Chapter 179 - Don't Be So Arrogant

Having been "stood up" for five hundred years, Andreas had once thought that Elune was extremely displeased with the conflict between himself and Tyrande, and might even toss him onto some deserted planet to play with mud and reflect on his actions.

But the Emerald Dream...

"Why the Emerald Dream?"

"Hehe~ You'll know when you get there."

The Emerald Dream is a mirror world anchored to Azeroth. As Night Elves who enjoy the blessing of the World Tree, they naturally possessed high access rights.

Under the watchful eyes of Shandris and the other two, Andreas closed his eyes, and his head tilted as he drifted into a state of sleep. His even breathing was clearly audible in the quiet office.

"...He fell asleep?"

Celeste's expression was a bit dazed. She hadn't expected Uncle Andreas to make so many preparations, only for it to end so abruptly, like a great clap of thunder followed by a tiny raindrop.

"Wait."

Shandris sensed something was off. Resting her chin on her hand, she thoughtfully observed her soundly sleeping boyfriend. "It shouldn't be just simple sleep. Could he have been pulled into the Emerald Dream?"

...

As Shandris, with the help of the two juniors, gently carried the slumbering Andreas to his bed, a similar event was occurring in Annahis.

However, that no longer concerned Andreas and Tyrande, who had entered the dream realm simultaneously. When the two regained consciousness, the scenery before them had undergone a massive transformation compared to before they fell asleep.

"...The Emerald Sanctuary of Mount Hyjal?"

"Where is this?"

Different voices of doubt rang out at the same time. Andreas and Tyrande turned their heads simultaneously, only then realizing there was someone beside them.

"Hmph!"

Tyrande felt a surge of irritation the moment she saw Andreas. With a cold snort, she turned her head away.

Andreas twitched the corner of his mouth but ignored Tyrande's attitude, turning his attention back to the massive cavern before them.

Unlike Tyrande, who was entering the Emerald Dream for the first time, Andreas had at least "scouted the location" before. The grotto before them was precisely the residence of Ysera the Dreamer within the Emerald Dream.

It seems Elune pulled us in through the power of Ysera, the administrator of the dream.

While Tyrande was still looking around with curiosity, Andreas took the first step into the grotto.

Ysera was currently crouched deep within the cave. Unlike her lazy and decadent appearance during their last meeting, Ysera now maintained a respectful posture, gazing at the Night Elf woman dressed in a white gauze gown before her.

"Uh... could it be?"

From Andreas's angle, he could only see the woman's back. With a quick thought, he guessed her identity.

Sure enough, as Andreas stepped into the grotto, the woman seemed to sense him and turned her head. That familiar, beautiful face was exactly the same as the one Elune had instructed Andreas to carve onto the statue in the Temple of the Dark Moon's Shadow.

Elune waved to Andreas with a smile. "Come closer, and you too, Tyrande."

Tyrande, who had been admiring the scenery of the Emerald Dream, finally snapped back to reality. Lifting her skirt, she trotted to the front of Elune and respectfully knelt on one knee.

"Respected Elune, merciful Goddess of the Moon, your faithful servant Tyrande Whisperwind is honored to behold your true form."

Andreas pursed his lips at Tyrande's emotional display. Ever since Elune had instructed him to spread her true appearance to the world, he had guessed she would continue to use this stunning visage in the future.

...He just didn't know if this face was something Elune had spent thousands of years finding inspiration to "sculpt."

Ysera turned to look at the two individuals with their differing temperaments. "Elune, your two favored ones have arrived. Shall we begin now?"

"Yes, let us begin."

Elune waved to both of them with a smile, and a cool, moon-white radiance enveloped them.

Andreas and Tyrande's expressions suddenly changed. They both felt the energy within their bodies being sealed away.

However, unlike Tyrande, who specialized in Holy spells and minored in the path of a Ranger, Andreas still possessed natural energy as a Druid, in addition to his sealed Shadow power.

Under Elune's incredibly precise seal, the Shadow power and Nature power within Andreas's body were perfectly separated. To his surprise, he found he could once again use pure Nature spells.

Tyrande's brow twitched slightly when she saw the faint green light appearing in Andreas' hand.

"Respected Goddess of the Moon, we..."

Seeing the hesitant expression on Tyrande's face, not knowing whether she should ask, Elune smiled gently.

"Do not overthink it; this is not a punishment for you."

"Sealing your power is only to let you temporarily set aside everything in the material world, return to your starting point, and look at this world from a new perspective."

Elune's eyes, shining with silver light like the stars, turned toward Tyrande. "Tyrande, I have told you before: over the past thousand years, your management of the faithful has not satisfied me."

Tyrande obediently lowered her head to admit her fault. "I am deeply sorry... for failing to meet your expectations."

Elune shook her head with a smile. "You cannot be blamed alone. It was I who pushed you, who had no prior management experience, into such a high position. Faced with a sudden elevation in status, it is only natural that your mindset would change."

Hehe~

Andreas let out a mocking laugh in his heart.

Although Elune spoke very tactfully to save Tyrande's face, Andreas's direct interpretation of those words was...

"You are just a village girl I endowed with privileges. I was too hasty in suddenly placing you in the position of a national leader. Let's start over from the beginning."

While Tyrande was not stupid, in the presence of the Moon Goddess she had worshipped since childhood, she did not hear the deeper meaning in Elune's words. Instead, she was immensely grateful for the other's magnanimity.

Andreas rolled his eyes helplessly. Tyrande, who usually acts like a domineering female CEO, becomes a "silly-sweet" innocent the moment she stands before Elune...

Ysera noticed Andreas's expression, and a hint of amusement flashed in her yellow dragon pupils. Clearly, she had also understood the subtext of Elune's words.

"Ahem~"

The "touching" scene before him was starting to be a bit much for his eyes, so Andreas gave a light cough to change the subject.

"Respected Elune, the five-hundred-year period you asked us to prepare for has passed. What exactly are we supposed to do next? We won't be returning to the material world with our powers sealed like this, will we?"

After helping Tyrande up, Elune smiled at Andreas. He always felt there was a slight touch of mischievousness in her smile.

"Of course not. Otherwise, there would have been no need for me to specifically pull you into the Emerald Dream."

As a true deity, Elune could not remain in the material world for long. However, the Emerald Dream, a dream world in the cracks of reality, acted as a loophole where she could manifest a projection of her true self.

Elune turned and gave Ysera a look, and the Green Dragon Queen immediately nodded in understanding.

Before Andreas could even process the meaning, the scenery before him underwent another abrupt change. Suddenly appearing on a vast, endless prairie, Andreas helplessly patted his forehead.

"...Your Majesty Ysera, could you give a heads-up before the next transfer?"

Ysera had a very good temper. She didn't mind Andreas's dissatisfaction and said with a smile, "If there is a next time, I will keep that in mind."

Having finally arrived at their destination, Elune floated in mid-air and revealed her intentions to Andreas and Tyrande.
