It was Jumin's birthday, and he was in bed in the studio apartment with Donghwa—shirtless, as the two had spent the night wide awake making love. The sheet covered them up to their shoulders and arms while the TV played the morning news. "...and the 7th Yongsan Book Fair in Seoul is hosting renowned female Korean authors today—Park Hyemi, Han Kang, Shin Kyungsook, Gong Jiyeong, and Yang Gwija—who will participate in a talk on the value of women in literature, as well as sign copies of their books," the reporter announced as Jumin watched the screen. "Let me get the cake I bought yesterday," Donghwa said, wrapping a towel around himself and heading to the kitchen.
"Did you buy cake for me?" Jumin asked as Donghwa was already in the kitchen. "Of course—unless you actually thought I'd leave the house at 6 a.m. naked just to buy cake." Donghwa opened the fridge, took out the cake, and brought it back to the bed; it was a white cake—vanilla with blueberries and sprinkles on top.
"That's something you'd probably do," Jumin replied; this prompted Donghwa to grab a disposable plate and throw it at Jumin as they both laughed. "You pervert!" Donghwa couldn't hold back his laughter. "You're lucky we ended up sleeping at your apartment, or else I'd tell the others what we did in the middle of the night!" he added. Even though Jumin was laughing hard, Donghwa was right. "Screw you! You aren't crazy enough to do that," Jumin said.
"Seriously, we were wild tonight," Donghwa admitted as he picked up a glass plate—and indeed, they had been so wild that they'd had sex until sunrise. "Yeah, haha, you were insatiable," Jumin replied while cutting a slice of cake for Donghwa, when suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
"Did you invite someone?" Donghwa asked; Jumin shrugged. "Weird..." Donghwa remarked. Jumin stood up—still naked—grabbed a robe, and walked over to open the door. "Surprise!" shouted a man Jumin knew. "Hakjoon? It's been so long since I last saw you," Jumin laughed.
Hakjoon (birth name: Cha Hakjoon) was born on January 7, 1976, in Seongsan, Changwon, Gyeongsangnam, South Korea, and is currently 25 years old. For a time, he—along with Jungyu, Yoomin, Jumin, Woohyun, and Yesung—was part of the original lineup of a group called DJ Supernova. This was an experimental project by Mirae Entertainment that achieved a certain level of success (not massive, but considerable). They "debuted" on January 1, 1999, with "Wa!" (a song originally intended to be NRG's debut track) and later released "Heartlove," which sparked controversy due to the members performing shirtless and the song's double-entendre lyrics. However, in June of that same year, it was announced that the project would be cancelled and revamped after Hakjoon, Jungyu, and Yoomin left the company for undisclosed reasons.
"How is the group doing now?" Hakjoon asked as Donghwa stealthily grabbed a pair of pants to put on. They chatted for a while until Hakjoon handed him a book as a gift and left, leaving Jumin and Donghwa stunned. "Where were we again?" Donghwa asked.
"Don't ask me," Jumin replied as Donghwa took off his pants and lay back down on the bed. "Aren't you going to eat the cake?" he asked; so Jumin sat back up and ate it.
