His master has given him a week of rest, probably due to his failures, as James started heading out of his house.
He first headed to Blood Hand's first base, a warehouse, but hidden beneath it is an underground space.
He entered the warehouse as the man guarding it recognized James as the top assassin of the organization.
James made his way and entered the underground space as he placed the bomb button in a hidden location, then he headed out without anyone noticing anything amiss.
James did the same throughout the rest of the base for a week until finally, the entire Blood Hand base was covered with hidden bombs, just waiting to explode together.
James then headed home and cooked dinner as he dressed himself in formal attire. Tonight was when his master would meet with him, and he had already prepared 100 buttons just for him, packed inside a box wrapped in ribbon.
Then James took a car that was already parked in front of his house as the driver opened the car door and James entered.
The journey was smooth, and James arrived at his master's mansion. James got out of the car and the mansion gate opened remotely as his master's voice could be heard.
"Yo~ you've arrived, James~"
There in the garden of the mansion was a large table for two as his master sat there, slowly sipping red wine.
"Take a seat~"
James took a seat at the table as servants laid out dish after dish.
Smoked ribs, chicken, burgers, and many more dishes were on the table as his master said, "It's been four years since we met face to face?"
"How have you been, James~"
"It's been okay," James said while eating a steak.
"It's bad that your last mission failed, but I believe our top assassin won't make the same mistake?" he said with a slightly chilly voice, as if James said something that disappointed him he would have James erased just like other assassins previously.
"I won't make the same mistake," James said calmly, his eyes meeting his master's.
"Good!"
"By the way, master, I have a gift for you. Your birthday is coming soon, right?"
"A gift?"
James stepped to his master and presented the box wrapped with ribbon to him.
He took the box and nodded calmly, "I'll open it later."
Then the alarm James had set rang.
It was disguised as a phone call.
"Excuse me, master, could I take this call?"
His master snorted but nodded his head.
James walked away from the garden and out of the mansion, and he walked until the mansion was in the distance as he made a call to Dina.
Dina picked up and said through the phone, "James, did you plant all the bombs already?"
"Yes, you can activate it now..."
"Great! I've activated it already. It will explode in 5 minutes. Get out of there, James."
"Hmm..." James spied on the mansion in the distance as he watched his master having dinner all by himself.
This was the price of deception and murder against my family.
Ten seconds before the bomb exploded, his master was wondering why James hadn't come back yet as his patience ran thin.
"Hmm~ when is James gonna be back?"
Until he smelled something burning. Then an explosion rang out as a loud boom sounded, and the 100 bomb buttons, capable of blowing up a two-story building combined, reduced the garden and part of the large mansion to rubble as flames spread out.
The master of Blood Hand died in the massive explosion as James's phone sounded, "We did it, James!!!"
Dina's voice trembled with excitement as all the Blood Hand bases exploded in an uproar, and all their members died.
James looked coldly at the mansion now in ruins as flames spread and the guards panicked.
James left the place and also decided to leave his house.
Though some of the Blood Hand members survived, most had died along with their base; they wouldn't be able to recover for a long time.
News of Blood Hand faded in time until nobody remembered them anymore.
Ten years passed, and James was now on the outskirts of a town. He was tending to his own rice farm.
He now had a family and worked as a farmer. His history as an assassin was forgotten, and occasionally, Dina would come, talking about things. Dina had opened a pharmacy and succeeded in making his name known.
Who knew an explosive expert would one day sell medicine?
And an assassin that reaped lives would one day manage a farm.
That was the story of James the Assassin...
The End.
