Synopsis
In a world forsaken by the Great Races, where thousands of abyssal demons and abominations roam freely every day, survival is never certain. Amid this chaos, a young boy knelt before his dying parents. With her fading breath, his mother whispered, “Look around you… We are weak, and for us death is the only path. Those nobles live safely in their mansions while using us as their fortress and shield against these abyssal abominations. So promise me… that you will become so powerful that both the nobles and these demons will tremble in fear just by hearing your name.” Thus began the journey of Aether Duskbane — a path through countless abyssal lands, battles drenched in blood and despair, and a destiny that would one day lead him to wage war even against the heavens themselves.

Chapter 1 - The Fall of Athallint

A few million years ago, in a vast universe, in unknown space above a planet, a man was standing in space, drenched in blood and wounded all over his body, surrounded by five huge light beings with wings coming from their backs.

Why?

Tell me why?

Why would you betray me? My people and I have been fighting those abyssal abominations on your leader's orders for a thousand years.

As he said that, he swung his sword, which was held by his only remaining hand. With a single swing, a brilliant light emerged from his sword, as if it could cut through the heavens. But when that brilliant light touched the light beings, only a small ripple appeared on their clothes. Even an attack that could cut through thousands of abyssal demons and abominations did nothing to these beings.

After hearing that, one of the light beings said,

Stand down, Keal Duskbane.

For you and your people, for serving us Celestials, we will grant you and your people a painless death.

"Hahahaha… painless?" he laughed madly.

"You're saying painless to someone who has cut through hundreds of thousands of abyssal hordes, fought for days and nights, and lived to tell the tale?"

As Keal Duskbane spoke, continuous mad laughter came from his mouth.

"Well, I know why you're doing this — because you're afraid that someone outside the Nine Great Races will ascend to that stage."

As the angelic light beings heard that, frowns began to form on their faces.

"We have heard enough.

This time, you will die."

As they said that, a huge battle erupted.

A few hours later

Keal Duskbane was kneeling on one leg, supported by his sword. Five swords were sticking out of his chest.

On his last breath, he looked back at his planet, Athallint, and said,

"I'm sorry that I'm not able to protect my people."

As he looked back at his planet, a sword cut through his neck and his divine core.

After finishing him, the five angelic light beings looked at his planet, Athallint. One of them lifted his finger, and from it a thick beam of light was released. It struck the surface of Athallint, broke through the planet's crust, and reached its core.

As countless people saw the light beam coming from space, the people of the planet began to run, trying to find places to hide. Parents threw themselves over their children, trying to shield their partners and families. With a loud bang, cries spread across the planet. Millions died in that single attack. Debris and rubble scattered across the surface and into space. The planet began to shake.

"It should be enough," one of the light-covered beings said.

"The planet has fallen from divine rank to mortal rank."

The angelic being covered the planet with his energy and tore a hole in space, pushing the planet into it. With a laugh, he said,

"Let's send them into the heart of their enemy's space — the ones they've been fighting for years."

When the planet emerged on the other side of space, countless abyssal lands surrounded it.
