Before I took another step, I made my wolf get back into my chest where he belonged. He didn't want to at first, insisting that he'd rather see me save the human first, but when I threatened to return back to my room, he reluctantly agreed.
Cause apparently the human was in grave danger and therefore, he couldn't waste time arguing with me.
The sensation of my wolf getting back into my chest was warm and familiar, then I could hear and feel him inside my head and mind. I felt surprised by how very worried he actually felt.
"Get moving, we're wasting too much time here." He grumbled urgently in my head and I let out a long sigh, feeling the exact direction he believed the human was in danger at, and I just followed it.
"This is a one time thing, Sky. And after tonight, this ridiculous obsession with this human had better end before it trued into something unhealthy." I scolded as I approached the beginning of one of the woods here in school.
"Its not a ridiculous obsession, it's fate. He belongs to us." Sky grunted.
I let out a low scoff. "Yeah, I think not."
I regarded the woods for a moment. This was one of the woods that was forbidden to students for some reason.
"Are you certain the human is really here?" I asked as I walked through the woods, easily bypassing the wards that was supposed to keep us out with the help of Sky.
"Yes. I felt him. I'm very certain."
I let out a long sigh, no longer bothering to respond, and instead, I only followed the pathway I could feel from my wolf.
As I kept walking, I kept looking around, hoping this wasn't some kind of trap cause I still didn't believe the human is here right now. No human is dumb enough to walk into any woods at night, especially a forbidden one.
"Closer. Closer. We're almost there." Sky urged me on.
I could pick out scenes of vampires in the air and I instantly stiffened for a moment.
The vampires all smelt young, like the ones here in school. And most of them have barely come into their real vampire strength.
I continued walking, at high alert of my entire surrounding.
Vampires are generally a danger to werewolves, but I wasn't afraid or terrified right now, cause I'm certain I'd be able to detect and effortlessly defect them.
I was stronger than the regular werewolf, after all. Way stronger
Some might even say that I was too strong, like my father for example.
My eyes darted around as soon as I arrived at the middle of the woods where it was more free to move because of the lesser trees standing. I didn't stop walking, even after catching a whiff of a few humans scents in the air. That meant more than one human was here tonight and that made my confusion thicken.
What's going on?
I let my eyes sharpen, then my eyes examine the entire woods. I caught sight of some vampires feeding on some humans. The humans seemed to all be unconscious, while the vampires seemed like they've been starved for years from how they were feeding.
I wrinkled my nose in disgust. Vampires were one disgusting creature, that's for sure.
The human scents in the air were the same. Mild, almost neutral like betas scent.
It was nothing like that boy who ran into me this morning. The same human that my wolf is now making me search for right now.
"Keep looking for him." Sky urged and I rolled my eyes, wanting to tell him to stop rushing me, but that wire got stuck in my throat when my eyes landed on the human I came grrr to look for.
He was about ten feet away, trapped underneath a heavy looking vampire, and the vampire was feeding on his blood while he seemed to have passed out.
Sky exploded within me with so much anger and rage, while I stood frozen for a moment as a sharp wave of anger gripped me from that sight before instantly disappearing.
What the fuck…
I approached the feeing vampire fast, zipping through the trees, as fast and as light as the wind. The vampire didn't notice me coming, none did.
When he felt me stop behind him, it was already too late for him to get into an attack stance, cause I clamped a hand around his throat, wrenching his head backward and relishing in the pained cry he let out.
He didn't get to see me before I hit a spot behind his neck that had him slumping in an unconscious state, falling to the ground with a loud thud beside the unconscious human.
"Why didn't you kill him? Kill the morher fucker for daring to touch something that belongs to us!!!" Sky yelled within me, fuming with so much rage, one I've never felt from him before.
"Calm down, Sky. He's out cold, that's enough for now. We don't want anything getting linked back to us, and the human isn't us, so chill out." I responded and my wolf huffed in annoyance, clearly not sharing my opinion.
"Check the human, is he breathing?" Shy asked and my eyes landed on the human before crouching beside him. At once, his vanilla scent began to fill up my nose, passing through my lungs and mouth, making the difference between his scent and the other humans in this woods right now.
My head spinned a little for some reason before I shook it a little.
"I think he's fine." I told my wolf as I regarded his face, taking in the smoothness and paleness, the way his eye lashes fanned his cheeks and the way he resembled a doll, his white hair fanned out underneath him. His chest was slightly moving as he breathed, and he seemed to be in a peaceful sleep.
"His neck is bleeding, he's not fine," Sky pointed out and my eyes landed on the curve of his shoulder that was exposed, it seemed his shirt got torn, revealing the top part of his chest and the whole part of his right shoulder. I refused to focus on that, focusing solely on the spot the vampire bit with his fangs, it was bleeding fast.
"Ah… well, we can't do anything about it. Only the one who bit him can stop the bleeding with their saliva." I pointed out as I rose to my feet, my dislike for humans rushing back in at a fast pace as I turned away to leave.
"You can't just leave him bleeding, he'll bleed to his death." My wolf yelled at me and I let out a sigh of frustration.
"What else do you want me to do? I already helped him. That was our agreement."
"The agreement was to save him. Sure, you've saved him from the first danger but he's not yet fully saved. We absolutely can't leave him like this." Shy pointed out, boots flat and filled with so much disapproval that made me roll my eyes.
I gritted out, now annoyed as I focused on the human again.
Werewolf blood have healing particles that might be able to stop the bleeding but I doubt if it would heal the bite, cause I'm not the one who put the bite there.
I crouched before him again, dragging my fingers over my tongue, and then I pressed it against the bleeding spot.
"You should have licked the bite instead." Sky pointed out but I ignored his snarky tone. No way was I gonna put my mouth on a human.
When I pulled my fingers away, I hoped that the bleeding would slow down and then stop.
I didn't expect the bleeding to stop immediately, and for the bite to get healed, leaving tiny bite marks in its place, and this is something that takes at least a week before it fully closes up.
"What the fuck…" I breathed out in disbelief.
"That's insane." Sky exclaimed!
Feeling creeped out, I abruptly got up.
"We're done here." I said to Sky who grumbled, but I ignored him and turned away, taking the route that would lead us out of here.
"Why don't we take him along with us?" He demanded sulkily.
