I was trembling now, and then Cassian opened his eyes.
Cassian's golden eyes swept across the hall. The nobles, royals, and politicians looked utterly terrified. Faces had gone deathly pale, and some were trembling so badly that their hands shook uncontrollably. A noblewoman dropped her fan, while another clutched her husband's arm with wide, frightened eyes. Several politicians had already backed away, staring at Cassian as if they were looking at a monster from a nightmare.
Cassian' eyes narrowed and he growls then he looks at Sera who was still and frozen.
"Then his large hand, now covered in thick wolf fur, shot out to grab Sera's neck, he had lost his control.
"Sera—!" I shouted as I grabbed her hand and pulled her towards me.
Thank god, it wasn't that much late, and Sera had dodged the attack as I had pulled her towards me.
People started screaming and shouting. The royal guards were now pointing their swords at Cassian.
"Eirlys, take Sera and go!" Lorenzo commanded.
"B-But brother-!" I said but Lorenzo shot me a glare as he pulled his sword out.
I looked at Cassian, tears streaming down my eyes... how our wedding became a disaster. How he supported me. I grabbed Sera who was in shock, pure frozen.
"Sera! Come!" I shouted as I dragged her towards the door of the great hall, which was difficult in our dresses.
The royals, politicians, and nobles were now escaping, some pushed others aside and some didn't help others. I was now moving towards the exit.
The royal guards were now pointing there swords at Cassian who was losing his control as he lunged at a guard and tore him apart.
One of the guards slashed across Cassian's back, Cassian yelped as he lunged at the guard and tore his body into pieces. The guard's screams echoed in the hall.
"Cassian!! Come to your senses!!" Lorenzo shouted as the other remaining guards took rope and drop the rope on Cassian's large body. The guards grip and Lorenzo' grip tightened on the rope and Cassian grunted in pain, his back bleeding.
"No...." I whispered as Sera and I stopped dead in our tracks, as Sera looked at her brother and I looked at my new wed husband in pain, my heart ached looking at him.
"Sera, stay here for a second," I said as I left her beside the exit door of the great hall.
I took a step towards Cassian hesitantly, then took another and another.
"Eir! What are you doing?! Go back! He has lost his control!" Lorenzo screamed at me as he and the guards were struggling to keep Cassian in one place.
"I know! Brother, I know!" I shouted back, as I was now near Cassian, "Just.. let me talk to him for a moment, he might- he might come back to his senses, please just don't let the grip on the rope go..." I added as tears filled my eyes again.
Lorenzo looked at me like I had lost my mind, and was asking if I can kill myself. But then after a moment he said, "Fine. But make it quick, and don't get too close."
I walked a bit closer to Cassian, I put a hand on his hand hesitantly, "H-Hey... Cass... Look at me.." I said.
Hearing my voice, Cassian's head, which was a wolf's, snapped towards me.
"Cass, Look at me, dear... don't lose yourself.. It's me.. Eirlys, your lady... Come back.." I said as I used my hypnotic vampire powers.
Cassian eyes narrowed at me, he growled and tried to lunge at me, I flinched but I didn't step back. He looked at me for a long time then as he was going to be normal again, A wall broke, and the chandelier fell on top of Cassian and we all fell on the floor, I heard Sera scream our names.
After a moment, I tried to stand up but then I saw a figure, the atmosphere shifted. Multiple people wearing black cloaks came inside, and in the center was... the masked man.
