Her green eyes trailed over to Koharu, who was busy talking to her new best friend. Everything felt like a blurring sensation around her. She could no longer process any of the conversations around her. The only thing she sure did know was that she wanted to leave the table as soon as possible.
College had started only a week ago and the professors already threw four major assignments due this week. Fuyu knew she should have gone to sleep after completing a rough draft at 2 AM. Instead, she ended up reading a novel for her own desires and ended up going to bed at 4 AM. Now all she could do was sit there and regret her actions since she still had 1 more lecture after Lunch and she could barely keep her eyes open at the moment.
Fuyu looked back down at the food in front of her with a grimace, as if the food had offended her ancestors. Then she sighed, thinking if it was a good time to just.. Leave , so she reached for her mocha and stood up. Her eyes fell on Koharu , she knew she didn't even have any purpose at this table anymore. Right beside Koharu sat Xiao Pinghe, her mortal enemy, who was smirking at her. Fuyu didn't fight back, she knew he had Koharu wrapped around his fingers. Whatever, it wasn't like Fuyu cared anymore, it was two mutts who were made for each other anyways, best to not get involved. Suddenly Fuyu's grip on her cup tightened, the drink spilling over the edge slightly. It was still infuriating to continuously get reminded that Pinghe had won and stole Koharu.
Not wanting to ruin her mood further, she started to walk towards Kimiko's table, her old rival who somehow ended up being her closest friend in college. Though the peace only came after accepting that Kimiko was smarter than her, it would still be worth it. Just then Fuyu noticed the new guy next to Kimiko and stopped walking. Wasn't that the only guy who had done badly on the Chemistry Test? Was Kimiko tutoring him? No.. that doesn't seem right. Kimiko wouldn't have enough patience for teaching chemistry or maths. Was it literature then? Did the guy also fail literature?
Curious, Fuyu started to walk toward the table again and yelled out, "Kimi Kimi whose that?" Kimiko perked up and looked behind her and replied "Ah! Fuyu, this is Jiho. The new guy that transferred 2 weeks ago! Jiho, this is Fuyu, the biggest idiot you'll ever meet." A loud whack was heard and Kimiko suddenly slumped over cursing under her breath."Don't listen to her Ji." Fuyu smiled brightly and just stared. Jiho just smiled awkwardly and just nodded. He didn't seem to be creeped out by her staring either, which made Fuyu shocked.
No matter how calm Jiho looked, there were only 3 people in the world who didn't mind her staring. Her own brother, her enemy and now him. Fuyu really did want to befriend him now. "Quit staring at my friend, you freak." Kimiko suddenly chimed in making Fuyu get an idea. "Awh Kimi, can't a girl stare at a good looking man?" Fuyu teased Kimiko as she suddenly pulled out the chair beside Jiho and sat down. "Well yeah, a girl could stare at a good looking man, but the case here is you're a freak not a girl." Kimiko replied composed. "Ahh, you wounded me. That was really mean. You know what? I might just start to think you're just jealous. So jealous about the fact that you couldn't make anyone stare at you like this, not only me."
In a state of fury, Kimiko slammed her hand against the table. "AH, Just get out!!" Smiling, Fuyu stood up. "I'll be at the library" She announced and started to head off toward the library.
Once Fuyu had walked through the doors, she was hit with the fresh cold breeze of the air con. The library was mostly empty at the moment, slowly she walked over towards her usual table and pulled out her biology report from her bag and began working on it. It was always the same routine, go to college, study, eat lunch, study, go home then to work, come home, eat dinner, study and then finally sleep at around 2AM. Somedays when Fuyu didn't have work, she'd hangout with her brother and her best friend and whenever she was at college, she'd miss them.
20 minutes had passed and Fuyu suddenly felt a presence from behind her. Just thinking that it might be Pinghe she already felt annoyed. "Who is it?" She asked. "It's 'Ji', you know no one really calls me that." He replied and pulled out the chair beside her and sat down. Looking at the report he asked, "Biology I see.. Are you good at it?"
"I heard you're bad at it, is it true?" Fuyu addressed making Jiho embarrassed suddenly. Despite the embarrassment, Jiho chuckled light heartedly and nodded. "Well yeah, you probably heard that I had failed the first Biology test."
"The only person to fail the biology test, and the fact it was supposed to be the easiest test too." Fuyu stated out loud, making Jiho sigh before replying, "Yeah yeah, I get it... but answer the question, Are you good at Bio?"
"Well, I'd say I'm adequate. Would that be considered good?"
Jiho nodded before replying "Better than I'd ever do.."
Fuyu suddenly spoke without thinking "Is biology that hard for you?"
Caught off guard, Jiho laughed nervously before answering "Well.. yeah, I might as well be the dumbest person you'll ever meet."
"I'm sure you're capable of it, you just need a bit of help..." Fuyu paused for a moment and spoke without thinking, again. "How about I tutor you? Free of charge!"
Silence filled the room. Tutor? Fuyu was okay at teaching but still she never tutored anyone before.. Suddenly the bell rang, signalling that some of the lectures were gonna start.
Jiho's eyes lit up, "That's so sweet of you... but I'll think about it. Thank you for the offer though!" He said as he arose from the chair before continuing "I have to go now, I have a literature lecture next. See you later!"
Fuyu just stared at Jiho running off to his next lecture until she couldn't see his figure. First of all, why was he so delighted already, she hadn't even said yes? Second of all, why did she tell him that she'd think about it? There was nothing to think about! She has no time to tutor him!
At the same time, she knew that this could be a fresh start of a nice friendship... and better grades for him. Perhaps even losing a bit of patience while teaching him. But still, that didn't give her any more time!
In frustration, Fuyu just ended up slamming her face against the wooden table.
Then she felt a buzz inside her pocket. Dreadfully, Fuyu sluggishly pulled out her phone from her pocket, only to see that it was just her best friend and her brother fighting each other on the group chat.

Fuyu groaned and turned off her phone, this just proves she doesn't have time! Though she always made time for these two, so she turned her phone back on and
F-yu: 'I offered someone to tutor them?!?!'
Aki-Nah: '@F-Yu Why would you.... Omg, your gonna make them fail so bad...'
O-Kai: '@F-Yu How much are you getting paid???'
Aki-Nah: '@O-Kai, I don't think she should be paid for making people fail'
F-Yu: 'Ignoring Aki... @O-Kai I don't think I'm even gonna get paid??'
Aki-Nah: '@F-Yu As she should!'
F-Yu: '@Aki-Nah It's a he..'
O-Kai: '@F-Yu a he.?'
F-Yu: 'I'll talk to you guys later..! Bye Bye!'
Aki-Nah: '@F-Yu bye'
O-Kai: '???'
She turns off the phone, shifting her gaze on the sheet of paper in front of her. It was only half way complete. It was currently 1:12 , she had chemistry in 3 minutes so she hastily shoved her papers into the folder and swung her bag over her shoulder.
As she sped walked towards the Laboratory she got lost in her thoughts again. At 2:10, her afternoon shift at the coffee shop starts. Five more hours from now until Aki visits, then in six hours Fuyu comes back from her shift. They'd hang out for approximately 2 hours, making it 8PM. Then Fuyu would have to go study and still need enough sleep to function properly. When the heck would she have the time to tutor that guy!?
Fuyu didn't even realise she was standing in front of the door until a voice interrupted her thoughts.
"Are you planning to enter or just stand there?"
