Chapter 184 - Distinguished Guests Arrive

After 1,000 years had passed, Andreas guessed that he would certainly have many things to deal with upon waking, but this wake-up "surprise" was arguably a bit too massive.

With the collective exodus of the Highborne from Astranaar, there was no longer anyone responsible for teleportation. Shandris, upon hearing of Andreas's awakening, had no choice but to fly over on a Hippogryph.

Mount Hyjal and Ashenvale are closely adjacent, and Shandris arrived just over an hour after Andreas woke up, bringing the latest first-hand intelligence from Astranaar.

"Although the Archdruid is still very angry, the awakening of the High Priestess has finally diluted some of his rage."

Shandris spoke with a wry smile, "The timing of your awakenings is truly impeccable; I'm even starting to wonder if Elune did this on purpose."

Andreas pulled the corners of his mouth into a mirthless grin. "No need to wonder; she definitely did it on purpose. While this Moon Goddess is indeed a benevolent deity, she is by no means as gentle and demure as you imagine."

Many among the Night Elves hold a strange misconception about Elune; they believe that a deity possesses no mortal emotions and only looks down upon all living beings with impartiality.

But after personally coming into contact with Elune multiple times, Andreas could explicitly tell these people that such self-fabricated myths were all nonsense.

Elune, like mortals, possesses the full range of seven emotions and six desires. Occasionally, she even plays mischievous little pranks or black-heartedly teases her own followers.

Andreas never believed that gods were high-and-mighty or unapproachable. To look no further, the Old Gods spend all day thinking about getting "close" to mortals, wishing they could turn all mortals into their subordinates.

Tyrande's sudden awakening eased the Archdruid's anger, allowing Astranaar—which had been shrouded in a low-pressure atmosphere recently—to relax considerably.

However, the problem remained. Now it depended on how Malfurion intended to view Moonshadow's Rest's assistance in the Highborne's evacuation, and how to deal with the Highborne who had fled.

Andreas prepared to set these matters aside for the time being, including the things previously discussed with Maiev, which were now half-rendered void due to this sudden incident.

Onyxia's intelligence gave him a rough idea for his next move.

As for the governing rights of the Night Elves mentioned by Elune, he couldn't care less about that for now. Besides, he didn't even know if Tyrande and Malfurion would agree; it was better to focus on his own affairs first.

...

After Onyxia communicated with Sintharia through special channels, the Dragon Queen confirmed that the crazed blue dragon was indeed the Spell-Weaver, Malygos.

According to her, Malygos had almost completely lost his sanity. Currently, he lived no differently than a wild beast, spending his days eating raw meat and drinking blood. Both she and Nefarian had attempted to approach and communicate with him several times, only to be met with heartless attacks.

Fortunately, Malygos's mind was unclear; he did not use his powerful Arcane magic, instead choosing to fight the two black dragons through physical brawling.

Otherwise, relying only on the wounded Black Dragon Queen and the not-yet-fully-grown Nefarian, the two of them combined probably wouldn't be enough to handle Malygos with one hand tied behind his back.

The many problems accumulated in Moonshadow's Rest over the past 1,000 years could only be postponed for later processing; after all, no major issues had cropped up in all those years.

After resting briefly upon waking, Andreas immediately sought out the green dragons who had not yet withdrawn from Moonshadow's Rest, asking them to relay the news of Malygos's discovery to Ysera and the other Guardian Aspects.

These green dragons, who had been stationed in Moonshadow's Rest for 1,000 years, had long since become familiar with the local mortals. They were quite fond of the prosperity of Moonshadow's Rest... especially the various delicious foods.

Upon hearing news of Malygos, the green dragons dared not delay. They immediately dove into the Emerald Dream to transmit the message to Ysera.

Over an hour later, several dragons transformed into mortals descended upon Moonshadow's Rest via teleportation. Leading them was a blue-haired beauty with a face full of anxiety; she introduced herself as Saragosa.

