Chapter 136 - Chapter 136: Let My Misfortune Be Your Fortune

Guessing blindly based on intuition is an extremely helpless choice.

Before, perhaps one could have adopted the optimistic attitude of "gain is good fortune, loss is death."

But things are different now.

Anti-Entropy has learned of the existence of resurrection items, so they won't give up any chance to answer the questions correctly.

While St. Freya Academy isn't as obsessed with resurrection as Anti-Entropy, considering they've already collected four resurrection cards and only one is needed to reliably function, it's natural to want to answer the questions correctly and collect this last one.

"...Bronya might have an idea about the order."

As everyone racked their brains, pondering the correct answer, which offered almost no clue, Bronya's calm voice echoed in everyone's ears.

Everyone's eyes were fixed on Bronya.

Enjoying the feeling of being surrounded by attention, Bronya raised her head slightly, swayed her body, and then met everyone's gaze. She looked at the option.

"Although the previous footage of the Sea of Quanta didn't mention these three worlds."

"But... judging from Bronya's condition at the time, she was clearly seriously injured."

"What does that even mean?" Tesla folded her arms, somewhat dismissive.

"You're injured, but what does that have to do with what we're discussing now?" She didn't see any connection.

"Injured?"

Mei whose intelligence had soared to its peak nodded slightly after hearing this, recalling Bronya's condition at the time.

"Indeed, Bronya at that time looked as if she had experienced an extremely fierce battle."

Einstein understood something.

Glancing at the answer, a flicker of understanding crossed her sullen eyes. Based on the clues Bronya had given and her own deductions, she spoke slowly.

"Of the three, Welt was labeled the villain, and according to the question, she met Welt..."

Before she finished her words, Welt was stunned, then stared at Einstein, his face darkening.

"You mean... Bronya fought against me, the one labeled the villain...?"

Listening to these people's chatter, Tesla couldn't help but yell, "Hey, Mophead, what the hell are you talking about?!"

"I think I overestimated Dr. Tesla. I thought she could keep up with our thinking. Sigh."

Ein's expression remained calm, her words filled with lament and regret. This naturally infuriated Tesla who stamped her foot in anger.

"Bah, I already understood! How could a genius like me not understand something so simple?!"

She glared at Einstein and said angrily. "But how can you be so sure that Bronya's injury is related to that evil Welt?"

Scientists need evidence! Evidence!

"Indeed, we can't be certain that Bronya's condition at the time was related to Welt. After all, we know nothing about the exact circumstances."

"But we can't deny this possibility, can we?"

Einstein brushed back a strand of hair that had fallen from her movements. Her face was calm and her tone even.

"At least considering the Welt villain, he did have the motivation and ability to achieve these things."

"But..."

Seeing Tesla about to say something, Einstein didn't give her a chance, saying calmly:

"Dr. Tesla, we don't have many buts on this matter."

Perhaps Bronya was indeed injured for some other reason.

This speculation might also be wrong.

But at least it gave them who had previously been clueless a direction to consider.

Understanding this, Tesla was speechless. What else was there to say?

Pacifying Tesla, Einstein offered a conclusion.

"Assuming Bronya suffered such an injury, it would be difficult for her to continue. This also means that the villain Welt must be the last of the three worlds."

As she finished her words, everyone turned their attention to the screen.

[C.2.1.3]

[D.1.2.3]

Of the four options, only these two answers, with Welt ranked last, were there.

Exhaling a sigh of relief, Einstein smiled.

"Everyone, now it's a choice between two."

Everyone smiled in delight.

The reduced difficulty of the choices was partly a factor, but the greater part was the sense of accomplishment that comes from eliminating incorrect answers through analysis and arriving at the correct one.

Hmm, this is probably the sense of accomplishment a master student feels after solving a problem, right?

Most of them were used to it, with the exception of Kiana, who slipped through the cracks of school.

Although she had previously vowed to strive for progress and study hard, and even tried to do so herself during class, sadly, the results were limited.

Kiana appears to be completely insulated from learning. She fell asleep at the sound of the teacher's lecture and felt dizzy at the sight of the densely packed text in the textbook. These reactions seemed to be ingrained in her DNA.

However, people around her, like Himeko and Mei, seemed to be exceptions.

If they were giving Kiana extra lessons, or if it was Himeko's class, Kiana would be fully alert, listening and watching intently... though her learning efficiency was still poor.

As for why she wasn't sleepy when it came to the extra lessons of those around her...

Bronya was intrigued, so she observed for a moment.

Finally, she silently offered a comment.

What an idiot!

It's not so much that Kiana wasn't sleepy from the sound of the people around her making up lessons, but rather that this idiot was afraid to be sleepy...

Perhaps she was afraid of falling asleep and becoming the cold and ruthless Herrscher of the Void.

Or perhaps she was afraid of waking up and becoming the lonely self of the future.

"I think the correct answer is D."

Following her thoughts, Fu Hua gave her own answer after everyone's surprised stares.

And once she said this, based on the previous situation, the correct answer was undoubtedly another one.

Einstein raised her eyebrows. She actually wanted to borrow Fu Hua's incredible luck, but considering Fu Hua seemed somewhat resistant to the idea, and her character wasn't suited for a move like this, she hesitated.

But she didn't expect Fu Hua to offer her opinion herself.

Under the gazes of the crowd, Fu Hua remained calm.

"I really don't like this aspect."

She paused.

"But if my misfortune can become your fortune, then—"

Under her master's gaze, the usually reserved Fu Hua smiled a rare smile.

"I'm honored."
