Chapter 1 - CHAPTER-01: THE WAR

Long ago in a non- descript kingdom of Japan. A genocide took place. For a few drops of water, streams of blood flowed. Hundreds of people were slaughtered by the nemesis kingdom. Hence, a war broke out between the two provinces. One fought for unity, the other out of jealousy. Nobody knew that the genocide which took place over the ownership of a river that ran between the two territories would result in a decades long war. The kingdom that perpetrated the genocide, claimed that the river belonged to them but the victimized kingdom opposed the ideas of the nemesis kingdom and declared the river a shared dominion. This marked the beginning of the histories most vicious war. This caused nothing but struggle to people of both the nations. Countless farmlands were burnt down, which caused famines. People became homeless as a group of armoured monsters, whom they called soldiers, burnt down their home to ashes. Women became widows and children became orphans.

To end this suffering a young skillfull warrior stepped forward. Each swing and thrust of his blade looked as if a golden lance speared heavens. He was perceived to have the sun god's countenance shining upon him. With a flick of his wrist, empires bowed and armies shattered, such was the thunder residing within him. The people of both the nations named him 'Kanetaro' after the legend of 'Kintaro'.

Kanetaro was an orphan, who was raised by none but the mother nature herself. He joined the fighting force, of the victimized nation, at the age of sixteen. After a few weeks of training he became the emperor's most trustworthy warrior. His comrades and the Army General praised him for his robust strength.

He became the leader of the cavalry.

Now it was time for the final clash between the two nations, as long years of war drained the resources of both the nations. The foe's army looked immensely large infront of Kanetaro's army. Both the forces marched forward, which made the earth tremble and the screams of the soldiers rented the air, each soldiers who came in contact with the cavalry was beheaded by Kanetaro's blade. Kanetaro turned the tables in the war, as he slayed every soldier of the nemesis army with no loss of his nation's soldiers.

Some ambushed archers were shooting arrows with a deadly poison on its tip. Kanetaro paced his horse and marched towards the enemy general. He shot to his feet on the running horse, unleashing the blade of his katana. As the distance between the general and Kanetaro shortened, he jumped off the running horse, wrapping his arm around his neck with the hilt if katana held tightly in his hands, he launched an unexpected and fatal blow aiming at the generals neck in mid air.

This sudden attack made the general fall backward. He got shot by the poisoned arrow aimed for Kanetaro's general, as he came in alignment with the arrows target. But how did Kanetaro fall? It was a poisioned arrow that pierced through Kanetaro's neck and made him collapse. At the end Kanetaro's nation won the decades long war and expanded its territory.

The nation lived in peace and harmony ever after. A statue of Kanetaro was built in his memory with a message engraved on it ' The Golden Warrior with the Sun's grace who united the nation with his force - Kanetaro".
