Bella's POV
"What the hell, Parker?" I shoved him away from me with both hands.
My heart was racing as I fumbled for the car door handle, desperate to escape. But he slammed it shut before I could get out, trapping me inside while he walked around to his side with that infuriating smirk on his face.
"Do you have any idea what you just did?" I demanded, my hands shaking as I balled them into fists.
"Don't blow this out of proportion," he said casually, settling back into the driver's seat like nothing had happened.
"Don't blow this out of proportion?" My voice cracked with disbelief. "Are you completely out of your mind?"
"Look, you were running from this. We both felt it, and I just helped us figure out what was really going on. Is that such a crime?" He turned to face me, his expression maddeningly calm.
The audacity of this man. Instead of apologizing, he was actually defending what he'd done. As if forcing that kiss on me was some kind of favor.
