I hope you're enjoying the novel so far.
In this section, I'll be informing you about some changes I'll be making to the story. You don't have to read this, but I recommend it so you can better understand the reasons behind certain adjustments later on.
When I first started writing, I was heavily inspired by video games. That's why I decided to include dungeons, professions, and a skill system. At the time, the idea fascinated me, and I didn't hesitate to implement it.
However, as the story progressed, new ideas began to form—ideas that could improve the novel even further.
I'll be introducing these changes gradually, but they also created a problem:
1. Profession Adjustments
The number of professions I originally planned to introduce would eventually become too large and confusing. Because of that, I've decided to merge and streamline them into a clearer structure.
Non-Combat Professions:
Doctor
Politician
Merchant (Accountant)
Blacksmith
Omnificer
Builder
Combat Professions:
Mages
Hunters
Warriors
Assassins
These professions will not be weaker—on the contrary, they will be more optimized and better defined.
2. Skill System Changes
The number of skills was also becoming problematic.
A status screen showing more than 20 or 30 skills would be excessive and difficult to balance in the long term.
For that reason, I will be merging them into a new concept: Arts.
Arts will be stronger, more specialized abilities.
Additionally, each character will have a maximum number of Arts, helping maintain balance and narrative clarity.
All of these changes will be explained in more detail in the upcoming chapters.
