Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Reze's Finger Missiles

Half an hour later, Harlem.

The night here had already been lit up by the flames of war.

General Ross's proud troops were as fragile as paper toys under the rampage of the two monsters.

Hulk (bottom) and Abomination (top), truly a pair of ill-fated lovers... The streets were littered with the burning wreckage of vehicles, the piercing sound of alarms mixing with the screams of people.

Amidst this hellish chaos, Reze pulled her black hoodie back on and walked slowly toward the center of the battlefield, moving against the flow of fleeing refugees.

She walked slowly, her left hand in her pocket, while the long index finger of her right hand was already raised, hooking onto the pull ring of her neck collar.

With just a gentle pull, a magnificent flower of death would bloom here.

"Hey! You over there! Stop!"

A U.S. soldier, his face covered in dust and assisting with the evacuation, spotted her.

Seeing such a frail young girl walking toward the center of the crossfire as if she had lost her soul, the soldier's sense of justice instantly flared up.

Ignoring the flying debris overhead, he crouched and rushed out from behind cover.

"There are two monsters fighting over there! What are you doing? Do you want to die?!"

The soldier roared, anxiously reaching out and grabbing the wrist of Reze's raised right hand.

"Huh?"

Reze was stunned.

Far away in the apartment, Su Modie also gasped—the soldier was grabbing the hand Reze was using to pull the ring.

That tug almost helped Reze pull the ring open directly.

Just one more millimeter... Boom!

This well-meaning soldier would have been blown to ashes face-to-face during his 'heroic rescue.'

"You're a bit too enthusiastic..." Reze looked helplessly at this reckless fellow.

"Stop talking! Run! The monsters are coming!"

The soldier had no idea he was repeatedly jumping back and forth at death's door, still desperately pulling on her wrist.

It was lucky Reze was strong and her arm was steady as a rock, otherwise... She sighed, a flash of impatience crossing her eyes.

In the next second, the girl's right leg suddenly kicked up, the movement as swift as a black whip shadow.

Bang!

The kick landed solidly on the soldier's bulletproof vest.

「villainess value +8」

What looked like a kick from a frail girl caused the 1.9-meter-tall soldier's chest to tighten, sending him flying four or five meters back. He landed on his butt on the glass-strewn ground, gasping for air in pain.

"Cough, cough... Wh-what..."

The soldier clutched his chest in pain, looking at the frail back in disbelief.

Finally rid of the burden, Reze didn't look back. Instead, she lowered her stance and charged toward the center where the two monsters were rampaging... Meanwhile, inside the armed helicopter.

"A bunch of useless trash! Fire suppression!"

General Ross roared madly into the walkie-talkie, his heart racing at the destructive power shown by Abomination and Hulk.

Just then, a Communications Officer suddenly shouted in terror:

"General! A civilian has entered the core engagement zone! Right on the flank of Hulk and Abomination!"

"What?!"

General Ross jerked his head out of the cabin.

Not far away, a girl in a black hoodie was sprinting toward the two destruction-level monsters like a reckless lunatic.

General Ross's face turned livid with rage: "What is the blockade doing?! How could they let an underage girl run in there? Is she delivering a package?! Or does she think Abomination hasn't stomped enough people to death?!"

In his eyes, this ignorant girl would be turned into a pile of meat paste in the next second... S.H.I.E.L.D. Command Center.

Unlike the chaos of the Military, it was deathly silent here.

The giant main screen had already locked onto Reze's figure.

"Officer, the target bomb demon has entered the Level 1 combat zone."

Agent Hill spoke rapidly, "Natasha is at a high point nearby. Should we have her intercept? There's still a chance."

"No."

Nick Fury crossed his arms, his one eye fixed on the running girl on the screen, his tone deep: "Let her go."

"But Officer, her behavior is completely unpredictable..."

