Chapter 1 - The night that didn't end

Rain, Darkness, a Moment

Rain.,,,,

No one noticed when it began.

But when it fell it felt as if the sky itself had torn open.Streetlights shattered across the water

on the road.....

Red and yellow bled into grey,

colors losing their meaning.Then!!!

A loud crash.,

Metal colliding with metal.

A scream…

or perhaps just the wind screaming through the rain.No one could say for sure.

Near the edge of the road,a body lay still.

A girl.....,,

Her face was hidden by rain.

Her hair clung to the ground, soaked and heavy. It was impossible to tell

whether her hands were moving or completely still.

People gathered around. But no one stepped closer.

"Is she…?"

Someone's voice trembled.

The rain answered,Relentless,Unforgiving.

A car stopped nearby. The door did not open. After a moment,it moved forward again.A siren cut through the silence.

Distant at first,Then closer. Then so close that even thoughts drowned beneath it.

Light,Movement.Someone's hands.

And then,Nothing.

*A Few Days Later* Eidolon City:,

Eidolon City never truly sleeps. But in the mornings,it wakes like someone

who has lost something and doesn't remember what. That morning, the sky was grey.It wasn't raining,But the promise of rain hung heavy in the air.

"Ethan " was already awake.

Before the alarm rang. That part was easy for him.Waking up was never the problem,The problem was knowing

why he should get up.He lay on his bed,

staring at the ceiling. There was nothing there. And yet,his mind refused to stay empty.

Thirty years old....

The number sat inside him like weight.

People said thirty was a milestone the age when life settles. When relationships stabilize. When direction becomes clear.

Nothing felt settled for Ethan,,

He stood by the window.

Below, Eidolon City moved forward

at its own pace.Traffic,Horns.

The smell of coffee drifting from cafés.

"This city is moving forward,"

he thought.

"I'm the only one standing still"

In the bathroom mirror,he looked at himself. No strong emotion on his face.

Only quiet exhaustion.

"Is this really me?" he wondered.

The mirror,as always,remained silent.

Ethan worked as a Content Strategist.

A man who polished other people's stories with words.Words had never betrayed him.But the silence between words that was what drained him.

At the bus stop, people stood close together.Yet no one looked at anyone else.Everyone had somewhere to go.

When the bus arrived,Ethan stood by the window.

Eidolon City flowed backward.

Glass buildings,Massive billboards.

"Dream Bigger." "Be More."

This city tells you to become something, but never tells you how.

The office building glowed under white lights.Inside, everything felt the same.

Desks,Screens,People smiling in the same tone.

"Morning, Ethan."

He nodded,No words followed.

He sat down.Opened his laptop.Emails.Deadlines.

Words flowed.

But none of them belonged to him.

"Coffee?"

a voice asked.

**Clara.**

She smiled easy, genuine.

"Later,"

Ethan replied.

She walked away. Her presence lingered a little longer than it should have.

I wanted to say something.

I always did.

But…

Fear always arrived first.

Evening fell.

The city changed its colors again.

Neon lights,Wet roads.Ethan walked.

People everywhere.Yet he was alone.

That was when he felt it Someone

was watching him.

He turned around,No one was there.

But the feeling didn't leave.Eidolon City never speaks directly. It gives signs first,

Quiet ones.

Ethan didn't know, that his life was already tied to the shadow of an accident. He had not met yet.

But the story had already found a way

into his world.
