Chapter 1 - The End That Wasn’t an End

"Hey, bastard. How dare you try to talk to me again?"

Her voice was sharp—full of disgust.

"Don't you remember anything? I don't care about you or your so-called marriage talk. Just hearing your voice makes me sick."

Her words spread like poison.

People around them slowly began whispering."They're right," someone said.

"He's a complete scumbag."

"What he does inside the academy is beyond imagination."

"No matter how powerful his family is, he deserves severe punishment for messing with princesses."The murmurs grew louder.

Insults flew everywhere—on screens, on TV displays, in public chatter.

Such stupidity… I thought bitterly.I liked games. No—actually, I loved them.

That didn't mean I hated reality, but this particular game was one of my favorites. It had countless characters.

Each with their own story.

A world filled with love, battles, magic.

A place where you could become anyone you wanted.Yet, the most painful story in that game was always the same to me—

the minor villain.A character whose life was destroyed for reasons never fully explained.

A character destined to die quietly, forgotten.Still… his life wasn't worse than mine.

I knew it.

My time was short.

I knew I was going to die.

And yet, I had done nothing.

I had achieved nothing.

The person I loved was gone.

My life had passed without meaning.

Someone once asked me what my wish was.

If I had to answer honestly—

"I want to live a life like my favorite game.

A world of magic.

A sword master's path.

Another world."

But that was just fantasy.

If gods truly existed…

would they ever grant such a wish?

As those thoughts crossed my mind, a sharp pain pierced my chest.

I couldn't stand properly.

My legs gave way.

I tried to reach for medicine—

then remembered it was in my room, on my bed.

Is this the end of my story?

I had done nothing worth remembering.

As darkness closed in, I whispered in my heart—

"If there is a god…

Please… let me be born in another world."

My eyes shut.

"Hey. Bastard."

"Hey! Bastard! Are you listening to me?"

I slowly opened my eyes.

Standing before me was a beautiful girl

Blue eyes.

Blue hair.

An aura unlike anyone else's.

Yet her gaze was filled with pure hatred.

I couldn't understand anything.

"Where… am I?" I asked instinctively.

Her expression darkened.

"Don't you ever act like that again," she snapped.

"And don't follow me. If you do… you'll regret it."I tried to speak again—

Suddenly, a sharp pain exploded in my head.

I grabbed it with both hands.

Memories flooded in.Not mine.

No—his.

Everything became clear.

Where I was.

Whose body this was.

Fear crept into my heart.Because this body belonged to someone doomed.

A villain.

A character destined to die one day.Seeing my strange behavior, the girl frowned.

"What are you pretending now?" she asked.

I tried to answer—

Then suddenly, a yellow screen appeared before my eyes.SYSTEM NOTICE

I froze.

Another window appeared.
