It took time before it finally registered to Ezekiel his surroundings. He was standing outside of their van. Kyla was at the driver's seat, waiting for him to get on. The others were also waiting for him.


Clyde, in particular is staring at him with questioning eyes.


When their eyes met, Ezekiel's heart throb. He suddenly felt relieved seeing him. And he doesn't know why.


"Nothing," He murmured. He looked away and jumped inside the car. He couldn't find out why he felt relieved seeing Clyde.


As Kyla drove off, Robert and Shane started to argue in low voices. Semaj and Malec closed their eyes to sleep. While Clyde is sitting at the left window seat, staring blankly at the scenery outside.
