"Hahahhaha!"
"BHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"YOU REALLY STOLE A BICYCLE?!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!"
"THE GREAT MARK KEIFER WATSON!"
Percy roared right in the middle of the hallway, clutching his stomach as tears of laughter streamed down his face.
"Baby is so lucky, look what her father did just to see her!
HAHAHAHAHAHAAA!"
Soph wheezed, wheezing as she leaned against the wall for support.
"I am saving this exact moment in my mind forever just to tell her when she grows up!"
"JUST SHUT UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!"
Keifer yelled at the top of his lungs, slamming his palms flat over his ears, his face burning bright red.
A head nurse immediately stepped out from behind the central desk, frowning deeply at the group.
"Please, silence!
This is a hospital delivery ward!"
Everyone snapped their mouths shut, pressing their lips together to bite back their booming giggles.
"Sorry..."
Keifer muttered under his breath to the nurse, bowing his head in total embarrassment.
They were all standing in the quiet hallway right outside Jay's room-
where Jay and the baby were resting comfortably inside, completely oblivious to the utter chaos unfolding on the other side of the door, with Mrs watson looking after them.
Keifer had innocently decided to explain to the guys and Soph why he looked like a runaway criminal...
a decision he was now violently regretting with every fiber of his being.
The second the nurse turned around and walked away...
"HAHAHAHAHAHAAA!"
They all burst out laughing all over again, even Mr. Watson hiding his booming chuckles behind his hand as he patted his son's shoulder.
"UGHHHHH!
I'm going to get Jay's medicines!"
Keifer groaned, throwing his hands up in despair as he backed away from the group and stormed down the corridor.
Walking down toward the internal pharmacy on the main floor, Keifer rubbed his throbbing temples.
"Ugh! I severely regret telling them anything... I should have just said I fought a mountain lion..."
he muttered to himself, leaning against the pharmacy counter to hand over the prescription slip.
But just then....
"Keifer..."
A voice suddenly called out from behind him.
A horrifyingly familiar voice.
Keifer froze dead in his tracks, his breath catching in his throat.
No... It can't be...
he whispered inside his head, his blood running ice-cold.
He turned around slowly, his dark eyes narrowing as he locked onto the face standing right in front of him.
PUNCH!
"Ughhh!"
Without a single word of warning, Keifer swung his fist forward and landed a brutal right hook straight onto the guy's jaw!
The man let out a painful groan, stumbling backward and crashing hard onto the polished tiled floor, wiping a smear of blood from the corner of his mouth.
"Ugh! Keifer, what the hell are you doing?!"
the guy shouted, holding his bruised cheek in total shock.
Keifer didn't hesitate-
he lunged forward, grabbed him by the collar, and threw another vicious punch straight into his face.
"What am I doing?! Huh?!
You absolute basterd!
You didn't ask any questions while leaving?!"
The guy gritted his teeth and swung his fist right back, hitting Keifer square in the jaw!
"Ugh!"
Keifer recoiled from the stinging impact.
"You didn't stop me either, you idiot!"
the guy shouted, scrambling back up onto his feet as the two began aggressively wrestling, shoving, and trading punches right in the middle of the lobby.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
A terrified scream erupted from a nearby patient.
Within seconds, a huge crowd of patients, visitors, and stunned nurses gathered in a wide circle around them, watching in complete disbelief as the bruised, dirt-stained billionaire traded blows in the open corridor.
Nurse look at them.
They look at each other.
Then towards the nurse.
Nurse narrowed her eyes.
"SECURITYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
a head nurse shrieked into her walkie-talkie at the top of her lungs.
**
"See what you did?!"
Keifer shouted at the guy, rubbing his sore jaw as they both stood stranded on the pavement outside the main entrance, having just been escorted out by two very unamused hospital security guards.
"What?!
I did this?!"
the guy asked in utter disbelief, gesturing wildly at his own bloodied lip and dirt-caked jacket.
"YES!
YOU!
MR. YURI HANAMICHI!
SO-CALLED ROOSTERRRR!"
Keifer yelled, aggressively pointing a finger directly at Yuri's face, almost poking him right between his eyes.
"Stop calling me that...!"
Yuri snapped through gritted teeth, his irritation boiling over as he reached out and forcefully gripped Keifer's already crumpled, buttonless collar.
"What... rooster?"
Keifer teased mercilessly, leaning right into his face with a lethal glare.
"Huh?
