Erin Xavier arrived to find Chase Shaw laughing, his laugh both hearty and teasing.
He found it a little odd. "What's so funny?"
Nathan Lockwood scoffed under his breath.
"Zoe Pierce guessed Nathan Lockwood's pheromones smell like green tea." The term "green tea" had long been popularized on the Intelligent Brain; even Chase Shaw and the others knew what the meme meant.
Sure enough, Erin Xavier froze for a moment before letting out a snort of laughter.
He gave Zoe Pierce a thumbs-up and glanced at the stone-faced Nathan Lockwood. 'You know... she's not wrong.'
'He'd absolutely never considered Nathan Lockwood's pheromones in that light before.'
Zoe Pierce was already cringing with embarrassment.
Thankfully, the arrival of their instructor saved her.
"Alright, stop messing around." The instructor hadn't heard what they were saying, but he found the atmosphere a bit strange. Even Miles Sherman's lips were quirked into a smile. "Let's go."
