Yume smiled as she looked at Haruka. While riding the Ferris wheel, Haruka didn't experience much fear; the only concern he felt was the growing realization of how deeply he loved Yume. The poison was spreading faster than he expected.
Haruka knew Yume for a long time, but... It might be the first time they were sitting together. Now is the chance for him to talk with her and have a proper conversation with her.
Haruka looked at the watch that he was wearing on his wrist. It was 3 pm right now... They still have a lot of time, and it won't take much to explain to Jack why he was late. Haruka thinks that they should stay at the park... a little more. Haruka thinks he should start a conversation, so he opens his mouth to talk.
Haruka: (nervous) "Uhm...I- uh- I- uh I- um I- I- You- I" As he noticed that while trying to speak, he stuttered a lot, he knew he messed it up. His face goes bright red as he sees how much he is stuttering.
She chose to remain silent, indicating that Haruka should continue with what he wanted to say. Yume, on the other hand, was entertained a lot. She was laughing uncontrollably when she noticed that Haruka was stuttering. She caught the fact that Haruka was trying to start a conversation, but she was amused when she saw that Haruka was stuttering this badly. She couldn't stop her laugh, and Aurel and others from the nearest cabin of the Ferris wheel could hear her laugh. Yume then sees that when she was laughing, Haruka was staring at her and was getting redder. He was staring at her with eyes that were filled with affection, but that was too unfamiliar. It was too much of a new sight for her. She coughed and was slowly stopping her laugh. She chose to remain silent, encouraging Haruka to continue what he wanted to say.
Haruka, who was still staring at her intently and blushing, but still acknowledging her beauty even when she laughs, decides to try again and start a conversation... another try won't hurt.
Haruka: (Still nervous but less than before) "W-well... What I w-wanted t-to ask was... What do you usually do for fun... in your free time?"
Haruka was found dumbfounded when he saw that Yume was holding back her laugh. When Yume saw Haruka being dumbfounded, she couldn't help but laugh. Haruka, seeing her laugh, couldn't help but smile and then chuckle with her.
Yume slowly stops laughing and says, "I love to watch Anime, read books... Especially by Dostoevsky and Kafka...ahh...what about you?"
Haruka's face lit up as he heard her choices. It was the same as his. He forgot the nervousness, and with a lightened-up face, he asks, "DOSTOEVSKY!??! KAFKA!?!? AND ANIME!!! Me too!!! I like The Metamorphosis by Kafka and White Nights by Dostoevsky!"
Yume, seeing that Haruka recognized those books, immediately agrees and says that she likes the same books. They had the same taste in books. Haruka asks about anime, and she starts to say names that were too familiar for Haruka. Even though he watched those and liked those, hearing how Yume explained them made Haruka feel like he was knowing the story once again, but in a better way.
Haruka and Yume are still holding hands. Aurel and others saw the view and were smirking and kept poking each other. They were literally happy about this stuff, whatever is going on. Haruka loved how Yume knew all of the things he was saying, and he knew all of the things Yume was saying. After a few minutes of having a conversation with Yume, Haruka intentionally noted how she mainly indicates the color "Blue" and the flower "rose"... He noted those as her favorites. They all got out of the Ferris wheel, and by the moment they got out, Saiko, Aurel, and others started to tease them. Yume blushes slightly and says, "Tch!... What's wrong with talking and knowing each other better, huh?... damn idiots..."
When Haruka saw her blush, a strange feeling lingered inside of him again. This strange ache in his heart. It skips a beat and then starts to beat loudly, loud enough for him to notice. He knows he loves Yume, but he never expected that he would go to the point where they would talk and hold hands... He started to get his hopes high, but then again, he has to stay on point.
And after they were done having fun in the amusement park, it was time for them to leave. Haruka waves his hand towards Aurel, Yume, Saito, and others. A smile was on his face. This sight was rare because he never had a smile fixed on his face. Yume was smiling too when she waved at him. Everyone started to get separate, and slowly they were heading for their house. Haruka went and got on a bus, which wasn't crowded now. He sits beside the window, and then he is lost in deep thoughts.
After going to the house, he says, "I am home uncle Jack..."
Jack, who was worried about why Haruka was late, looked at him. He was about to scold him, but then he saw Haruka was smiling... Not the usual sight, as he thought of it. Instead of scolding him, Jack asks him, "So... Today was better than usual, I suppose?"
Haruka was nervous. He nodded and agreed.
Haruka went to his room as he took a shower and came back to the dining room as he saw Jack there for the last time. Jack gave him his lunch. It was beef and rice. Haruka thanked him and started to eat.
Jack coughs and asks, "Ahem!... So, who is the girl?..."
Haruka chokes on his food, and Jack immediately rushes and gives him water.
Jack: "Nah, kid, you are not dying before telling me who this girl... I have to know who this angel born on earth is that made my boy smile?"(His smile lingers too long)
Haruka stops his eating while his mouth was filled with rice. He swallows and says, "After I eat, you need to wait."