Roosterrrr?"
he added, grabbing Yuri's collar in return and yanking it so hard the fabric strained.
"UGHHHHHH!
Do you even know my wife's inside?!"
Yuri barked, swinging his fist straight into Keifer's cheek with a dull thud.
"DO YOU KNOW MY WIFE'S INSIDE TOO?!"
Keifer threw a vicious punch right back, hitting Yuri square on the chin and wiping a smear of blood from his own lip with the back of his hand.
"Ugh!
Fuck!
You know what?!
We just found out that you're going to become an uncleeeee!"
Yuri shouted, wiping blood from his cheek with his sleeve as his chest heaved.
"You uncle egotist!"
"And you know what?!
You just became an uncle too-a rooster uncle!"
Keifer yelled right back at the top of his lungs, his voice echoing across the parking lot.
Suddenly, the weight of the words caught up to both of their chaotic, overheated brains.
"FREEZEEEE!"
They both froze dead in their tracks, their hands still tangled tightly in each other's collars, staring at each other in absolute, stunned silence.
"YOU GOT MARRIED?!"
they both demanded in exact sync, each raising an incredulous, wide-eyed eyebrow.
"And you're going to have a kid?!"
"And you already have a kid?!"
Their voices overlapped in pure, jaw-dropping shock, the ridiculousness of their overlapping sentences ringing out into the open air.
And then... a soft, breathy chuckle broke through the quiet.
In a split second, they both burst out laughing at the exact same time, the absolute absurdity of the entire situation washing over them.
Yuri let go of Keifer's collar and slowly pushed himself up from the pavement, dusting off his dirt-stained pants.
They looked each other in the eye, their tense expressions melting away into matching, familiar smirks that carried a decade worth of shared history.
Without another word, they stepped forward and pulled each other into a tight, heavy, bone-crushing brotherhood hug.
"Many things changed..."
Yuri muttered quietly against Keifer's shoulder, his voice low and thick with emotion.
"Yeah... I think so too,"
Keifer replied softly, patting Yuri's back with a firm, steady grip.
They slowly broke the hug, stepping a foot apart as the silence settled between them once more.
"I think I missed....so much,"
Yuri whispered, his eyes dropping down to the concrete beneath their feet.
His raspy voice carried the heavy, suffocating weight of years of regret for walking away
-and the deep, silent guilt of never listening to his best friend when it mattered most.
"Hmm... I think so too,"
Keifer said quietly, tilting his head up to stare at the vast, afternoon sky.
His eyes held the painful, lingering ache of missing his brother for so many long years,
paired with the quiet guilt of never reaching out after that one terrible, fateful incident that tore them apart.
Both of them stood there in silence, swallowed whole by the heavy realization of how much time they had wasted, letting years of an unbreakable bond shatter over a single mistake.
"I'm sorry..."
Yuri whispered, still staring down at his dusty shoes, his hands clenched into fists in his pockets.
Keifer looked over at him, his expression completely unreadable.
"Hmm..."
Yuri instantly snapped his head up, a brow raised in pure outrage.
"Aren't you going to say sorry too?!"
"Why would I say that?"
Keifer smirked, crossing his broad arms over his chest with an air of pure arrogance.
"You jerk! You are so damn egotistical!"
"And you are a rooster."
"I swear I'll punch you again right here!"
"Don't forget I have hands too, rooster!"
"Fuck you!"
"Fuck you too!"
Yuri shook his head, a genuine, crooked smile finally breaking through his bruised face.
"Aren't you going to introduce me to your family?"
"No!"
Keifer scoffed, turning on his heel back toward the hospital sliding glass doors.
"But I am definitely going to introduce myself to your family!"
"You jerk!"
"You double jerk!"
___________
Two months later~
Jay sat quietly on the soft velvet sofa in the grand lobby of the Watson Mansion.
The warm afternoon sun spilled through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a gentle, golden glow over the newborn sleeping peacefully in her warm embrace.
Jaselle Keira Mariano Watson.
Jay looked down at her daughter's chubby, flush cheeks, a tender, radiant smile spreading across her face.
It truly didn't matter how exhausting the night was, or how much Jaselle made her mother run around with her incessant crying fits-
one single glance at that tiny, innocent face took all of Jay's tired worries away in a second.
Jay leaned down slightly, pressing a soft, lingering kiss onto her daughter's warm forehead.
"My little princess..."
Jay whispered softly, her heart melting.
