In a parallel world's version of 2012, the world changed forever.
That year, Earth experienced what came to be known as the **Great Awakening**: creatures that had once existed only in myths and legends suddenly appeared in every corner of the planet. Gods, Demons, Dragons, Angels, Yokai, Vampires.
Alongside them came the **Dungeons**, and humanity united to face these new threats.
Matthew knew nothing of this yet—nor of what fate had in store for him.
For him, that day had begun like any other.
He walked through the college hallways, backpack slung over his shoulder, eyes lowered. He wasn't special, wasn't popular, but neither was he disliked. Just an ordinary guy—one of those people you only notice if you really look. He studied literature, worked part-time, and simply tried to make it to the end of each month without becoming a burden on his family.
Life wasn't kind to him, but it wasn't cruel either.
It was… gray.
Matthew watched the other students laugh, talk, live. Couples sitting on the steps, friends gathered under the trees, people planning their futures with effortless optimism.
He sighed.
"Maybe I don't really belong here…"
He left the campus and took the longer route home. Walking saved him a few dollars—and gave him time to think.
Too much time.
He didn't notice the traffic light change. He didn't hear the engine until it was too late.
A horn tore through the air.
Matthew barely had time to turn before a runaway truck slammed into him.
Pain.
Impact.
Darkness.
---
Silence.
No pain. No weight. Only a strange sensation of floating.
*…I'm thinking?*
*Why can I still think?*
Then, a voice.
Soft. Feminine.
"Master… someone is approaching the dungeon."
Matthew opened his eyes.
The first thing he felt was warmth.
The second… was the light, reassuring weight of two bodies resting against him.
His eyes widened.
Two beautiful young women were lying across his lap.
One had pale skin, crimson eyes, and wore an elegant red dress that stood out against the darkness of the room. Her smile was captivating—almost dangerous.
The other, with dark hair and a shy gaze, wore a revealing outfit in shades of black. She blushed slightly when she realized Matthew was awake.
A sweet, intoxicating scent filled the air.
"Where… am I?" he murmured.
A sudden pain shot through his head.
Memories that weren't his flooded his mind.
A name.
**Amon.**
A low-ranking demon.
No lineage.
A new world that, in 2012, had undergone a cataclysmic change with the appearance of all the supernatural beings humanity once believed were nothing but myths and fantasies.
A **Dungeon Master**.
Recently exiled from Hell into the human world.
The two girls were his servants.
**Liln**, a young succubus, curious about the world of humans.
**Ikari**, a vampire—isolated, without a family to protect her in this new era, one marked by human discrimination driven by fear, led by the Church and powerful Guilds filled with adventurers and mages.
They had sworn their loyalty to him.
And the dungeon… was their only home.
Matthew—now **Amon**—looked around the stone chamber, lit by red torches. The walls were fragile, the magical energy scarce.
The **Dungeon Core** was weak.
Too weak.
*If it collapses… I'll die too,* he thought.
Just as that realization took hold, a new voice echoed inside his mind.

**[Ding!]**
**[Welcome, Dungeon Custodian.]**
**[Abyssal Management System activated.]**
**[Initiate the Origin Roulette to obtain your initial reward?]**
Matthew swallowed.
"This is…"
An interface formed before his eyes.
