Chapter 3 - Chapter 1: The beginning and first day in the academy

"Continue pushing!" the doctor said, and with one final push from the woman, the baby was gently placed in the doctor's hands.

"It's a boy..."

"C-can I hold him?" the mother asked, panting and exhausted.

"I'm sorry, but we need to make sure he's healthy first..."

"O-okay..." the mother said softly, her eyelids drooping as exhaustion took over. After a short while, the baby was confirmed healthy and brought back to his mother, who was woken by a nurse.

"Oh, my sweet baby..." the mother whispered, tears in her eyes as she saw him open his tiny eyes. "Welcome to the world... my name's Rukia, and your name is Y/N." The baby let out a soft laugh, and Rukia's smile widened.

*Timeskip to when they got home*

'Hah... she left. Good. I gotta explore this house and maybe find a library... gotta increase my knowledge about this world in case I have forgot something,' Y/N thought to himself as he began wandering around the house.

The house was simple yet elegant, clearly Japanese in style, neat, and well-maintained.

After searching for a bit, Y/N discovered a small library tucked into a corner. Crawling along the floor, he saw shelves full of books and scrolls-likely containing information on Uchiha jutsu and clan history. He didn't open any just yet; he knew he couldn't reach most of them. He decided to wait until he was older to read freely.

After a while of wandering, Y/N memorized every section of the house. Just as he was about to continue exploring, his mother returned with baby clothes and food. She settled the items down and approached him with a gentle smile.

"Hello, my sweet baby... How are you doing?" Rukia asked softly. Y/N let out a small laugh in response.

"Well, I bought you some clothes... let's see which one looks best on you," Rukia said, though a strange glint appeared in her eyes.

Seeing the glint, Y/N froze. 'Damn it... even women in this world are like my world's...' he thought. And he wasn't wrong. That night would be long and tiring...

*Timeskip six years later*

'It's been six years... My mother, Rukia, has been raising me alone. My father... he was killed on an A-rank mission. He was a Jonin... at least he died fighting,' Y/N thought, flipping through a book focused on yin release. 'Heh, I can't master my cursed energy yet, but G didn't say I couldn't understand it. And you might want to know why yin...and for that, you got to know.... what exactly is chakra?'

Y/N grabbed another book titled "Chakra and Its Nature" and flipped to a page. 'Chakra is a combination of yin and yang release. Yang is based on physical energy, tied to life force, vitality, and the body. Yin release is based on spiritual energy, connected to the mind, imagination, and form.

And what's Cursed energy? It's a form of energy born from negative emotions. It's determined by birth and can't be increased, only controlled. And since it's made of negative emotions, then it's a type of spiritual energy, thus if I unlock the Sharingan, I can use genjutsu and also be immune to it. Why? Well, Genjutsu takes yin energy to work, but it needs to manipulate the target's chakra network in their brain for it to work on others, and since my chakra will disappear, I'll be immune.

Oh! And I've trained in taijutsu. I'd say I'm about half or lower of what Rock Lee was during the Chunin exams. Cool, right?'

"Y/N... Y/N? Y/N!" his mother called, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Uh, sorry mom... I was just thinking," Y/N said, scratching his head with a small smile.

"Geez... you always do that. You take after your father, after all," Rukia said, smiling warmly.

"Yeah, yeah... I guess I do," Y/N replied.

"Come on, we need to go to the academy," Rukia reminded him.

"Oh... that's today? I completely forgot," Y/N said, quickly getting up.

"You always forget," Rukia said, smiling as they left the house and walked toward the Uchiha district gates.

"Yeah, yeah," Y/N muttered.

After a short walk, they arrived at the academy. As they entered, people's eyes turned toward them; being Uchiha meant they naturally drew attention.

*Timeskip after Rukia spoke with the principal and secured Y/N's class assignment*

Y/N was already seated in his class, under Iruka-sensei. It was the same classroom where Sasuke, Naruto, and the others were.

Students began filing in. Y/N saw familiar faces: Shikamaru with his calm, lazy but sharp gaze, Choji smiling quietly with a relaxed demeanor, Ino with her confident swagger, Sakura calmly observing everyone, and Naruto bursting in with his usual boundless energy.

When Sasuke entered, the girls immediately swooned, pushing to get closer to him. Sasuke glanced at Y/N-the only other Uchiha present-and calmly walked toward him, sitting next to him.

Y/N blinked, saying nothing. Sasuke smiled and decided to speak first.

"Hello, my name's Sasuke Uchiha. What's yours?"

'Wow... the difference in him before and after the massacre is huge...' Y/N thought. "Hi, my name's Y/N Uchiha. Nice to meet you, Sasuke," he said with a smile. The girls screamed in excitement, much to both boys' amusement.

Suddenly, a tanned man with a scar on his nose entered and addressed the class. "Alright, everyone, settle down!"

Immediately, all students sat.

"I'm Iruka Umino, your sensei," he began. "I hope we all behave properly. Now, please stand up in order and introduce yourselves. Tell us something about yourselves like your likes, dislikes, and your dreams."

One by one, the students introduced themselves. Afterward, Iruka said they would go to the training grounds to evaluate their skills.

"Who wants to go first? ...No one? Alright, I'll choose..."

After several matches, Sasuke and Naruto were selected to fight, battling as in canon, with Naruto swearing to surpass Sasuke. Then...

"For the final match, Y/N Uchiha versus Sasuke Uchiha!" Iruka announced. Gasps filled the arena-it was rare and thrilling to see two prodigies, both Uchiha, face off.

Y/N sighed but stepped forward. On the other side, Sasuke prepared.

"Remember the rules: you win by making the other step out of the ring using only taijutsu," Iruka reminded them.

"Alright... go!"

Sasuke lunged first. Y/N let him strike, sidestepping a punch and dodging a follow-up kick. Sasuke launched a flurry of attacks, all avoided or blocked by Y/N.

"Stop dodging!" Sasuke gritted his teeth.

Y/N sighed. As Sasuke threw a punch, Y/N caught his arm and flipped him over his shoulder, knocking the wind out of him.

"Ack!" Sasuke struggled, but before he could recover, Iruka shouted the match ended because Sasuke had stepped out of bounds.

Y/N extended a hand. "Good match. You're a strong opponent," he said, smiling.

Sasuke grabbed Y/N's arm, standing. "Thanks... you too," he replied with a smile.

"That's all for today. The first day was just to evaluate your skills. You can go home now," Iruka announced.

The students dispersed. Y/N and Sasuke walked back to the Uchiha district together.

"How are you this strong?" Sasuke asked.

"Hm? I've just trained whenever I could since I was four," Y/N replied.

"Four?! Woah... that's impressive!" Sasuke said in awe.

"Thanks. You weren't half bad yourself," Y/N said with a smile.

"Thanks!" Sasuke replied. They soon approached the gates of the Uchiha district.

"Though... I noticed you get laughed at every time you're here. Why's that?" Sasuke asked.

"Uh... I have relatively low chakra, so I can't use most jutsus," Y/N admitted, scratching the back of his head sheepishly.

"Oh... well, your taijutsu is excellent, so that makes up for it, right?"

"Guess so," Y/N replied. They parted ways at their homes. Y/N told his mother about his first day before heading to bed, ready for tomorrow.
