Yeongjae's POV
My hands shook as I ran them through my hair. "Oh my God… What if you are right? Now River's death, the arson, the stalker… What if it's all connected? Whoever wants to hurt her isn't just greedy—they're dangerous."
Jiho leaned back, eyes narrowed. "We've underestimated them. Someone is planning, moving… and River was collateral damage. He must have discovered something while he was spying on you and Sora."
I felt a chill creep down my spine. Everything I had done to keep Sora safe—the careful surveillance, the careful orchestration of the cafe's temporary moves, even hiring private investigators—was only part of a larger puzzle. And now, with River dead, the stakes had shifted even higher.
Yuri broke the silence again, voice trembling slightly but laced with resolve. "Then… we need to know everything. Every detail about the threats, the people who might want to hurt Sora, Uncle Isaac, and even River."