The other dragons were all familiar faces to Andreas: Ysera the Dreamer, Alexstrasza the Life-Binder, and Soridormi, the consort of the Bronze Dragonflight. All of them had briefly interacted with Andreas after the War of the Ancients ended.

Why are they all female... the dragonflights seem to be leaning heavily toward the matriarchal side.

Glancing at Onyxia, who was sitting upright beside him, Andreas's mind wandered for a split second.

Although Onyxia was a Black Dragon Princess, her noble status didn't mean much when facing this group of "big shots" whose identities and strength were equally terrifying.

How sharp were the eyes of these Aspects? Except for the blue dragon consort Saragosa, who had lost her composure due to anxiety, Ysera and the other two saw through Onyxia's identity as a black dragon at a single glance.

"A Black Dragon?"

Alexstrasza frowned. "Andreas, why is there a black dragon whelp in your territory? I hope you can give us a reasonable explanation."

Currently, the black dragons were being hunted by the Wyrmrest Temple. If the charge of harboring a black dragon were established, these powerhouses might turn hostile on the spot.

Hearing Alexstrasza's inquiry, Saragosa's gaze also sharpened. she stared straight at the restless Onyxia, her eyes filled with such hatred that the black dragon princess felt like she was sitting on pins and needles.

Andreas explained with a wry smile, "Everyone, please give me a moment to start from the beginning."

"This is the Black Dragon Princess Onyxia. She is one of the few pure black dragons who have not been tainted by Deathwing's madness."

Ysera, in her Night Elf form, raised an eyebrow. She hadn't expected this little black dragon, who was trembling like a quail, to be royalty.

After Andreas's explanation, the four dragon powerhouses present finally calmed down.

Soridormi, the consort of the Bronze Dragonflight, stared at Onyxia with her golden vertical pupils for a long time, a puzzled expression gradually appearing on her face.

"Strange, I always feel that there's something wrong with her destiny line, but looking closely, I can't see anything at all."

Andreas chuckled inwardly. Of course you can't see it. After all, we are on the prime timeline, and all branches are extended based on this line.

As time was tight, Andreas did not follow Soridormi's topic and briefly recounted the matters concerning Onyxia and Sintharia.

"Sintharia? I didn't expect her to still be alive."

The Dragonqueen Alexstrasza sighed somewhat. "I heard that all of Nelth—Deathwing's consorts died because they couldn't withstand his violent power after his fall. I thought Sintharia couldn't be spared either, but it turns out she escaped."

Ysera, who was most familiar with Andreas, looked at him solemnly and asked, "Andreas, can Sintharia truly be trusted? Could she also be corrupted by Deathwing and deliberately setting a trap to lure us in?"

Andreas shook his head. "I considered that possibility before seeing the Black Dragon Queen in person, but Sintharia's hatred for Deathwing is definitely not faked. Her body suffered very serious injuries that have yet to recover even now."

Onyxia interrupted gloomily, "That was caused by Deathwing. Although Mother luckily escaped with her life, her injuries cannot be healed in a short time."

Saragosa, learning that Malygos was on another continent across the sea, interrupted Onyxia and asked, "I don't care about the black dragons; the blue dragons must bring back our King."

"Lord Moonshadow, please point out the correct route for me. I must set out immediately!"

Andreas nodded. "This is precisely my intention in notifying you all to come here. The Eastern Kingdoms is still an unknown territory to us; only the blue dragons, as the guardians of magic, know the local leylines."

"I ask that Your Highness the Consort lock onto the coordinates in advance. His Majesty Malygos is located within a large snowy mountain range in the central part of the Eastern Kingdoms."

"Snowy mountains... I understand. Give me a moment."

Saragosa closed her eyes on the spot to calculate the coordinates. Andreas turned to look at Alexstrasza, Ysera, and Soridormi.

"The three of you, due to the internal turmoil among the Night Elves, some of my kin are currently on their way across the sea. I intend to follow you to the Eastern Kingdoms to see the situation."

"If we can successfully awaken His Majesty Malygos's sanity, I hope the dragonflights can send someone to notify me. I would like to ask His Majesty Malygos for a favor."
