Chapter 289 - Chapter 289: The Crabbe Father and Son "Reunited"

"No, no," Crabbe stammered, his eyes no longer filled with ruthlessness but only with fear. "You can't do this, you can't do this! There is no such precedent in the Wizarding World!"

"So you will be the first case," Hermione smiled as she looked down at Crabbe, who was being held by a Gummy Bear. "Congratulations, Mr. Vincent Crabbe."

Seeing that Hermione had finished what she wanted to say, Amanda gently waved her wand, and the Gummy Bear carried Crabbe out of Professor Snape's office.

"Professor Snape, we're taking Crabbe to the Ministry of Magic now."

Amanda nodded politely to Professor Snape.

Professor Snape gave an "Mhm" in response and immediately lowered his head to continue brewing his Potion.

He had warned them long ago that Amanda's strength and influence were not things that could be contended with. If the Young Wizards in the house couldn't see the situation clearly and had no brains, there was nothing he could do.

He was the Dean, not a nanny; he wouldn't go around watching every single student to make sure they didn't offend Amanda and Hermione.

So, regarding Crabbe's current fate, Professor Snape had absolutely no desire to help. Of course, even if he wanted to, he couldn't.

After delivering Crabbe to the Ministry of Magic and handing him over to the Aurors on duty, Amanda and Hermione returned directly to Hogwarts.

"Crabbe's father was also one of the participants in the attack after the Quidditch World Cup. He's currently being held by me, so I'll go deal with his issue first."

Back in the Dormitory, Amanda gently patted the back of Hermione's hand. Hermione released the arm she had wrapped around Amanda's waist, leaned down to kiss her earlobe, and slowly blew warm air into her ear.

"What does my darling plan to do with him?"

Amanda's breathing quickened slightly, but she still forced herself to control her voice and keep it steady.

"I plan to let Mr. Crabbe reunite with his son."

This meant she was going to kill Old Crabbe directly. Hermione's blowing paused for a moment.

"Should we let the Aurors handle this instead?" Hermione was a bit worried about whether killing Old Crabbe would have any psychological impact on her Amanda. Old Crabbe's life didn't matter, but her Amanda's mental health was very important.

"Don't worry, Hermione," Amanda turned back and gave Hermione a light kiss. "It's fine. I won't take this to heart. Besides, Old Crabbe himself is a deeply sinful Death Eater."

Killing a guy like that wouldn't cause Amanda any psychological problems; on the contrary, she would feel a bit proud of herself.

"Alright." Hermione pursed her lips and helped Amanda straighten her wizard robe in the mirror.

"Even though I know twenty or even two hundred Old Crabbes are no match for you, I still have to say—be careful."

"Mhm." Amanda nodded obediently, pulled out her wand with her right hand, and gave it a gentle flick. A rift appeared to her right.

Stepping into the rift, Amanda walked without pause toward the room where Old Crabbe was being held.

Creak. The door, which hadn't been opened for three years since Old Crabbe was locked inside, swung open. Old Crabbe, curled up on the bed in the room, looked back. The moment he saw Amanda, he jumped up, and even without a wand, he couldn't help but raise his right hand to point at her.

Turning back to close the door, Amanda wasn't afraid at all that Old Crabbe would try to use magic on her while her back was turned.

What about her back? Even if she left her back completely exposed to Old Crabbe, she could still sense his intent to strike in time and take him out before he could move.

After closing the door, Amanda slowly turned around to face Old Crabbe, giving a disdainful chuckle at his raised right hand.

"If you don't dare to make a move, then put your hand down, Mr. Crabbe. You look truly ridiculous like this."

"You don't even have the courage to act, so why pretend to resist?"

Old Crabbe gritted his teeth as he stared at Amanda. He desperately wanted to attack the girl in front of him, but every time the thought arose, he remembered how she had effortlessly sent them all crashing to the floor with a casual gesture, shattering more than half the bones in their bodies. It had taken him over a year of recovery just to barely get back on his feet.

And that was only because they were Wizards, with magic in their bodies that could self-repair. If they had been Muggles, that single blow would have likely left them crippled for life.

