The Holy Dragon was torn to shreds.
It died in the jaws of the Taowu.
Weakened, the Taowu landed in the water. It stared at Jiang Zuo, its thoughts a mystery. Perhaps it wasn't thinking at all.
Jiang Zuo approached the Taowu. The creature was not in good shape. Even though the Holy Dragon had lost her courage, killing her had still required a great deal of effort.
But these were minor issues.
However, Jiang Zuo could feel that the mark wanted to absorb the Taowu.
Jiang Zuo had no intention of forcing it, so he asked the Taowu, "Do you want to come in?"
As he spoke, Jiang Zuo presented the mark.
He didn't plan to coerce it. If the Taowu refused, Jiang Zuo would do nothing.
To Jiang Zuo's surprise, however, the Taowu excitedly agreed.
'I wonder what it's thinking.'
After that, the Taowu was absorbed into the mark. Just like with Chaos, Jiang Zuo became a Candidacy Saintess who could perform one Summoning of the Taowu's true form.
