Chapter 1 - The hero's son

In the small town of Riverdale, everyone knew the name Captain Arman. He was a national hero — brave, honest, and kind. He had saved countless lives during the great flood ten years ago. People respected him, children admired him, and his story was taught in schools.

But behind that great name was his only son, Rayan.

Unlike his father, Rayan was careless and arrogant. He skipped school, wasted money, and spent most of his time with the wrong crowd. Whenever people saw him, they whispered,

"There goes the hero's trash son."

Those words slowly built anger inside Rayan. He hated living in his father's shadow. No matter what he did, people compared him to Captain Arman.

One day, Captain Arman fell seriously ill. The strong hero who once saved thousands now lay weak in a hospital bed. The town was heartbroken.

That same week, a fire broke out in a nearby apartment building. People were trapped inside. Firefighters were delayed because of heavy traffic.

Rayan was nearby.

For a moment, he froze. He heard people screaming. He remembered how everyone called him useless. He remembered his father's words:

"Being a hero is not about fame. It's about choosing courage when it matters."

Without thinking further, Rayan ran into the burning building. Smoke filled his lungs, and flames surrounded him, but he managed to carry out a little girl and then an elderly man. He went back in again and again until everyone was safe.

By the time firefighters arrived, Rayan collapsed from exhaustion.

The next day, the town newspapers had a new headline:

"The Hero's Son Becomes a Hero."

When Captain Arman heard the news from his hospital bed, tears filled his eyes.

"My son was never trash," he whispered. "He was just waiting for his moment."

From that day on, people stopped calling Rayan names. And Rayan finally understood — he didn't need to compete with his father. He just needed to become the best version of himself.

Because sometimes, even the hero's "trash" son just needs a chance to prove who he really is.