Back then, they all had wands and the advantage of numbers, yet they still couldn't defeat Amanda. Now he was alone and wandless.

Use Wandless and Non-verbal Spells? It would be a miracle if that could beat Amanda!

"Heh," Crabbe let out a cold snort, only then realizing that after three long years, his voice had become incredibly hoarse, to the point where he had almost forgotten how to speak. "You... come here... to gloat?"

"Of course not. How could you think so poorly of me?" Amanda spread her hands; she wasn't someone who made a habit of gloating.

"I'm just here to tell you how your son is doing and, by the way, to reunite the two of you."

"My son, what happened to him?!" Old Crabbe's emotions suddenly became agitated. He didn't believe Amanda would treat his son well.

Reuniting him with his son—did that mean his son was also going to be locked up here?

"Your son joined Voldemort," Amanda waved her hand to conjure a chair and sat down leisurely with her legs crossed. "He attempted to attack a Young Wizard at school with a Dark Arts item and was caught by us on the spot."

"Serving the Dark Lord," a touch of fanaticism appeared on Old Crabbe's face, "is his... honor!"

Amanda gave a mocking smile and, looking at Old Crabbe's excited face, said in a cold voice, "Do you think I'm going to lock your son up here like you?"

"You... what do you mean?"

Old Crabbe was stunned and looked at Amanda in disbelief. If she didn't lock his son here, where else could he go? Azkaban?

No, impossible. This girl wouldn't trust Azkaban.

"He will die," Amanda said nonchalantly, as if she weren't talking about a person's life or death, but rather that of a harmful venomous snake. "He will be the first case of the death penalty approved by the Ministry of Magic."

"No, impossible!" Old Crabbe's mental defenses were instantly shattered. He roared at Amanda as if she were lying.

"The Ministry of Magic... would never allow it. There is no pre... precedent!"

"Now there is. Your son, Vincent Crabbe, is it. He will definitely be sentenced to death. You've been away from the Wizarding World for too long."

"The current Ministry of Magic is very different from before."

Amanda lightly tapped the armrest of the chair she was sitting on, admiring Old Crabbe's dejected state.

He stumbled back two steps and collapsed onto the floor.

"What's wrong? Can't take it already?"

"When you Death Eaters were harming others and killing their loved ones, weren't you all quite decisive and joyful?"

Amanda leaned forward slightly, her tone full of mockery.

"How come it's different when it's your turn? You can't stand your own son getting what he deserves?"

Old Crabbe looked up at Amanda fiercely, his face covered in a constant stream of tears.

However, in the next moment, the vicious expression on his face vanished, replaced by a plea.

"I beg... I beg of you, spare my son. Kill me, kill me instead."

Amanda's brow furrowed, and she slowly stood up. "What are you pretending for?"

She looked at Old Crabbe with indifferent eyes. "Are you the kind of person who would cherish life?"

"The moment you, as a Death Eater, first began to harm others, your life should have been taken away."

"Similarly, the moment your son, as a Death Eater, began using that Dark Arts item to harm others, his life should have been taken away as well."

"It's only natural and right. And now you're pretending to respect life, pretending to cherish it."

"You're just afraid that the Crabbe family will disappear forever."

Amanda exposed Old Crabbe's thoughts in a grim tone. Upon hearing that the Crabbe family would disappear, Old Crabbe finally couldn't help but wail loudly.

As expected, for these pure-blood Death Eaters, the thought of their family line ending was the thing that could make them suffer the most.

Amanda looked down with a cold smile at Old Crabbe, who was slumped on the floor crying uncontrollably, his face filled with remorse and despair.

"This is exactly how the ordinary people you victimized felt. Remember this feeling, and then go describe it well to Satan."

Raising her hand toward Old Crabbe, Amanda clenched her right hand and gave it a sharp twist.

"Heh..." Old Crabbe only had time to squeeze out a tiny breath from his throat before his neck was snapped.

Withdrawing her hand and letting Old Crabbe's corpse fall to the floor, Amanda gave a casual wave. A burst of red flames flared up, instantly incinerating Old Crabbe's body to nothingness.

