Chapter 22 - Chapter 22

"Do not make a wreck of my courtroom," Alexis said. "You are dismissed, Sean, your journey as a Dreamweaver will start as soon as you step out the door. There will also be a package waiting for you at your house. All of you are dismissed."

The courtroom was quiet, and the two angels, Macedon and Emery, left the room from where they came.

Elijah slowly walked over to Sean and put his head on his shoulder. He knelt toward his ear. "Come on, man, you got to get going."

Sean lifted his knees off the ground. He stood up, looked Elijah right in the eye. "Can you do anything, Elijah? I don't know who to trust now; I don't know where to go."

"I saw who Alexis is. I don't think the other two did. I'll see what I can come up with on my end. But please know there is deception in the Dreamweaver world. You must be careful. Many with power do not want you to be here."

The duo walked out of the courtroom. They went into the elevator and went to the bottom floor.

Why would anybody want to hurt me? Sean looked at the unicorn above him, heading out the door. It was a taxi.

"You get used to it. This is home, but I would recommend well-needed rest. Would you like a ride home?" Elijah took his index finger and pointed it at him.

As his wings emerged from his back, Elijah clasped Sean's hand. Behind his outfit, he had a spectacular display of wings. They had a color that resembled that of the ocean.

Sean was amazed at the beauty he saw. He felt his body lift off the ground. The afternoon sun was shining over the industrial section of the Dreamweaver's Society.

As he struggled to fathom what had happened to his guardian angel, Sean gazed out at the awe-inspiring scenery. He glanced over to Elijah, who was smiling kindly and soaking in the views as well. "Thank you for taking the time to comfort me," Sean said.

"You're welcome! It's a pleasure as a fellow resident of the Dreamweaver Society and a Guardian Angel to serve humans. Humans are pretty much like little brothers and sisters to us. You're a bit different though, as you can see, we have the same type of body. Do you know anything about our origin?"

"Not yet! Hopefully, one day I can understand what this place is about. I can't operate if I have limited information. My dad always told me to grow up. With information it is possible to limit the risks we take in life."

"It seems you did retain some of the things your parents taught you. You've grown in a few days you've been here. I see why Samantha thinks so highly of you. As I said earlier, you do have talent, and if you continue to seek wisdom, who knows where you'll be in years. All right, are you ready for action?"

"Oh, I am." Sean had a big smile on his face as he looked at them. "Right, here we go."

Sean lost his grip and started to tumble toward the ground. "What the hell, Elijah?" Sean was indeed tumbling, the wind fluttering around him. He could barely think. I can do this. Sean tried his best not to look at the ground. I'm going to die, there is no doubt about it. I'm going to hit a tree.

Sean felt his body stop in midair as he opened his eyes to see Elijah beside him.

"I guess I pushed you too far. I was hoping the emotional trauma from seeing Samantha taken away would've given you the ability to fly or at least stabilize yourself in midair. I am still learning the extent of the human mind in our spiritual realm. Sorry I gave you a fright." Elijah stated.

Sean hands wave frantically in the air. "You did more than that! You almost made me pee on myself. That was really terrifying. You were right above me. Come on, man, you should have warned me."

"If I had warned you, then you would've held on tighter." Elijah chuckled, brushing his shoulder off.

Sean nodded. He felt the grip of Elijah's hand in his again.

"Can you take me home? Can we land there in the middle of the plaza?" Sean tightened his grip on Elijah, hoping to feel a sort of connection to the angel.

"Of course, man, I'll take you there." Elijah flew around the blue fountain with streaming water, landing softly on the ground. The angel let go of Sean's hand, he stood in front of him and put his hand on his shoulder. "If you believe all there is, is what you see, then you will never see all you are meant to see."

Sean stood there, his mouth open, nodding gently. "Thank you for taking me home."

Elijah put two fingers up as he turned around. "It's no problem. I will see you when I see you." Elijah lifted into the air at breakneck speed and disappeared from Sean's eyesight in a matter of moments.
