"If I can't get out of here, how will I get back? King Phillipe must be looking for me." Laura paced back and forth, thinking about what to do next. She then tried knocking on the door of the room. In her heart, she wanted to cry at that moment.
Soon after, a female servant opened the door.
"Can I help you, miss? I-I mean, can I help you, Luna?" The servant looked away when she saw the mark Andreas had left on Laura's neck, before finally lowering her head.
Laura was startled by the servant's words. The marking bite made by Alpha Andreas still caused a slight pain, as well as a burning sensation throughout her body. What kind of mark had Andreas left on her neck? Did that mean she could no longer regain her freedom? Laura had to find a way to break their bond immediately, other than Andreas rejecting her, because that was something impossible for him to do.
"I want to leave. By the way, where is Alpha Andreas?" Could she remain normal when she didn't want to be part of the werewolves? But Laura had no choice but to pretend.
"Alpha Andreas is outside the pack, Luna."
"Where exactly?"
Although she looked hesitant, the maid then said, "The Alpha is heading to the Holy Mountain, Luna."
"The Holy Mountain? Isn't that the place of the Immortal ancestors? What does he want to do there?"
"The Alpha wants to break the Immortal rule himself, Luna. So that you two can be together on the day of your declaration," said the maid, then she bowed her head respectfully.
Is Andreas looking to die? That was what was on Laura's mind right now. After all, Andreas would not be able to defeat the ancestors, even to ask for an exception to the Immortal rules regarding their relationship. Unless, unless one thing happened, namely that one of them died.
What Alpha Andreas was doing was very dangerous. Laura couldn't imagine how that man would have to fight the Immortal ancestors alone.
Laura then said to the female servant, "Please take me to the library and the magical plants in this palace."
The female servant nodded her head. "Yes, this way, Luna."

A man wearing a black robe walked along a path covered in snow. That man was Andreas. He had only one goal: he wanted to change the Immortal law. Marriage between two completely different races had never happened before. But even so, Andreas would remain determined to maintain his bond with Laura. To Andreas, Laura was the only person in the world he wanted to protect the most. No matter how different their backgrounds were, Andreas would remain steadfast in his resolve. If the Immortal law existed because of his stance, then let Andreas change that law.
The longer he walked, the closer Andreas got to the Sacred Mountain. At the foot of the mountain, Andreas would meet the person who had been the guardian of balance in the immortal world—Feng.
Andreas' steps halted when he saw a cave that was completely devoid of cold air. Its condition was lush and not cold due to snow.
"Ancestor Immortal Feng, I, Alpha Andreas, have come to visit you."
Andreas spoke as his gaze swept across the cave. Not long after, a thunderous voice suddenly echoed from within the cave.
"Your visit is denied, Alpha. You cannot marry the Witch, who is of a different race."
Alpha's brow furrowed. He knew this would happen. But how could this be, when they hadn't even spoken yet? "I have already marked her. She is now my Luna, and it is only a matter of time before I declare our relationship to all my people. The Moon Goddess chose this destiny, so why are you opposing our relationship?"
A sudden laugh echoed from inside the cave. Alpha Andreas clenched his jaw, his hands balled into fists.
"Do you believe in your illusion, Alpha? Indirectly, Miss Grace is the one who has the scent you desire in a mate. If you have forgotten, your mate is already dead, Alpha."
"What are you talking about? Don't make me want to flatten this place," said Andreas.
Soon after, an old man emerged from the cave with an ancient wooden staff in his grasp. The old man's beard was long and white. He did not have a single strand of hair.
"Alpha Andreas, do you believe that Miss Grace is your mate? Some creatures have an aroma that can follow the aroma of other races, and that ability is only possessed by the witch race. The forced bond you formed with Miss Grace will ultimately backfire on your Pack. And if the problem cannot be contained, damage will occur to the immortal world."