As if hearing her mother's voice in her dreams, tiny Jaselle returned a beautiful, breathtaking smile in her sleep, her ridiculously small fingers tightening their grip on the soft fabric of Jay's pastel dress.
Just then, the grand front doors swung open, and Keifer stepped into the lobby.
He had just returned home from the company headquarters, looking as sharp as ever in his tailored suit, though he had already loosened his tie.
Even after two months, he still refused to let Jay handle any heavy workload at the office.
She occasionally attended crucial board meetings-a compromise they both agreed on-
but Jay had personally chosen to step back from the corporate grind for a while.
After being separated from a real family for so long, she wanted nothing more than to cherish every precious second with her daughter and husband, rather than endlessly chasing wealth.
Keifer paused a few feet away,
his dark eyes softening instantly as he took in the sight of the two most important people in his life sitting together on the sofa.
A genuine, loving smile broke across his face.
He walked over quietly, his broad frame casting a gentle shadow over them. The moment Jay caught his eye, her own smile widened.
Without a word, Keifer leaned down and pressed a long, tender kiss onto Jay's forehead.
Before she could even say welcome home, he shifted lower and pressed a warm, dramatic, wet kiss straight onto her flushed cheek.
And before Jay could even react to his playfulness, he quickly leaned in and stole a sweet, lingering peck right from her lips.
"Keifer...!"
Jay gasped softly, a deep blush rushing to her cheeks as she instinctively looked down at Jaselle, her heart fluttering just like it did on the day they first met.
He chuckled warmly, leaning down further to press a soft, lingering kiss against his baby daughter's forehead.
Right on cue, tiny Jaselle began to stir.
Her little eyelids fluttered, and she brought two chubby, microscopic fists up to her face, rubbing her eyes as she slowly wriggled out of her peaceful sleep.
Jay and Keifer both beamed, their hearts completely melting at the adorable sight.
Jay looked up at her husband and gently tilted Jaselle toward him, silently gesturing to ask if he wanted to hold her.
But to her complete surprise, Keifer shook his head in a firm denial, a mischievous glint flashing in his dark eyes.
Before Jay could even process what he was planning,
Keifer swiftly slid his broad arms beneath her knees and upper back-
and lifted Jay straight off the sofa, cradling both her and Jaselle securely in his strong embrace!
"KEIFERRRRR...!"
Jay gasped,
her eyes widening in absolute shock as she instinctively held Jaselle closer.
But her shock quickly dissolved into a melodious burst of giggles as Keifer began swaying smoothly from side to side, spinning her in slow, playful circles around the lobby in a
improvised dance.
The gentle motion woke Jaselle up completely,
and instead of crying, the little princess let out a tiny, delighted coo, her dark eyes wide with excitement.
Just then, Mr. and Mrs. Watson walked into the grand lobby, pausing in their tracks as they took in the lively scene.
"Keifer... put us down..."
Jay whispered, a deep blush creeping up her neck as she tapped his shoulder.
"Place us down..."
Keifer only smirked in response, leaning down to playfully nip at the tip of her nose.
"Ah, Jay, don't be shy!"
Mrs. Watson teased with a warm, fond smile, shaking her head at her son's antics.
Mr. Watson turned to his wife, a dangerously clever smirk spreading across his face.
"Well, if Jay shouldn't be shy... then that means you shouldn't be shy either, right?"
Mrs. Watson raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"What do you m-"
Before she could finish her sentence,
Alberto swooped down,
slid his arms under her, and lifted Mrs. Watson right off her feet in one smooth, practiced motion!
"Albertoooo...!"
Mrs. Watson gasped, her entire face turning a brilliant shade of crimson as she swatted his shoulder,
though her hands stayed tightly wrapped around his neck.
Jay and Keifer both burst into delighted giggles at the sight of the senior Watsons.
And just then-
"He he .he he..."
A tiny, bubbly ripple of pure laughter echoed through the lobby.
Everyone froze and turned their eyes toward the small figure nestled in Jay's lap.
Jaselle was wide awake now, her miniature mouth open in a precious grin as she looked right at her grandparents floating in mid-air, her little legs kicking with joy.
"See, Mom?"
Jay teased, her laughter echoing through the hall.
"Even your granddaughter thinks you two should stay like this!"
The lobby erupted in a chorus of joyful laughter, leaving Mrs. Watson completely red-faced as the whole family basked in the warmth of their perfect home.