Now that the old one was dealt with, only the young one remained. As for the remaining mistress of the Crabbe family—Crabbe's mother.

Amanda had no intention of going after her. After all, according to the records, this lady had never harmed anyone as a Death Eater before. If she didn't join Voldemort or become a Death Eater to harm people in the future...

Then Amanda naturally wouldn't touch her. But if she did join Voldemort and become a Death Eater to harm others, then she was sorry—she could send the whole Crabbe family to reunite in hell.

Returning to the Dormitory from Ravenclaw Castle, Amanda was once again subjected to an inspection by Hermione and the two seniors.

"It seems she really isn't in a bad mood." Cho Chang finished checking Amanda's expression and felt completely relieved.

"My mood is very stable." Amanda felt both touched and amused. It was just killing a Death Eater; she wasn't that fragile.

"Better safe than sorry." Marietta Eckmore finished checking Amanda's arms, and after confirming there were no injuries, she also felt relieved.

"Did you learn that from Senior Cho Chang?" Amanda blinked. Senior Marietta's words sounded like they came from the East.

Marietta Eckmore nodded frankly. "Mhm, I learned that saying from Cho."

Hermione, who was responsible for checking Amanda's other parts, also finished her inspection. Letting out a long breath, she reached out to hug Amanda, kissing her neck repeatedly.

"As long as you're okay."

"Mm, it was just... an Old Crabbe... that's all. Nothing could go wrong."

Seeing that Amanda's body had been kissed into softness by Hermione, Cho Chang and Marietta Eckmore very cooperatively turned around and went back to Cho Chang's bed together, thoughtfully drawing the bed curtains.

Hermione gave a light chuckle and picked Amanda up, sitting down on Amanda's bed with her.

The day after Crabbe was taken to the Ministry of Magic, the Ministry announced the addition of the death penalty to the British Wizarding World. For now, it would apply to all Death Eaters, and Vincent Crabbe would become the extremely lucky first Death Eater to be sentenced to death.

Upon hearing his death sentence, Crabbe nearly fainted in court.

However, Amanda, who was also at the scene of the trial, easily helped him avoid fainting. With a Rennervate spell, let alone nearly fainting, he would have woken up even if he had gone into shock.

The news of the death penalty being added to the British Wizarding World spread throughout the entire Wizarding World and Muggle World via that day's The Daily Prophet and Wizarding World Gazette.

Most people in the Muggle World now also subscribed to these two newspapers just to stay informed about what was happening in the Wizarding World.

Then they saw the news of the death penalty being added to the Wizarding World.

Almost all ordinary citizens of the Wizarding World welcomed this. "We should have done this to Death Eaters long ago. Just locking them up was far too lenient!" most Wizards said.

And in the Muggle World, many Muggles also expressed their support.

"Without a doubt, Hermione Granger is definitely a Minister with courage and skill. I am very fortunate that she is still our prime minister."

"Adding the death penalty will surely lower the crime rate over there."

"This is a law set for law-abiding ordinary citizens; it will protect them more effectively!"

Of course, a portion of Muggles expressed their opposition, generally believing that the Ministry of Magic's addition of the death penalty was a regression of civilization, and from this, they could see Hermione Granger's own ruthlessness.

"Prisoners also have human rights; we cannot strip them of their right to survive."

"This is a regression of civilization, a tragedy of the era!"

When these minority opinions appeared on the internet, before Amanda and Hermione could even react, an even larger number of Muggles first refuted them.

"You guys should just shut up! A group of brainless people here calling a brainy person ruthless?"

"The crime rate is high precisely because of people like you."

"This is a progress of civilization, a hymn of the era."

"Fortunately," Hermione said, letting out a sigh of relief as she looked at the latest Magic-tech phone Amanda handed her, "normal people still make up the majority."

"Yeah," Amanda nodded in agreement, "thankfully there are more normal people, otherwise it would really be a headache."

"It seems that the restoration of the death penalty in the Muggle World shouldn't be a major problem at the level of the ordinary populace," Hermione said thoughtfully.

"It'll be fine, don't worry." Amanda kissed the corner of Hermione's mouth, and the two girls smiled at each other.
