Chapter 4 - The First Intelligent Race

Upon waking, I noticed the change immediately; the most striking feature was the golden energy spreading throughout the planet. Many of the native species had perished, and only about 40% survived. It was somewhat similar to the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs, though not nearly as devastating.

Genesis: "Elena, how is my body?"

Elena: "It is stable, Host. The ascension was successful. Congratulations."

I let out a sigh of relief upon hearing that; somehow, I had achieved the impossible: creating an entirely new energy. The Origin Energy now spread throughout my body, especially in my core.

Genesis: "Why is it golden?"

Elena: "Because of me."

In a way, that made sense. Its color was beautiful—not too intense, warm, like sunlight at dawn. Yet, a question gnawed at me.

Genesis: "Can all races see it, or just me?"

Elena: "Energies, generally, cannot be seen. Very few races in the universe are capable of perceiving them visually; normally, only beings above Ascension Level 8 can see them."

Genesis: "Then how are they aware of energies if they can't see them?"

Elena: "They can feel them. Each race has an affinity for certain types of energy, and that affinity determines their talent."

Genesis: "So I can see it because I'm a planet?"

Elena: "Affirmative, Host. As a planet, you possess the highest possible affinity with the type of energy you produce."

As I absorbed the situation, I sensed that I could create my first intelligent race. This information didn't come from Elena; somehow, I just knew. I could create this race from a template; for example, I could make humans, elves, or dwarves, or I could create something entirely new.

I was tempted to create humans, but eventually, I discarded the idea. I was curious to create an entirely new race, perhaps unique in the entire multiverse. It was an opportunity too tempting to pass up.

Finally, I decided they would be humanoid, with a form similar to humans, remembering my previous life. I would call this race the Primordials.

They would have two sexes, male and female. They would be tall, at least two meters on average, with human-like physiques, but their skin would be blue.

Furthermore, they would have rune tattoos covering their bodies and would be beautiful. However, their hearts would carry the blood and Origin Energy throughout their bodies, allowing them to cultivate and ascend.

After a few days of planning, I was able to refine all the details; it wasn't very difficult. Creating a race is natural for a planet, and I also had Elena's help.

Initially, I planned to use laws to make them loyal to me. However, Elena explained that as my inhabitants ascended, eventually they would come into contact with those laws and might free themselves from them. That's why I decided it would be better if they protected me out of self-interest.

I also didn't plan to tell them I was alive; that's a secret I won't reveal to anyone.

Once the process was complete, I created the Primordials and placed them on one of the continents.

The bad news was that, unless they all died, I wouldn't be able to create new ones. I felt it was a shame, but those were my limitations.

They were fascinating: they looked like children in adult bodies, yet they were highly intelligent. Thanks to the Origin Energy, their souls and minds developed quickly, and their bodies were at least three times stronger and healthier than those of a mortal human.

Even so, I had to depend on them for survival. I knew it would take time for them to fully develop; that's what normally happens on other planets, though I was far from normal.

Once they were created, I began implementing the next phase of my plan. One advantage of being a core was that my intelligence had increased enormously.
