The battlefield had become chaos.
Red Team warriors surrounded the area.
Green Army soldiers filled the opposite side.
Monster Souls roared everywhere.
Fire.
Lightning.

The entire battlefield shook.

Arashio stood between James and Saku.
Both were exhausted.
Both were covered in injuries.

The Crimson Flame Golem.
The Southern Blue Prime Dragon.
Arashio raised both hands.
"STOP!"
James froze.
Saku slowly lowered his fist.
Arashio looked at them.
"You two don't have to fight each other."
James breathed heavily.
"But they're forcing us."
Saku clenched his fist.
"They killed our fathers."
Arashio looked into their eyes.
"I know."
His voice became quieter.
"But you're brothers now."
Silence.
James looked away.
Saku lowered his head.
Then—
ROOOOOOOOOOOAR!!
A gigantic Monster Soul charged from behind.
Arashio turned.
"LOOK OUT!"
BOOOOOOM!!
A shadow fox crashed into the ground.
The Red and Green armies suddenly attacked at the same time.
"ATTACK!"
"DON'T LET THEM ESCAPE!"
Hundreds of warriors rushed forward.
Arashio stepped back.
Siya summoned her power.
Leon raised his weapon.
Kiro awakened his Monster Soul.
FWOOSH!
A giant shadow fox appeared.
ROOOOOAR!
Another warrior summoned an enormous stone beast.
CRAAAAACK!!
The ground exploded as a massive golem emerged.

The Southern Blue Prime Dragon spread its wings.
James stared at the armies.
"There are too many."
Saku looked around.
"They just keep coming!"

The battlefield disappeared beneath an ocean of soldiers.
Arashio clenched his fists.
"We can't keep this up!"
A shadow beast attacked.

Kiro blocked it.

Leon knocked another soldier away.
Siya created a barrier.

The barrier cracked.
"Arashio!" Siya shouted.
"There's too many!"
Arashio looked around.
His friends were exhausted.
James was bleeding.
Saku could barely stand.
Arashio clenched his fists harder.
"I'll fight too!"
He charged forward.
BOOM!
He punched one warrior.
Then another.
Then another.
But a massive Monster Soul slammed into him.

Arashio flew backward.
He crashed into the ground.
He slowly stood.
His body was trembling.
"I... can still fight."
James shouted,
"Arashio!"
Saku looked at him.
"Wait."
James turned.
Saku's eyes became serious.
"We don't need to keep fighting separately."
James understood.
"You mean..."
Saku extended his hand.
James stared at it.
Then smiled.
"Yeah."
Their hands moved toward each other.
Arashio's eyes widened.
"James... Saku..."
Their palms connected.

Everything stopped.
The battlefield became silent.
The Crimson Flame Golem froze.
The Southern Blue Prime Dragon stopped roaring.
Red soldiers stopped moving.
Green soldiers stopped moving.

A single spark appeared.

Another appeared.

They began spinning around James and Saku.

He turned toward the armies.

His purple aura became enormous.

Thousands of soldiers charged.

Shadow foxes.
Golems.
Dragons.
Every Monster Soul attacked simultaneously.
The fused warrior didn't move.
He simply stood there.

A purple flash crossed the battlefield.

A shadow fox flew into the sky.

A dragon was knocked away.
The armies couldn't even see him.
Red soldiers screamed.

Green soldiers looked around.

The fused warrior appeared behind them.
"Too slow."

A massive purple shockwave exploded.
Arashio watched silently.
James and Saku had become something completely different.
Something powerful.

But Arashio suddenly looked at his hands.
No Monster Soul.
No special power.

"Arashio..."
He looked at her.
"I can't help them."
Leon stepped forward.
"That's not true."

Leon nodded.

Kiro smiled.

Arashio looked back at the fused warrior.
Purple energy filled the battlefield.

He ran.

The engines activated.

The spaceship suddenly entered an enormous cosmic storm.

His eyes widened.
Two gigantic armies stood across an unknown world.
One side radiated the power of Time.

Two figures stood facing each other.
The Time God.

He stared at them.
