Chapter 17 – The Sumpa(Vow) of Moon and Tide

The Ten-Headed Phoenix roared, its ten necks lashing out like serpents. Ling Yue was a blur of gold, her spear clashing against the corrupted flames, but she was being pushed back. The "Resentment" of the valley was heavy, and even a Super Douluo felt the drain.

Lakan looked at the spectral Phoenix Priestess. She wasn't a ghost; she was a recorded memory of the world, a "Diwata" of the valley. She pointed at the second blade, the unfinished Buan (Moon), and then at Shui Bing'er.

"The Sun is the King's path," the Priestess's voice echoed in Lakan's mind. "But the Moon is the Tide that guides the King home. Without the Cold, the Fire consumes itself."

Lakan understood. He turned to Shui Bing'er, who was pale, her Ice Phoenix shivering under the pressure of the Ten-Headed monster.

"Bing'er! Come here!" Lakan shouted.

She stumbled into the frost-perimeter of the mandala. "It's too strong, Lakan! My ice is melting!"

"Then give it a vessel!" Lakan grabbed her hand. "The Golden Bird has entered the first blade, but the Silver Bird—the Mother of Space—won't accept my blood alone. She needs the resonance of the Extreme Ice. She needs you."

Lakan took the Sacrificial Kris and looked Bing'er in the eyes. "This isn't just a weapon, Bing'er. If we do this, our souls will be linked by the Sumpa. We will be the 'Twin Wings' of this valley. Do you trust me?"

Shui Bing'er looked at the chaotic battle outside the circle, then at the calm, prismatic depth of Lakan's eyes. She saw a boy who wasn't just talented, but one who carried the weight of a world she wanted to belong to.

"I trust you," she whispered.

Lakan made a light cut on her palm and his own. He pressed their bleeding palms together over the hilt of the second Kampilan.

"Sa Ngalan ng Buwan (In the Name of the Moon)," Lakan began the chant, his voice weaving with the Silver Blue Devil Bird's shriek. "Witness the Vow of the Silver Wing. Space be our Path, and Ice be our Shield!"

The Silver Blue Devil Bird didn't just enter the blade; it exploded into a pillar of moonlight that shot toward the sky, temporarily blinding the Ten-Headed Phoenix.

The second Kampilan, Buan, transformed. The Spirit-Ironwood became a shimmering, translucent silver-blue metal that felt cold to the touch but radiated a terrifying "Space-Cutting" sharpness.

At that moment, the Sumpa was sealed. A faint, silver thread of energy connected Lakan's heart to Bing'er's.

Forming a Connection, Bing'er felt Lakan's Seven-Tone Chaos rhythm, stabilizing her shaky soul power.

Lakan felt the Absolute Cold of the Ice Phoenix, tempering the "Heat" of his Adarna bloodline.

Lakan stood up, holding Araw (The Golden Sun) in his right hand and Buan (The Silver Moon) in his left. He handed Buan to Shui Bing'er.

"It's a bit heavy for a normal girl," Lakan teased, despite the sweat pouring down his face. "But for a Phoenix Priestess? It's just right."

Shui Bing'er gripped the silver Kampilan. It felt like an extension of her own arm. "What do we do now?"

"We finish the performance," Lakan said, his gaze turning toward the Ten-Headed Phoenix.

He didn't use a Soul Skill. He used the Eight-Directional Flow. But this time, he wasn't alone. Because of the Sumpa, Bing'er's movements were perfectly synchronized with his.

"Hakbang Alahas (Diamond Glide)!"

They moved together, a streak of Gold and a streak of Silver.

Ling Yue stepped back, her jaw dropping. The two children were moving in a Prismatic Refraction pattern. Lakan struck with a Vibrational Pulse (Panununtukan) from the Golden blade, shattering the Ten-Headed Phoenix's physical defense, while Bing'er followed up with a Space-Slicing arc from the Silver blade, freezing and "cutting" the very air around the monster's necks.

The Ten-Headed Phoenix shrieked as its corrupted heads were severed one by one. It wasn't just a defeat; it was an Exorcism. The Adarna's suppression, backed by the two Anito-blades, forced the rot out of the beast.

As the monster dissolved into grey ash, the valley returned to its haunting stillness. The spectral Priestess bowed deeply to the two children and vanished into a Nirvana Egg nearby.

Lakan fell back onto the sand, his muscles screaming, but he was laughing. He looked at the Golden Kampilan in his hand, then at Bing'er, who was staring at her Silver blade in awe.

"Not bad for a first date, right?" Lakan panted.

Shui Bing'er looked at him, her icy eyes softening into a smile that could melt a glacier. "You're insufferable, Lakan Diwa. But... thank you."

Ling Yue walked over, looking at the two blades. "Soul Spirit Tools... Anito Artifacts... You've really done it. You've created weapons that can grow with you. But Lakan... that silver thread between you two. That's a life-bond. You've basically just 'married' your destinies together."

Lakan looked at the faint silver light connecting him to Bing'er and shrugged with a confident grin. "Hey, I told her she was a fellow bird of a feather. Might as well fly in the same formation."
