Tyson passed out shocking the villagers who ran out of the barrier to check on him. Bell was the first one there and was in tears as she tried to wake him up. The village elder had not moved from his position as he gave a signal with a small hand mirror he pulled out of his pocket. He had a grim expression on his face that symbolized more than he led on. He had a feeling he could not re-enter the village once he left since he had nothing but malice for the people, but that does not mean he did not have goons at his disposal. The saint got to Tyson and immediately thought to use healing magic on him though thought against it. Her emotions were in turmoil as she broke into tears. The village elder asked her if she could try and heal him. Though she felt reserved about it, she felt indebted to the man and decided to try and heal him. Her habit started to move in a wave-like manner as she radiated with holy magic. Her eyes closed and her will strong, she touched Tyson and began the healing process. The elder said it might bring him pain due to his origin but it should help him. It started out okay before a blood curdling screech invade the entire forest as Tyson experienced the pain earlier mentioned. This went on for a while before Monica could no longer take it and asked the elder what his origin was." Well he is the Duke's son. He's the half vampire who was excommunicated from their family," said the elder and Monica stopped immediately.
" How could you? Healing magic is harmful to vampires. It's stops their regeneration from working," said Monica as she demanded the elder.
" I know," he said as he snapped his fingers and she was knocked out.
The villagers were shocked with this and asked him what he was doing. The elder smirked and said," It looks like my time with you poor saps has ended. Men, take the products. The boss wants them. Kill anyone who dares try to stop you."
" Who are you?" Maverick asked.
" Oh me, hahaha, I'm not someone of your level will understand. Just know that the world we live in, is a hell unlike any you had ever seen," said the elder as his hair turned red and his fangs grew out," Mention this to the Duke and I will kill you."
Vampire goons came out of nowhere and pushed the villagers to the side to try to grab the two but there was resistance. Maverick grabbed Bell and took off for the barrier as the elder walked out through it. The elder grinned to reveal his fangs and he announced," Let the massacre begin."
The vampires tore through the villagers as the tried desperately to re-enter the barrier. Many of them wore torn to shreds; some even lost their limbs before succumbing to the extreme blood loss. Bell was traumatized as she desperately tried to escape maverick's grip. She broke into tears but could do nothing. Then at the end, the five vampires stood there licking their lips in joy as they cackled. Then one of them looked at Bell and she shook. He charged at the duo but the barrier would not let him through. He says," Don't think this will keep you alive forever. I will find you and drink all of your blood."
Bell was in tears but glared at the vampire." I promise to hunt you down and avenge my friends," said Bell confidently before she moved quickly and stabbed the vampire's right eye with a dagger.
He moved back and laughed. He hoped for his regeneration to kick in but black blood oozed out." What did you do to me?" asked the injured vamp.
" I used the dagger I found in Tyson's bag," answered Bell with a smile.
" What's wrong?" The elder asked.
" The dagger is made from celestial steel. It's blocking my regenerative abilities," said the bleeding vamp.
Maverick swore that he will not let this go and the elder laughed at him calling him a retired old fool. The elder and his men picked up the bodies and got on a carriage the had hidden in the woods. They were heading for the scale mountains. TJ whimpered as he could not go with them.
(Back to the present)
Tyson looked at the surroundings and looked at his situation. He asked the driver," Where are we?"
" If you really want to know, we are in the vicinity of the scale mountains. Right now we are in the slithering woods," said the driver.
" Why are you talking with the enemy you idiot," said the elder as he stabbed through the chest of the driver and threw his corpse overboard," Who's next on the railing?"
Another vamp took them and the ride went on. Tyson closed his eyes and tried to remember everything he had read about their current position. He smiled at the remembrance of his big brother during one of their sword training sessions. He said," This reminds me of the slithering woods. I was being attacked by a bunch of komodo monsters that would not let out bet then they stopped immediately and devoured a fresh carcass nearby. They follow the scent of blood. So remember brother, if you are ever in a pinch there, they will attack anything with a strong scent of blood."
He opened his eyes and said telepathically to Monica," I have an idea but I need you to allow to drink some of your blood. Can you trust me and play along?"
She nodded her head. Since they were lying on the carriage floor, he wormed his way to her nape and bit into her. He drank a small amount before releasing her. Then, through his claw he emitted a thin red mist that seeped through the back of the carriage away from the sight of their captors. The saint looked at him crossly before the carriage was flipped over. The vamps got out to check what was going on and slowly the were being attacked by large komodo dragon like creatures that showed no mercy. With this, Tyson broke his restraints and freed Monica. Of his memory served him right, there should be a town west of where they were so that was the destination. They snuck through the back and we're about to make a run for it when a loud roar echoed across the mountains. A large shadow appeared seemingly from nowhere and covered them like a blanket. It appeared from the thick clouds flapping it's wings as it landed before them. The vamps lay there dead from the earlier attack and the monsters moving back in terror. The dragon spotted the two and roared at them." Are you the one? The son of the HERO?"
