Chapter 33 - 33

Tundra spoke with the Supreme Kai a while longer, arranging a structured training schedule. He could not abandon his empire for extended periods — even if Shitaki was capable. Delegating responsibility entirely when he could act himself made him uncomfortable.

Shin and Kibito exchanged approving smiles when he explained this.

A responsible ruler.

A competent mortal, Kibito thought.

__

The next day, Tundra stood once more on the green planet. His duties were complete for now, and he waited calmly for the Supreme Kai.

A few minutes later, Shin and Kibito appeared behind him, Tundra turning around at the disturbance.

"Greetings, Emperor Tundra," Shin said pleasantly. "I assume you are ready?"

Tundra nodded, though he still found it strange that he could not sense them at all.

"Yes, Supreme Kai. I am ready."

Shin stepped forward and placed a hand against Tundra's thigh.

In an instant—

They were gone.

__

They reappeared somewhere entirely different.

That was new, Tundra thought.

There had been no pull on his ki. No sensation of displacement. It was teleportation — yet fundamentally different from his own.

He pushed the thought aside as he absorbed his surroundings.

The energy of this place was overwhelming.

Dense.

Layered.

Fascinating.

Shin stepped back slightly. "This is the Sacred World of Kai. Normally, no mortal — nor even most Kai — would be permitted here. But we have made an exception for you, given your noble cause."

Tundra nodded, taking a few steps away as well.

"This planet…" He pinched the air lightly between his fingers. "It is so dense with ki that it fogs my senses."

It was true. He felt the ambient energy press in on him from all directions.

Shin and Kibito exchanged startled looks.

"You… can feel the ki in the air?" Shin asked.

Sensing ambient ki was extraordinarily difficult. Even talented individuals required years to stop instinctively filtering it out.

Tundra nodded calmly. "Yes. It took only a few days to adjust. Though… that makes it more striking when I sense voids like the two of you."

To Tundra, who could sense everything, The two Kai's appeared like some sort of voids in unending light

Both Kai stared at him in open shock.

Shin cleared his throat, deciding to tell him about God Ki.

"We do not use ordinary ki. What we wield is God ki — a divine energy that cannot be sensed by those who do not possess it. It also has the ability to awaken latent potential."

Tundra considered that.

Awaken potential?

How… convenient.

"I suppose it would not be divine energy if it were ordinary," he replied evenly.

Shin nodded. "Then let us begin."

With a gesture, he conjured a colossal block of katchin — a metal considered the hardest in the universe. The cube dwarfed Tundra several times over and bore two handles on one of its sides.

When it landed, it sank slightly into the Sacred World's soil.

Despite its immeasurable weight, the planet barely yielded — a quiet testament to its durability.

Tundra leapt upward, grasped the handles, and swung the cube onto his back.

The weight was crushing.

His feet sank deep into the ground instantly.

He glanced toward the Kai. The strain was obvious — his body had never endured weight training of this magnitude.

Then he dropped forward into a push-up position.

At first, even ten repetitions felt difficult.

But he could feel it — his body adapting in real time.

With the help of the Kai's healing him, Ten became fifty.

Fifty became one hundred.

And after a hundred, he felt as though he could perform a thousand more.

He stopped at two hundred.

Rising carefully, he lifted the cube overhead and began walking. Each step forced his legs deeper into the ground. Remaining above the surface was nearly impossible.

He considered flying — but the mass would make it far too difficult.

So he continued.

Push-ups.

Carries.

Squats.

Repetitions beyond reason.

Shin and Kibito watched in stunned silence as the mortal trained with overwhelming physical intensity.

Whenever they saw his body nearing failure, they quietly healed him — allowing him to continue pushing further.

They observed his ki steadily rising.

Not gradually.

Not normally.

But at a pace that defied logic.

This will not take long, Shin thought.

__

Hours later, Tundra let the katchin cube fall. The impact echoed faintly across the Sacred World.

He had to return soon.

"I thank you both for this opportunity," he said.

He closed his eyes.

To Shin, it appeared as if he was resting.

In reality, Tundra extended his ki senses outward, memorizing the Sacred World's unique energy signature — imprinting it into memory.

Shin smiled faintly.

It would not be long now.

"Emperor Tundra, I believe it is time you return to your duties."

Tundra opened his eyes and nodded.

Shin approached, placing a hand on his shoulder.

In an instant, they stood once more upon the green planet.

Without another word, Shin teleported away — leaving Tundra alone beneath the open sky.

And stronger than he had been hours before.
