Chapter 3 - The Empire Meets Blue Star

-

CHAPTER 1 – BEYOND THE METEORITE WALL

Far away in the depths of the galaxy, an interstellar civilization flourished.

Its population numbered in the hundreds of trillions, composed of countless races, forms of life, and evolutionary branches. Technology and cultivation existed side by side, intertwining into a complex system that ruled over star clusters and dimensions alike.

This civilization was divided into two supreme factions.

The Empire — tyrannical, expansion-driven, believing that conquest was the natural order of the universe.

And the Federation — advocates of restrained expansion and calculated peace, acting as the only force capable of keeping the Empire in check.

Neither side could destroy the other.

Neither side could dominate completely.

And thus, balance was maintained.

In this civilization, one either belonged to the Empire or the Federation.

There was no third choice.

…At least, officially.

(There were, of course, space pirates — but that was another story entirely.)

---

To break through the natural spatial turbulence that surrounded meteorite walls between galaxies, this civilization had developed specialized technology capable of folding and stabilizing chaotic dimensions.

After countless experiments and failures, they finally succeeded.

But what awaited them beyond most civilization-grade galaxies was a harsh truth:

Compared to the truly ancient universes, they were still children playing at power.

So instead of challenging greater existences, they turned their attention inward.

They observed.

They learned.

They broadcast everything.

The Empire and the Federation existed under constant livestream, their wars, politics, discoveries, and explorations becoming the greatest entertainment across trillions of worlds.

---

On this particular day, an Imperial Exploration Fleet was returning from months of fruitless expeditions.

They had hunted for lower civilizations to harvest.

They had found nothing worthwhile.

Fatigued and irritated, the fleet altered its return route.

And then…

They saw it.

A sparse meteorite ring drifting in the void.

Even more strangely, distant meteorites were slowly moving toward it, filling the gaps as though guided by invisible hands.

A natural wall in the making.

Every explorer knew what this meant.

Behind every meteorite wall lay a new civilization.

But exhaustion won over curiosity.

The fleet returned home first.

They rested for one month.

Then the Empire mobilized properly.

A fresh exploration army.

Millions of elite soldiers.

Specialized ships.

Full recording systems.

Livestream authorization.

The moment the fleet departed again, news spread like wildfire.

Within minutes, trillions of viewers flooded the broadcast channels.

Another civilization discovery.

Another possible harvest.

Another spectacle.

As they approached the meteorite wall, spatial turbulence intensified violently.

Even their specialized ships trembled.

Metal screamed.

Energy shields distorted.

Navigation arrays flickered.

They had no choice.

A synchronized space jump was initiated.

The fleet bypassed the meteorite wall—

Only to be swallowed again by turbulence.

Engines roared.

Energy cores burned.

They forced their way out.

Then silence.

Before them lay a lonely star cluster.

A small, barren planet drifted nearby.

Scans revealed no life.

They descended to repair their ships.

At first, nothing seemed wrong.

Then discomfort crept in.

Breathing became laborious.

Organs weakened.

Blood circulation slowed.

It was as though the planet itself rejected existence.

Three days later, panic spread.

The suffocation worsened.

They fled.

Only then did they realize:

This planet could not support life at all.

Even the livestream audience was stunned.

In other star clusters, barren planets still allowed breathing.

This one killed slowly.

Silently.

---

They pressed onward.

One beautiful planet after another appeared.

Blue oceans.

Green continents.

Golden skies.

But all were empty.

No races.

No civilizations.

Each one was declared property of the Empire in the livestream.

Until…

A faint halo appeared in the distance.

They accelerated.

And then they saw it.

A planet of impossible beauty.

Oceans like liquid sapphire.

Clouds woven with golden light.

Atmosphere rich with life.

Earth.

The livestream population surged past one hundred trillion.

Ecstasy spread.

They rushed forward.

Then—

BOOM.

An invisible force slammed their ships backward.

Several light-years.

Panic erupted.

Before they could recover…

A dot emerged from the planet.

Then thousands.

Then millions.

Inside Earth,

On that day, every sentient being heard two words echo directly within their soul:

Invasion.

Danger.

Space channels activated across the globe.

Portals bloomed open.

Figures mounted on winged beasts soared into the void.

Pegasi.

White.

Black.

Silver.

Crimson.

Azure.

Violet.

Golden.

They gathered outside the atmosphere like a divine army.

At the forefront stood the Gu family.

And at the very front of all:

Gu Ruisheng.

And Gu Mian.

Husband and wife.

Married for thousands of years.

---

The Empire zoomed in.

They saw humans.

Walking in space.

Breathing without protection.

Beautiful beyond reason.

Riding mythical beasts.

The livestream exploded.

Screams.

Worship.

Obsession.

Desire.

The Crown Prince initiated mental contact.

SSS-rank mental waves surged toward Gu Ruisheng.

Gu Ruisheng responded calmly.

But in his mind, he marked them as weak.

Their battleships though, very strong, he thought.

After brief communication, he transmitted spiritual instructions to Earth:

All forces withdraw.

No civilian contact.

Prepare for war.

Then he invited the Empire to descend.

The planetary repulsion vanished.

The Empire entered.

They scanned Earth.

Population: 103 million.

They thought their scanners malfunctioned.

They scanned twice more

Same results.

They followed Gu Ruisheng to a remote island.

They settled in.

Scanned the planet, discovered mountains upon mountains of ore.

These ores represented important energy sources and immense wealth.

Yes these native just explored but mined nothing?

Fools.

They decided, this planet was theirs for the taking.

These resources were enough to for the empire to thrive for another 5000 years, could not be given up.

Languages were exchanged.

Two days later, global communication was established.

---

The meeting occurred.

Livestream active.

Gu Ruisheng spoke first.

**What is your purpose here, **

The Crown Prince answered arrogantly.

**The offer is simple:

Submit to the empire

Become our vassals.

Offer 80 percent of your resources.

Offer your bodies, each of your people represent beauty

Offer your loyalty and we will protect you, your population is pitiful, but with us, you can fear no unfair treatment, we will be your backing.**

Gu Mian's expression of disdain said everything.

When refusal came, threats followed.

**Refuse and we will take this star by force, you will lose your freedom, you will become slaves.**

Gu Ruisheng's reply was cold:

_Five days.

Gather your army.

Face our planet.

With War

We settle this farce.

Leave within one hour.

Or suffocate, surely that memory hasn't been forgotten by you_

The Empire left in fury.

Earth laughed.

They were excited.

It was thousands of years since they last fought.

The war preparations began.

What followed…

Was not preparation.

It was ceremony.

This was not a battle.

This was a declaration.

The universe would remember Earth.
