As Sidd starts walking towards his house, he notices a tank loaded with fuel making its way down the same street toward the café. He doesn't think much of it and continues on slowly, though he had barely made it far from the café.
At first, he pays no real attention to the truck—but something about its unnatural movement catches his eye. His gaze shifts instinctively toward the driver's seat. What he sees stops him cold.
The driver is unconscious.
In the blink of an eye, the truck begins to swerve—its path shifting toward him… and the café.
It misses Sidd by inches and crashes directly into the café.
Without a thought, Sidd dashes toward it. His body moves before his mind can catch up—he's not in control anymore. And just as he nears the café—
"BOOM."
The explosion erupts, the force throwing Sidd off his feet and slamming him against the hard road. He skids across the surface, feeling his skin tear and burn. His face scorches with pain. But worse than the pain is what he hears—the ringing of the blast in his ears, the shattering of glass, and the faint, desperate screams from inside.
And just before his eyes close…
He sees the café.
No longer dressed in red—but drowned in the darkest shade one could imagine.
And in front of his fading vision—
A flower.
A crimson tulip, which was definitely not .
