Sora's POV
The café looked eerily normal when we arrived.
If not for the faint smell of burnt stuff lingering in the air and the yellow tape stretched across the entrance, no one would have guessed a fire had nearly broken out there the night before.
Yeongjae parked the car along the curb, and for a moment, none of us moved.
Micah finally let out a long breath.
"Man… seeing it again makes my stomach twist."
"Same," Yejin muttered from the back seat.
I opened the door first.
"Let's get this over with."
The police car parked outside immediately caught my attention. Two officers were standing near the entrance together with the fire chief and a man in a gray jacket who looked like he hadn't slept.
As we approached, the fire chief nodded in greeting.
"Ms. Han, thank you for coming quickly."
"Of course," I said. "You mentioned there were updates?"
The man beside him stepped forward and extended his hand.
