjiro reaches his house,he smells something strange - ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ .He runs towards his home and finds a terrifying sight:
His entire family has been ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐๐ซ๐๐(killed).

Tanjiro is heartbroken.He cries but quickly carries Nezuko on his back and rushes down the snowy mountain to find help.He hopes a docter can save her.

While running,tanjiro notices Nezuko's body feels strange. Suddenly, she attacks him!

Her eyes change,her fangs grow,and she becomes very strong.Tanjiro is shocked but refuses to hurt her.Instead,he tries to calm her down.Even though she is a demon now , he believes she is his sister inside.

A demon slayer means(a skilled person who kills demons and saves humans)named ๐๐ข๐ฒ๐ฎ ๐ญ๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐จ๐ค๐ arrives. He sees nezuko and immediately tries to kill her,because demon slayers must eliminate demons to protect humans
Tanjiro beges giyu not to kill her.He protects nezuko even though he knows she attacked him. He says he will find a way to turn her back into a human.
At first,Giyu thinks tanjiro is foolish.But something surprising happens-
Nezuko, despite being a demon,protects tanjiro from giyu's attack.Instead of eating her brother, she shields him.
Giyu realised Nezuko is different form other demons.
