Ascending into the same three headed form as Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon and Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon, the Chaos Neo Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon descended in front of Kaiba Chiha, roaring with a triple galactic voice.

Life Points might be the most useless resource in the entire game, but pile up enough of them, and quantity eventually turns into quality of its own.
But even with Amano Rei evolving into a boss with forty thousand Life Points, Kaiba Chiha had gone through the trouble of transforming into the Chaos form of her Prime Photon Dragon precisely because Chaos No. 62 could deal out far higher damage.

Kaiba Chiha's Equip Card granted the Attack Position Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon on Amano Rei's field full immunity to battle destruction.
The reason Amano Rei had Summoned Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon in Attack Position to begin with wasn't just confidence in its 3000 ATK, rivaling Blue-Eyes White Dragon's own. It was also because of the card's own effect.
When it battled, it could banish itself along with the opposing monster, and if that opponent happened to be an Xyz Monster, it could waste one of the opponent's own Xyz Materials to boost its own ATK in the process.
You could say Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon itself was practically built to counter exactly the kind of overpowered Galaxy-Eyes Xyz deck Kaiba Chiha was running.
But Amano Rei never expected Kaiba Chiha's very first target to be Chaos No. 107 Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon, a card he'd only ever shown her once, buried deep in his own Extra Deck.
With the tyrant of time and space's suppression effect already in play, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon could no longer banish itself to safety, and had instead become the very target Kaiba Chiha was using to push her damage output to the absolute limit.

The wording of Kaiba Chiha's declaration was clearly borrowed straight from Amano Rei's own understanding of soul cards, back during that team duel in District 32.

It looked like Kaiba Chiha had ten thousand plus ATK across three attacks, but with Amano Rei's Life Points this massive after his damage halving, purely by the numbers, Amano Rei's own Life Points still came out ahead.
The actual gap, though, wasn't nearly as large as it looked. What Kaiba Chiha was really counting on was that Continuous Spell Card she'd just laid down: Tablet of Lament.

Right now, Kaiba Chiaki was actually far more nervous than she let on, arguably even more nervous than Chiha herself.

Having taken four consecutive rounds of galactic detonation head on, Amano Rei, standing on the other side of the dueling platform, had white smoke curling off every inch of his overheated, scorched body, looking utterly wrecked.
"You very nearly killed me there, Kaiba Chiha!" Amano Rei gritted his teeth, forcing out a battered, barely-alive grin.
"So close!" Yuma slapped his own thigh in frustration.
Amano Rei's Life Points had been blasted down from a full forty thousand all the way to just 50.
Every single card Kaiba Chiha had drawn had been a Quick-Play Spell she could use to boost her own attack damage, and she'd still come up just 50 points short.
Yui, palms sweating with nerves, said, "I honestly can't tell anymore which side actually has the good luck here."
Yuma analyzed the situation. "Whoever has the luck aside, right now there's no question Kaiba Chiha holds the overwhelming advantage."
Even with 50 Life Points left uncut, Kaiba Chiha's field still had both Chaos No. 62 and Chaos No. 107, a pair of towering Xyz monsters standing tall.
And Galaxy-Eyes Afterglow Dragon's ATK doubling effect wasn't limited to a single turn, it was a permanent boost.
At full health, Kaiba Chiha's field held Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon Emperor, unaffected by monster effects and sitting at 12800 ATK, alongside Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon at 9000 ATK.
"But then again!" Yuma's tone shifted. "It's exactly in a corner like this that a duelist like Amano Rei really gets to shine! How exciting!"
Watching the afterglow of that galaxy-shredding collision still burning across the sky, Yuma couldn't help but drift into an old memory of his own. "Eden's Tower really is, in a certain sense, the ideal utopia duelists everywhere are chasing after. I wish you could see it too."

Unable to attack any further this turn, that final draw was the very last card Kaiba Chiha had left.
Looking at the card she'd just drawn to end her turn, a flash of memory shot through Kaiba Chiha's mind: that final duel between Kaiba Chiaki and Amano Rei.

Murmuring quietly to herself as she looked at the card, Kaiba Chiha set it down.
"I set one card. Turn end!"
"My turn, draw!"
White smoke still curling off his overheated body, Amano Rei drew his card to begin his turn.
"Alright then, Kaiba Chiha! Spell Card, Zombie Synchro, activate!"

Beyond their function as hand traps, the Hand Trap Six Sisters also happened to be Level 3 Tuner monsters.

Back then, restricted by the entrance exam's Synchro-only ruling, Kaiba Chiha hadn't been able to bring her full strength to bear.
Now, with a Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon Emperor breaking ten thousand ATK standing on her own field, there was no way something as small as Right Crimson Mark could pose any real threat to her.
"And do you really think I'm the same as I was back then either, Kaiba Chiha?"
Amano Rei flung another Normal Summon monster card onto the Duel Disk's monster zone.

"This feeling, could it be!" From the twin glowing Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragons on Amano Rei's field, Yuma felt a familiar cosmic light.
"Is this how it actually works, here in this world, inside Eden? The code of the key that Eva copied?"
Amano Rei thrust an arm skyward. "Now, I overlay these two identically named No. 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragons together, to build the final Xyz Network!"
The card Yuma knew from the anime had an overlay condition simple enough: two Level 1 monsters.
But here in Eden, as Eva's own copy of the No. 100, it followed the far more complicated overlay rules of the real physical card instead.
"He's overlaying two Xyz Monsters together?" On Amano Rei's field, the Xyz Network shifted from galactic light into the very first light of the universe itself, and Kaiba Chiha instinctively took a step back.

Under the leverage of a hundred-times academy point multiplier, that would be more than enough to send Amano Rei's current ranking points skyrocketing to a genuinely terrifying number.
