Wanyun hadn't expected the Ming mother and daughter to be so capable they could actually request an audience with Lu Jingxing.
Wanyun said to Lu Jingxing, "Today was supposed to be my first time as a matchmaker. I was going to the Ye family's wedding feast, but unfortunately, I got a sudden stomachache and couldn't go.
Could something have gone wrong with their family's marriage? Why don't we let them in and ask?"
Lu Jingxing then said to the eunuch, "Show them in."
At the palace gate, Ming Wei tightly gripped Madam Ming's hand.
Upon hearing the eunuch's message, Ming Wei turned to Madam Ming, overjoyed. "Mother, I was right! His Majesty really does remember me! He's willing to see me!"
Madam Ming was also a little pleased to hear this news.
When the two entered the Diligent Governance Hall, Madam Ming and Ming Wei dared not look up. They bowed, and only after hearing the command to rise did they raise their heads.
