Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

"Protego!"

At the critical moment, Lynn waved his wand! A translucent barrier instantly condensed in front of him!

"Clang—!"

With a crisp sound like metal clashing, the Diffindo hit the Shield Charm, erupting in a shower of sparks before vanishing into nothingness.

But the massive impact still left Lynn's arm numb, making him stumble. More importantly—he was completely exposed!

"Who's there?!"

The two Dark Wizards were startled by this sudden block. They snapped their heads toward Lynn's hiding spot, their wands pointing at him instantly.

"Torrential Impact! Expelliarmus!"

Lynn didn't hesitate for a second, using both hands—his own wand in his right hand sprayed a high-pressure stream of water, while the salvaged Weasley wand in his left hand shot out the red light of the Expelliarmus Spell!

Dual-wielding wands, full firepower!

Unfortunately, the combination of multitasking and nerves meant his aim was quite poor.

The Expelliarmus Spell flew off to who-knows-where, but the range of Torrential Impact was large enough. The surging water hit the chubby Dark Wizard like a sledgehammer, knocking him flat on his back. He became a drenched mess, groaning and unable to get up for the moment.

"Cruciatus Curse!"

The tall Dark Wizard was both shocked and enraged. Seeing his companion knocked down, he didn't even check who was attacking them before firing off a curse that shot toward Lynn with a tooth-aching hiss!

"Screw your sister!"

Lynn was so scared that his hometown slang burst out, and Peters Jolt was sounding a frantic warning!

Almost purely on physical instinct, combined with the extreme control of "Perfect Bodily Control," he performed a clumsy but effective side roll. The curse grazed the hem of his robes and hit a tree behind him; the bark instantly turned charred and twisted!

[Engrave]

[Ding! Engraving successful!]

Great, he had "learned" another one.

"Run! I'll hold them off! Go get the Professors!"

Lynn took the opportunity to shout toward Edgar and the other two.

He had Apparition as a safety net and could leave whenever he wanted, but he had to ensure his friends' safety first.

Hearing Lynn's shout, the two Dark Wizards instinctively looked back to find Lynn's companions, exposing their own positions.

"Looking for your daddy?! Diffindo! Diffindo!"

Lynn seized the chance, flicking both wands again. This time he was calmer, and the accuracy of the two Cutting Charms improved significantly as they shot toward the two Dark Wizards!

"Ah!" "Hiss—"

A gash opened on the tall Wizard's arm, and the chubby one, who had just managed to stand up, was hit in the leg. Both groaned and scrambled to hide behind trees.

Edgar, William, and Ollie knew that staying would only make them a burden. Taking advantage of the Dark Wizards being suppressed, they gritted their teeth, found their bearings, and ran desperately toward the lights of the Castle.

"Expelliarmus!"

The tall Wizard peeked out from behind the tree and retaliated in annoyance.

"Whoa—holy crap!"

Lynn noticed that the opponent's Spell was much less accurate due to injury and anger, flying crookedly over his head. It was much easier to dodge, and he even had time to complain.

He cast the Disillusionment Charm he had recently mastered; his body's color quickly blended into the surroundings, and he vanished silently into the shadows.

'Buy time, wait for reinforcements.'

Lynn made up his mind. 'I can't get expelled from Hogwarts just for taking out these two small fry, or what will happen to my system missions?'

"You little brat! Where are you hiding? Get out here!" the tall Wizard cursed exasperatedly, searching cautiously.

"Your daddy is here! Expelliarmus!"

Lynn appeared behind him like a ghost, and the Expelliarmus hit its mark!

The tall Wizard's wand flew out of his hand and dropped to the ground.

"Stupefy!"

Without stopping, Lynn immediately fired a Stunning Spell, hitting the opponent squarely in the chest.

The tall Wizard's eyes rolled back, and he slumped limply to the ground.

Lynn blended back into the environment.

He felt these two Dark Wizards were truly pathetic, with extremely low combat skills. They couldn't even beat a defenseless first-year Wizard like him.

Now, the tables had turned! The hunter had become the prey.

The remaining chubby Wizard was scared out of his wits. He lay in the grass, desperately trying to lower his presence, even holding his breath.

"Expelliarmus! Stupefy!"

Like an experienced hunter, Lynn easily spotted the clumsy hiding spot.

Two Spells were fired in quick succession, hitting with precision!

The chubby Wizard didn't even have time to let out another scream before following in his companion's footsteps, completely losing consciousness.

Having finished all this, Lynn breathed a long sigh of relief.

He walked over and picked up the wands of the two unconscious Dark Wizards. Now he had three trophies.

Afterward, Lynn used a rope created with Transfiguration to tie the two of them up securely.

Then, without hesitation, he concentrated his mind, recalling the path they had taken and the location of the edge of the Forbidden Forest—

"Pop!"

With a faint crack, he cast Apparition and instantly vanished from the spot.

The next moment, he appeared at the edge of the vegetable patch they had passed earlier. The cool night breeze made him shiver.

"Lynn?! You... weren't you still inside?!"

Edgar and the others, who had just reached the vegetable patch, saw Lynn appear out of thin air. Their eyes nearly popped out of their heads in shock.

"They've both been knocked out by me! Let's go! We'll talk back at the dormitory!"

Lynn didn't have time to explain and urged his still-shocked friends on.

The group sprinted all the way, finally making it back to the brightly lit Castle entrance without further incident.

Before rushing through the doors, Lynn didn't forget to casually toss the salvaged wand belonging to a certain Weasley in a conspicuous spot near the entrance...

Inside the Hufflepuff Dormitory, the four-person group, still shaken, gasped for breath. It was mainly Edgar and the other two.

"How... how did you do it?! Taking on two Dark Wizards by yourself?!"

Edgar grabbed Lynn's arm, his voice still trembling, but his eyes were filled with a light of admiration.

William and Ollie also crowded around, their faces full of disbelief.

"They were too weak," Lynn shrugged, trying to sound as nonchalant as possible. "They panicked after getting hit by my Spells, and then I... well, I found an opening to take them down."

"Cool! So cool! What was that big water bomb Spell you used? And how did you dodge that..." Edgar's questions came one after another.

Clearly, for them, this thrilling night and their roommate, who had suddenly revealed his "God of War" attributes, were enough to keep them too excited and shaken to sleep...

Meanwhile.

In the school infirmary, the Weasley twins—Fred and George—were lying side by side on hospital beds, being examined by Madam Pomfrey, while Professor McGonagall stood nearby with a grim expression.

"...So, you entered the Forbidden Forest without permission after curfew and then encountered two unidentified Dark Wizards?" Professor McGonagall's voice was as cold as ice.

"Yes, Professor," Fred admitted honestly. "They seemed to be trying to catch a... er, some kind of creature.

One of them talked a lot and wouldn't stop complaining. We managed to slip away while he was distracted by his own grumbling..."

It was precisely the Dark Wizard's talkativeness that had given the twins the chance to escape and report the situation.

They had scrambled back to the Castle and happened to run right into Professor McGonagall on her night rounds.

After hearing their account, Professor McGonagall realized the gravity of the situation and immediately summoned Professors Snape and Flitwick to head to the Forbidden Forest.

Right at the Castle entrance, they found the lost wand.

And when they ventured deep into the Forbidden Forest to the location described by the twins, they only found two Dark Wizards who had been knocked out by Stunning Spells, tied up securely, and stripped of their wands, lying there helplessly.

The Professors looked at each other, their minds filled with the same question: Who had subdued these two? And done it so "thoroughly"? It couldn't possibly be a student from Hogwarts.
