Chapter 3 - Godzilla's Approval

Han Shaoqing was still young, full of passion, and not lacking in courage. He also had a bit of a conscience, coupled with a desire to test his own strength. He said, "How do you want to play? I'm game."

"Good, I like people who are straightforward."

Godzilla's thoughts transmitted to Han Shaoqing's consciousness.

Han Shaoqing glanced at the slowly sinking Titanic.

The icy seawater surged into the ship's cabins, mercilessly sweeping away the people inside.

In the face of death, everyone was equal. Whether they were millionaires or the lowest-ranking crew members, they were no different at this moment.

Because of Godzilla's dorsal fin strike, the Titanic sank much faster than in the movie.

The nearly snapped-in-two cruise ship began to tilt, and the items and people in the cabins started to slide.

Some unlucky people were crushed by falling tables and chairs, and pianos, while others were piled on top of each other, creating a chaotic scene.

"Jack!"

"Rose!"

The two lovers were separated by the crowd, calling out to each other's names.

It was as if, in their eyes, only each other existed.

Outside the bridge, Captain Smith gripped the railing tightly, gazing at the culprit that had crashed into the Titanic, a mixture of shock and anger on his face.

"Where did this monster come from?"

The first mate rushed over, panting. When he saw the silhouette of Godzilla looming in the darkness, he couldn't help but swallow hard. "My God, what is that monster?"

Another sailor exclaimed in horror, "Just the part of its body above the water is hundreds of feet long! I can't believe how huge it is! How can such a monster exist in the world?!"

Smith retracted his gaze and looked at the first mate. "Misia, what's the situation now?"

Misia composed herself, ignoring the cold sweat on her forehead. She replied, "The hull is severely damaged. In three minutes, the water will flood over the keel."

"The three bottom compartments and boiler room number six are destroyed. Five watertight compartments have flooded. The ship won't last much longer. It will soon break apart at the number three compartment."

"Water will quickly overflow from the ship's chambers on either side of the E-deck. We can't save it. We estimate that the ship will be completely submerged in no more than half an hour!"

Smith pondered for a moment and asked, "How many people are on board?"

"2,200 lives. After the monster's impact, the three bottom compartments and the boiler room were destroyed. Now, we estimate there are about two thousand people left," Misia replied in a hoarse voice.

Smith heard the words and looked at the giant beast in the distance, almost going crazy, but all he could do now was try to save lives.

"Gather everyone immediately, distribute life jackets, and get on the lifeboats as quickly as possible. Save as many as you can!"

"Captain, should we prioritize women and children?"

Misia asked.

Smith hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Of course."

On the other side.

Godzilla looked at Han Shaoqing on his arm and thought, You can try attacking in my palm. If you can hurt me, you'll be considered qualified.

"It's that simple?"

Han Shaoqing felt a bit surprised.

He even suspected Godzilla might be trying to lure him onto its palm, just to crush him.

"You think it's simple?"

Godzilla seemed to be in a good mood, sizing up Han Shaoqing.

Its conditions, on the surface, seemed simple, but weren't.

As a Titan, Godzilla's body density was extremely high, and its defense was incredibly strong. Missiles barely scratched it. Even direct hits from nuclear explosions only produced smoke, leaving it unharmed and even invigorated.

Its defense was, as one could imagine, powerful.

"Alright, I'll give it a shot."

Time waits for no one; every second of delay could cost many lives.

"Let's do this then."

Godzilla opened the claws of his right hand. The giant forepaws had only four claws, each of which seemed incredibly thick to Han Shaoqing.

Jumping into Godzilla's palm, Han Shaoqing felt like Sun Wukong landing in the palm of the Buddha's hand.

"I'm going to start. Don't get angry if I hurt you."

"Hmph, we'll see if you can even hurt me."

Hearing Godzilla's somewhat tsundere inner thoughts, Han Shaoqing flipped the trident in his hand, gripped the handle tightly, and struck with all his might.

The Neptune's Trident whistled through the air, plunging downwards. It pierced Godzilla's tough hide, the trident's head sinking in, stopping only where Han Shaoqing's hand gripped it.

After gaining the physique of the Sea King, Han Shaoqing's strength had unconsciously reached an incredibly terrifying level.

It must be known that the Sea King in the Justice League could lift a 160,000-ton cruise ship with his bare hands against the force of tidal waves.

His strength might not be as freakish as Superman's, but it was not inferior to Wonder Woman's.

"Arooo!"

"It hurts! It hurts so much!"

Compared to Godzilla's massive size, the Neptune's Trident was like a toothpick. However, the trident was, after all, a divine weapon that could even break Superman's defense.

Although Godzilla's defense was strong, it was not necessarily stronger than Superman's.

The main thing was the special energy it carried, which caused Godzilla a great deal of pain, causing it to instinctively swing its claws.

"I said, don't get angry!!!"

With a flick of Godzilla's hand, Han Shaoqing felt like he was on a roller coaster without a seatbelt. It was quite a thrill, and he was flung out along with Neptune's Trident, flying at least a mile before falling into the sea.

After falling into the water, Han Shaoqing only had some damage to his clothes, but he didn't suffer any injuries.

However, Godzilla had a little blood flowing from its palm, which dripped into the sea.

"Pfft~"

Han Shaoqing surfaced in the water. At this moment, the surrounding seawater was close to zero degrees, and some thin ice could be seen on the surface of the sea.

But Han Shaoqing didn't feel cold at all while soaking in the water; he just felt refreshed.

Godzilla turned his head, looking in Han Shaoqing's direction, a faint blue light emanating from his body.

Seriously? Even if he's angry, does he have to use Atomic Breath on me?

"Hmph!"

Godzilla snorted, expelling two puffs of air, and then thought, "I acknowledge you. Are you interested in being my underling?"

"Uh..."

Hearing Godzilla's thoughts, Han Shaoqing was speechless.

I haven't even taken you as a mount yet, and you want to take me as your underling!

Then, he shook his wet hair, decisively used the Trident to cut his palm, raised his bleeding palm high, and then conveyed his thoughts.

"Godzilla-ge, you are heroic and imposing, I've admired you for a long time. Thank you for not disdaining me. Today, we'll swear an oath of brotherhood, from this day forward, you are my elder brother. We will share blessings and face hardships together. If I go against this oath, may I be struck by lightning."

Han Shaoqing solemnly acknowledged Godzilla as his elder brother.

Godzilla's strength was still very impressive.

Those massive legs, tens of meters thick, were right there. It would be foolish not to take advantage. This guy had lived for who knows how many tens of thousands of years, a veritable living fossil. Calling him "elder brother" wouldn't hurt, and he'd gain a seniority.

The world they were in now seemed to be complicated. Who knew when they'd encounter strong enemies? Having a powerful helper for future fights was a good thing.

"Alright, from now on, you are my second brother. Today, for your sake, I'll help these people out."

Godzilla, besides eating, sleeping, and fighting monsters, always enjoyed being the boss.

In the movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Rodan, a true traitor, caused Godzilla a lot of trouble in the early stages. But when Rodan finally acknowledged Godzilla as his boss, Godzilla readily accepted him. This showed his character.
