Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: New Problems

With Draco's departure, the Guardians began to chat amongst themselves.

"Speaking of which, do any of you have magic cooldown scrolls on you?"

Shalltear interrupted the group's catching up to ask the question she cared about most.

"Hmm? Do you need them? I happen to have two left on me."

Demiurge took out two scrolls engraved with profound patterns.

Shalltear was quick and snatched them away.

"Demiurge, consider this a favor I owe you. I'm taking the scrolls."

"They're just two scrolls, not particularly precious items. If you want them, take them."

Demiurge didn't think much of it.

Albedo, on the other hand, frowned, realizing things were not that simple.

"Shalltear, are the scrolls intended for the Master?"

"Naturally."

"I happen to be going to the Master's place now, let me take them over."

"Hmph, I will deliver them personally, no need for you to worry."

Immediately, Shalltear put the scrolls away, looking as if she would absolutely not hand them over.

The others didn't quite understand why Shalltear was so insistent, but since it wasn't a big deal, they didn't say anything.

"Alright everyone, catching up ends here. I need to set out."

Saying that, Demiurge prepared to get up and leave.

Elder Cocytus was somewhat puzzled. "Did the Master not say to familiarize yourself for three days first? Why are you leaving in such a hurry?"

Demiurge paused his steps and gently pushed up his round-framed glasses.

"Do you really think Lord Draco's plan is only this much?"

Having said that, Demiurge walked out of Nazarick with elegant steps.

Everyone was stunned by his words and began to ponder the meaning behind them.

Aura tugged at her hair. "Argh! What exactly is this guy trying to say? Can't he finish talking before leaving?"

Only Albedo's expression remained unchanged among those present.

She could read Demiurge's thoughts.

These two were the wise ones of Nazarick; only they could understand Draco's "plan."

"Alright, since Demiurge didn't say, he naturally has his reasons. We just need to obey the Master's orders."

Albedo interrupted the group's speculation.

Everyone nodded and did not continue to ask.

Afterward, the group dispersed, as they still had many things to handle... Back in his office, Draco was flipping through Demiurge's Character Information, which he had forgotten to check earlier.

After reading Demiurge's information, Draco suddenly remembered something.

Demiurge is an Archdevil, so who holds a higher rank between him and a Primordial Demon?

Draco was looking forward to what interesting things would happen when Demiurge and Diablo met.

Half an hour later.

Draco finished processing the documents that needed to be handled today.

He suddenly realized that he seemed to have nothing left to do.

Bored, he prepared to go out for a walk.

With a thought, Draco teleported to the entrance of the burial grounds.

At this moment, Mare was using nature magic, and large patches of towering trees rose from the ground.

The land also began to transform, completely enveloping the valley.

The sky was also obscured by illusion magic.

The path leading to the outside world turned into a massive cave.

An illusionary barrier was also applied to the cave entrance; from the outside, it looked like a rock wall.

Draco did not disturb Mare's work and quietly left the area.

Walking down the mountain path, he soon saw the plains.

The plains were extraordinarily bustling at this moment.

Aura, holding a whip, was commanding thousands of large beasts.

The World Item in her hand, the Picture of Mountains and Rivers, contained a hundred special spaces.

Aura was a magical beast collection freak, and the number of beasts locked inside the Picture was countless.

At this time, she summoned all those suitable for work.

Some were logging, while others were digging foundations.

Because the magical beasts were massive, the project progressed very rapidly.

However, Draco was slightly dissatisfied.

Because there were no materials like cement, the houses built, while delicate, were all made of wood.

They had the flavor of a primitive tribe.

Although it was meant to be a town to deceive others, Draco also hoped the buildings would look more aesthetic.

So, he immediately called Aura over.

"Why have you come, Lord Draco?"

Aura appeared quite surprised to see Draco before her.

"It's nothing, I just came to take a look."

"By the way, Lord Draco, I've encountered some problems on my end."

"Materials?"

Aura nodded, her expression somewhat worried.

"I've already sent people into the mountains to search for ore veins; we're currently short on large amounts of iron and lime."

Draco rubbed his chin. "As for iron, I have some here, but lime won't be as easy."

Saying this, he took out a large pile of copper and iron he had summoned using 'Summon All Things' when his level was still low.

"Most of these are scrap materials and will need to be smelted again."

"It's alright, Lord. I have a Gold-Eating Beast under my command; as long as I let it eat them and spit them back out, they can be used."

"Alright, then I'll leave them to you. As for the lime, I'll find a way."

Draco instructed with a smile.

"Rest assured, Lord Draco, leave it to me."

"Good, continue with your work."

...Draco returned to his study and began to think about the material issue.

He knew there were two mines near the Sealed Cave to the west.

One was limestone, and the other was iron ore.

Those were important resources for the Demon Lord to build the Jura Tempest Federation in the future.

Draco began to think, "Should I go borrow some?"

After thinking about it, he decided against it; the distance was too far, and transportation would be too troublesome.

Besides, the scale of the mountains they were in wasn't small; they would eventually find ore veins.

"Or... should I go buy some first for the emergency?"

After considering it, Draco decided to make a trip to the Eastern Empire.
