Before my words fell, we witnessed as Clayman's body was enveloped in a purplish-blue explosion as his body flew and smashed itself against the barrier.
when the dust settled, we could see Clayman's charred body laying against the barrier. He body filled with holes, showcasing the sudden combustion coming from within his body.
"What the hell just happened?" Rimuru asked while looking like he might just vomit.
"Those reactors have very specific calibrations, just a slight shift and the changes could be… fatal." I said completely unfazed by the scene Infront of me.
But true to the cockroach that he is, Clayman still wasn't completely dead, "You wretched man, you dare deceive me?"
I just threw my arms up in disbelief, "Deceive you? That was clearly your fault. Next time, don't tamper with things beyond your comprehension… although I doubt you live for a next time." I said the last part quietly.
Clayman turned to the side, "Milim, what are you doing, come and hel-" although, when he saw the scene of Milim fighting someone on par with her, he was instantly in awe, " That aura."
Rimuru: " Oh that? That's just our friend Veldora."
"Vel…Dora? The storm dragon?" Clayman muttered in disbelief.
"KamehamehameHAAAAAA!" As Veldora scream ended the energy within his hand released and charged at Milim as a beam, blowing her up.
In panic, Clayman reached to the other side, "Frey, come in here and help me out!"
"Sorry, Simon is the one controlling this barrier and no one can get in without his permission." Frey responded very comfortably, despite her partner being in such a perilous situation.
" What!?" Clayman turned to me in a fit of rage, " So you get to be involved in this battle against me but refuse to allow anyone else to help me!?"
" What are you talking about? I haven't gotten involved whatsoever, I've been strictly spectator the whole time."
In a fit of rage, Clayman lost all restraint and rationality and shouted at Milim who was about to be revealed from the fog, "Milim, I don't care anymore! Release your stampede and kill everyone here!"
There was a silence for a moment and then Milim turned towards us, "Now why would I do that? Rimuru, Shion and Simon are my good friends."
"Huh!" Clayman was stunned while Rimuru and my expressions didn't really change much.
And Milim had noticed this immediately, "Now tell me, how the hell did you two find out that I wasn't actually mind controlled!"
Rimuru: " Well I know because Simon told me, but I don't know how Simon knows."
Milim wanted to ask me how but realized that getting a straight forward answer from me is an impossible task.
" Wait, so she wasn't mind controlled, does that mean-" Clayman turned his head to Frey, " Frey! Have you betrayed me?!"
" Of course not. That would imply that I was on your side in the first place."
'Goddamn Frey, hit him where it hurts.' I thought as gobbled down deez nu- I mean a handful of popcorn.
"Now, I know that Carrion is also still alive so where is he?" Rimuru asked Frey.
Although, this just made me face palm, "Dude, you're literally staring right at him basically."
"Huh." Rimuru looked at me who was pointing to the lion headed attendant behind Frey.
"It seems I've been found out." The lion headed attendant took off the lion head to reveal…
"Demon lord Carrion, oh how could anyone have seen something so obvious coming from a mile away." I said sarcastically to Rimuru which just caused him to look enraged with me.
" Shut up, not everyone can have the intelligence gathering abilities that you have!" Rimuru shouted at me and then looked at Milim, " And you, do you have any idea about how worried I was!?"
" Huh? Well I…" Milim stammered when she saw that Rimuru had sprouted wings and was flying to her with an aggressive expression.
I had to grab hold of Rimuru's collar to prevent him from tearing Milim apart.
Now that the drama was over, I took the barrier down and enclosed the space, " Well then, it's good to see you are alive Carrion."
" Thank you and thank you for taking care of my people as well." Carrion said when approaching Rimuru.
Rimuru: " As much as I'd like to take credit for that. It was actually Simon who helped them out."
Carrion: "Mhm, but I thought that you were the one who allowed them refuge into your kingdom."
Rimuru: "Yeah but that is the extent of what I did. Simon basically just used my territory as shelter for them."
"I had faith that you weren't gonna be controlled but I must admit that I was still very concerned."
Milim and Frey went on with their banter which caused Milim to regain her dragon claws.
"Hey Milim, so I'm to believe that you weren't under Clayman's control and destroyed my nation of your own volition." Although Carrion had a smile, there were veins popping out of his head.
" Uh, well… I had to pretend… so that Clayman would believe me… so um." Milim began stammering her words as she tried to justify her actions.
" Yeah, but you were very well aware of what you did to my kingdom." The aura got brighter and the veins on Carrion's head got way more pronounced.
" C'mon, you complaining about such a small issue." Milim complained which caused Carrion to snap.
" What do you mean small! That's a huge deal! You destroyed my nation, how the hell am I supposed to rebuild?"
Rimuru stepped in to save the destroyer in distress, " Don't worry, me and Simon kinda covered for you there."
Carrion: " You… you did?"
" Yeah, Simon enslaved like forty percent of Clayman's army and we can use Clayman's treasury to pay for alot of the damages. Not to mention, Simon taught them better farming techniques and I gave them better construction equipment to work with."
Carrion looked so happy that he might cry, " Rimuru, Simon, I thank you from the bottom of my heart." Carrion actually kneeled before both of us to express his gratitude.