"It's precisely because it's unpredictable." Fury interrupted Agent Hill, his fingers tapping rhythmically on his arm. "She was just extorting Stark, and today she was chatting with Romanoff in a convenience store like old friends one moment, then jumping into this meat grinder the next."

Fury's gaze was as deep as a black hole, as if he wanted to see through the girl's essence via the screen:

"An enemy who possesses devastating power but acts with completely chaotic logic and inscrutable motives is the most terrifying kind."

"I want to see if she's here to put out the fire..."

"Or to make this fire burn even brighter."

...On the devastated street.

Reze didn't know how many eyes were watching her at this moment.

Well, actually she did, but she didn't care.

The girl took a short run-up and nimbly stepped onto the wreckage of a flipped bus, leaping high like a black swift.

Her body stretched in mid-air, framed perfectly against the giant full moon and the burning street behind her.

This time, no one could disturb her.

Under General Ross's astonished gaze, Fury's scrutinizing eyes, and the dumbfounded expression of the soldier sitting on the ground.

Suspended in mid-air, the girl gracefully raised her right hand, her slender index finger hooking the pull ring at her neck once more.

The corners of Reze's mouth curled up, her red lips parting slightly:

"Boom!"

"Click."

The crisp sound of metal clashing was surprisingly clear amidst the noisy battlefield.

The next instant—

BOOM!!!

A violent explosion of light and flame erupted in mid-air, centered on the girl's neck!

The massive Impact instantly blew away the surrounding smoke, and even the glass shards on the ground hummed from the vibration.

As the fire faded, the frail girl had disappeared.

In her place was a pitch-black body filled with the aesthetics of violence.

Where the head should have been, there was now a hideous black bomb head!

The demon-like serrated teeth parted slightly, exhaling hot white steam with every breath.

Sizzle—

At this moment, time seemed to freeze.

General Ross's mouth hung open wide enough to fit a lightbulb: "What... what kind of monster is this now?!"

Abomination was already giving him a headache, then Hulk popped up.

Having those two big idiots already had him fuming with rage, and now another one?

Did he stumble into a goddamn nest of monsters?

Inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. command center, the sound of Agents gasping for air rose one after another.

Fury looked at the black figure on the screen, his one eye full of scrutiny.

"Officer, she's approaching Abomination." Agent Hill's voice was tense. "Is she here to help Hulk? Or..."

At the same time, on the other side of the battlefield.

The Adjutant beside General Ross pointed at the sky in terror.

General Ross jerked his head up.

Reze suddenly used an explosion from her soles to propel herself high, crashing down with a piercing whistle less than five meters away from Hulk and Abomination.

Boom!

A lamppost was instantly bent by the Impact.

The humanoid creature with slender female limbs but a hideous bomb for a head was perched like a black monstrous bird atop the twisted lamppost.

Like a monstrous bird

The powerful airflow and the sonic booms from the center of the battlefield made her Gunpowder Apron flutter wildly.

Reze tilted her cold, metallic bomb head.

Below, the two behemoths were locked in a fierce struggle.

Hulk was mounted on Abomination, pounding him madly, while Abomination used his elbows to strike Hulk's temples, each blow accompanied by the dull thud of bone on bone.

Even though Reze's entrance wasn't quiet, in the face of this brawl that could cause minor earthquakes, the two blood-crazed monsters had no time to notice this sudden little fly.

"So noisy."

Reze chuckled. Although her bomb head showed no expression, her casual nonchalance was palpable.

"Might as well say hello."

Under the horrified gazes of General Ross and countless soldiers, Reze suddenly spread her arms.

Her palms, covered in black fuses, aimed at the two giants below.

The next second, a scalp-tingling scene occurred..

Reze's ten slender fingers actually snapped off at the base!

No, not snapped off.

Like the separation of multi-stage Rockets, the base of her pitch-black fingers spat out dazzling tongues of fire, whistling out like miniature cruise missiles!

"Go."

Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh!!!
