Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Muscle Memory

Logan finished his breakfast. The toast was golden brown and perfectly crisp—simple, but executed with precision. He licked the crumbs off his fingers and looked at the orange-haired woman sitting across from him.

She was the supreme authority of Tracen Academy: Chairwoman Yayoi Akikawa.

If Symboli Rudolf was the "Emperor" who ruled over the students, Yayoi was the "Goddess" who ruled over the Emperor.

And right now, this supreme ruler was acting like a petulant child, resting her chin on her hands, bobbing her head side to side while staring intently at him.

By all corporate logic, she was his boss.

But looking at her, Logan couldn't summon an ounce of professional deference.

In the Glitch World, he viewed her purely as a convenience. Need money? Call her. Need a problem solved? Call her. But now, seeing her in the flesh, he sensed the mature woman hidden beneath that youthful, doll-like exterior.

Since he sat down, Yayoi had been playing footsie with him under the table. She had kicked off her shoes and was running her soft, stockinged toes up and down his calf in a slow, rhythmic motion.

"Don't forget your milk."

She pushed the glass toward him. Her foot didn't stop moving.

Logan couldn't tell if this was a deliberate seduction attempt or just... instinct.

In the Glitch World, Logan's favorite pastime was playing with Yayoi's feet. They were small, tender, and smelled faintly of primroses. If he held them long enough, or if he pulled her onto his lap, she would kick off her shoes automatically.

It was conditioning.

Just like Pavlov's dogs. In the Glitch World, repetitive actions created behavioral loops. If he reached out to Teio, she would lean her cheek into his palm. If he sat next to Manhattan Cafe, she would lay her head on his lap.

Their bodies remembered.

Horse Girls grew and adapted. Over two months, he watched Teio push rocks further and run faster. Her stamina increased. Her vocal range improved.

If they could adapt physically, they could adapt behaviorally. He had trained them to be intimate with him.

"I'm done." Logan downed the milk in one gulp and stood up.

"You're already late, so don't rush. Walk with dignity!"

I wish my old school teachers had that attitude.

But he could never go back there.

Like Teio, the Chairwoman's affection for him was dangerously high. What boss breaks into an employee's dorm to cook breakfast? In the real world, bosses express care by not firing you.

His strategy of maxing out her affection in the game was paying dividends. In office politics, the most important asset is your relationship with the CEO. If they like you, you can get away with murder.

At this rate, getting fired was impossible. Getting promoted—perhaps to "Chairwoman's Husband"—seemed more likely.

Promoted... Logan almost laughed. Who knew how long this dream would last?

Might as well enjoy playing with the boss while I can.

"Logan!" Yayoi cupped his face in her small hands. "Cheer up! Bring your full energy to work! Understand?"

Her voice was firm, echoing with authority.

"Yes, Ma'am."

Instead of worrying about when the clock would strike midnight, he should focus on the now. Make the process enjoyable, regardless of the ending.

"I'm off."

Logan left the room.

Yayoi watched his retreating back until the door clicked shut. Then, she slowly clenched her hands into fists and hugged them to her chest.

So good.

She didn't know when it started, but this man had a magnetic pull on her. Seeing him made her want to sit on his lap. She wanted his hands on her.

Whenever she got close to him, her body itched. A phantom sensation, like fingers tracing the soles of her feet, sending shivers straight to her heart.

She was an adult woman. She had needs. She wanted to experience things.

Confirming he was gone, Yayoi dove onto his bed. She buried her face in his pillow, inhaling deeply. It was saturated with his scent—a thick, masculine musk.

So good!

Hidden under her skirt, her tail vibrated violently. A look of pure intoxication washed over her face. It was her first time in his room, yet everything felt intensely familiar. The smell of the sheets triggered a deep, primal memory of pleasure.

She squeezed her legs together, trapping the duvet between her thighs.

Rustle... Rustle...

The sound of friction filled the quiet room.

Thirty minutes later, a flushed Yayoi stripped the soaked sheets off the bed and stuffed them into the washing machine.

I hope Logan doesn't notice I did laundry.

Back in the office, Logan flipped through the Trainer's Manual.

In the other world, he had memorized the mechanics. But without the UI showing stamina bars and stat gains, he felt like he was flying blind.

He missed the System. It made life simple.

Now, he had to rely on memory and instinct to adjust Teio's regimen. He was learning on the fly.

After tweaking the schedule, Logan prepared to leave. His target: Seiun Sky.

Given their high affection, she probably wouldn't refuse a contract offer.

Just then, the door creaked open. A flash of green drifted in.

"Yaho~ Trainer."

Speak of the devil.

She delivered herself right to his doorstep.

"Morning classes were boring and tiring. I need a recharge. Borrowing your sofa, Trainer." Seiun Sky flopped onto the couch without waiting for permission.

"Skipping class to sleep? How do you live with yourself? When I was your age... actually, when I was your age, I was slacking off too. Is this just universal human nature?"

"Hehe... Trainer finally gets it. Humans hate trouble. Sei-chan hates trouble. Therefore, Sei-chan is human."

"Brilliant deduction, Slacker Genius. I could have lived a hundred years and not reached that level of enlightenment."

"You have much to learn, Trainer." She swished her tail lazily, watching him from her prone position. "Trainer, are you busy working?"

"Mmh."

"Interested in joining Sei-chan to contemplate the meaning of life?"

Logan didn't beat around the bush. He walked over and lay down on the narrow sofa, squeezing himself into the space beside her.

"Wait... Trainer?"

Sky's eyes went wide. She was just teasing. She didn't expect him to actually call her bluff!

His broad chest pressed against her arm. His face was inches from hers. She could feel the heat radiating from him, hear the strong, steady thump of his heart.

Blood rushed to her face. Her own heart began to hammer in response.

"Sky."

"Y-Yes?" She gulped, panic and excitement warring in her chest.

So close. What is he doing? Is he going to do it!?

Here? Now?

I mean... I guess it's okay.

She squeezed her eyes shut, her eyelashes fluttering as she waited for him to make his move.

"Sign a contract with me."

Sky, who had fully prepared herself to be ravished, opened one eye. She tilted her head, confusion overriding her arousal.

Eh?