"How dare you! I don't smell the scent of any mate other than Laura Grace. And I can assure you that she is my mate." Andreas then sighed heavily. He tried to restrain himself. "You only mention damage to the immortal world, but you cannot provide a detailed explanation. Tell me, Feng, before my patience runs out... what damage will occur if I declare my mate in front of my rakyrat?"
"Your relationship will cause creatures that have been imprisoned to surface. Are you familiar with angelic creatures? When that time comes, the angels will bring your pack to the brink of destruction."
"Shut up! I don't need anyone's approval for my relationship and my power!" Andreas' jaw clenched tightly. His eyes were sharp with hatred. Andreas immediately transformed into his large white wolf—Frederick—then pounced on Feng, swiping his claws at the man. One thing kept running through his mind: kill! Kill! Kill that man until he begs for death!
Feng quickly dodged, pointing his staff at Frederick until a lightning bolt appeared and aimed at Frederick.
Frederick jumped to avoid each lightning bolt, then nimbly landed behind Feng and slashed his sharp claws into the man's back. As a result, Feng was thrown back, his clothes torn, revealing deep claw marks on his back.
The man immediately jumped and flew through the air, pointing his staff at Frederick, the red lightning immediately flying towards Frederick. Frederick managed to jump, but this time the lightning hit him. Then a golden prison appeared around Frederick, trapping his body, causing Frederick to roar in anger. His body seemed to lose its strength. But Frederick did not want this to end easily; Frederick was furious. He made the prison that trapped him tremble, and the next second, the prison shattered.
Frederick suddenly gained insight that he himself did not know where it came from, but with certainty, he avoided every flash of lightning that came his way. Then, as Frederick closed in on Feng, he emitted a yellow light that suddenly appeared from his head. The light shot out quickly and hit Feng in the chest. Feng fell to the ground, unable to dodge.
He coughed repeatedly. Frederick roared and stamped his feet on the ground. He wanted to behead the man until he died. But Feng's body died immediately. Frederick then rattled his bones, signaling his transformation into a human.
Andreas immediately checked Feng's body. The man was dead. Andreas then stood up and stared at the cave where Feng had been meditating. He then entered the cave. Inside the cave was just an ordinary cave, with a golden jug.
Without Andreas realizing it, a black shadow stood in front of the cave and stared at him with red eyes. However, by the time Andreas realized it, it was too late, as the shadow immediately attacked him. Andreas groaned in pain and struggled as almost his entire body was now covered by the shadow. Suddenly, the shadow entered his chest, right above Andreas' forehead, which had a bright symbol on it.
Andreas immediately got up. He checked his body. Apparently, his body was able to absorb the enemy's attack. But Andreas' strength seemed to be drained. His body became weak for some reason. Andreas decided to rush to his pack, his chest aching. He walked slowly, severely injured, along the path of the Holy Mountain. Then, Andreas suddenly transformed into a werewolf—Frederick took over. He had to return to his pack quickly, before something bad happened to his mate.
Frederick's long strides paid off, and he entered his territory. Then, unstoppably, Frederick's vision became blurry. A black pattern appeared on his body. Then Frederick collapsed unconscious. At that moment, the wolf turned back into a human. Andreas looked pale.
A soldier was shocked to see their Alpha lying helplessly. He then called his friend to carry their Alpha to the palace.
Inside the palace, Laura seemed restless, her chest aching for some reason. But she tried to recover with her magic. However, what shocked Laura was when she saw Andreas' body being carried to her room. Laura immediately approached her partner.
Partner? Yes, Laura began to accept that she might not be able to avoid the bond of destiny from the Moon Goddess. But Andreas was her closest friend; they had been together since they were children. With tears streaming down her face, Laura watched Andreas being treated by a doctor. The man's face was blue. She wanted to offer help, but the elders of Andreas' Alpha forbade her.
Laura kept repeating encouraging words to keep Andreas going. She held the man's hand. Then, without realizing it, Laura's tears fell onto Andreas's large hand. The next moment, a miracle happened. Andreas's eyes slowly opened, and his gaze first fell on the person he loved.
In a soft, hoarse voice, Andreas called out his mate's name. "Laura...."
