After stashing the 2,000 yuan in the scooter's basket, the two guys hurried home.
But after they got back, they couldn't let it go. After all, it had taken them several jobs to earn that two thousand yuan.
So, the two of them secretly watched from their window, keeping an eye on the spot and wondering when the man would return.
They watched for hours. They waited and waited, but even when the garbage truck arrived, the man still hadn't appeared.
This started to give them ideas. It was so dark last night; the man probably didn't get a good look at them. He might not even know they were the ones who stole the scooter in the first place. The temptation grew stronger.
They couldn't help but discuss whether they should hurry downstairs and take back the 2,000 yuan from the basket.
