「Blood Race Royal City.」
From below, the city seemed ancient but otherwise unremarkable. However, a view from the sky revealed seven pools of water within the massive Royal City.
The seven pools were arranged in the shape of the Big Dipper.
Snowflakes fell.
Landing in the pools.
They dissolved without a trace.
Clearly, this was not a hot spring.
Yet the water in the pools hadn't frozen; it flowed slowly.
The seven pools reflected the moon.
This was the source of the Blood Race's evolution: the Blood Pool!
There were seven pools in total. The largest one was situated in the center, encircled by the Royal City, with sturdy walls built around it. Flowers even bloomed in the water.
In the very center of the pool was a small island.
The island was not large.
A bamboo grove grew upon it.
Next to the grove, a bamboo house stood with considerable elegance.
