Chapter 28 - CHAPTER 28: ZERO WIN CONDITIONS

The atmosphere across the fractured, superheated landscape of the Isle of Trials had descended into a surreal theater of absolute military absurdity. What should have been a mathematically impossible, insurmountable 6v18 death match—with Team Suleiman, Team Hira, and the newly arrived Team Warriors banding together to crush the tournament's undefeated apex predators—was instead turning into an embarrassing, one-sided exhibition of sheer dominance.

Standing opposite Team Thunder were eighteen of the most elite fighters on the entire continent. Leading the newly integrated faction was Team Warriors, a legendary squad whose members wielded terrifying, esoteric combat systems perfectly tuned to the high-level scaling of ABSOLUTE UNLIMITED INFINITY.

At their vanguard stood Leomord, clad in silver-and-blue plate armor infused with the absolute defensive willpower of Astrager Abha, mounted atop his colossal, battle-scarred Triceratops whose armored hide crackled with kinetic potential. Flanking him were his five legendary comrades, each embodying a terrifying combat archetype:

* Sheng Kugo, the Samurai whose blade arts manipulated spatial geometry to cut through abstract concepts of distance and velocity.

* Cheng Pieng, the Ninja whose shadow-phase mechanics allowed him to fold his physical form across multiple dimensional layers simultaneously.

* Heptaceliois, the Gladiator whose body possessed absolute atomic density, allowing him to absorb kinetic shockwaves and redirect them with catastrophic multipliers.

* Ostane Bustami, the Pirate whose unique Sakti manipulated gravitational fluid pressures, turning the very air into a crushing ocean current.

* Gurd, the Aztec warrior whose ancestral bloodline allowed him to harvest and channel sacrificial cosmic life-force to supercharge his physical attributes.

Yet, despite this terrifying array of talent, combined with the twelve seasoned veterans of Team Suleiman and Team Hira, the mathematical reality of the battlefield was a cruel joke.

CRASH! THUD! ZAP!

"Is that really all eighteen of you combined?" Ninten shouted over the deafening roar of the canyon, his body wreathed in the ferocious, blood-red aura of the Martis transformation. He spun his dual crescent blades with lazy, mocking arrogance, parrying a multi-elemental slash from Sheng Kugo and a gravitational surge from Ostane Bustami at the exact same time without even looking at them. "Man, I've seen training dummies in the lower sectors put up a better fight! Are you guys fighting, or are you just practicing synchronized falling?"

Sheng Kugo's face flushed red with furious embarrassment, his samurai code screaming for vengeance as his spatial-cutting blade sliced harmlessly through Ninten's afterimage. "Arrogant bastard! Don't underestimate the true masters of the Isle!"

"Underestimate you?" Ninten laughed, a loud, obnoxious, infectious cackle that echoed off the canyon walls. "Bro, I'm not underestimating you; I'm actively ignoring you and you still can't hit me! Look at Cheng Pieng over there trying to sneak up behind me like a lost puppy!"

Cheng Pieng, who had just materialized out of a shadow-phase fold directly behind Ninten, froze mid-strike as Ninten casually flicked his elbow backward, connecting directly with the ninja's ribs and sending him hurtling through three successive boulders with a comical crash.

"Oof, right in the dimensional coordinates," Ninten grinned wildly, turning back to face the rest of the alliance. "Honestly, if I knew you guys were this soft, I would've taken a longer nap. Hey, Mark! How many calories am I burning just standing here watching these clowns trip over their own auras?"

Mark, standing calm and composed amidst a whirlwind of automated targeting drones, checked his wrist HUD without missing a beat. "According to my internal calculations, Ninten, your net calorie expenditure is roughly equivalent to digesting a single grain of rice. The energy wasted by their attacks, however, is enough to power a small municipal district for a year."

"See?" Ninten beamed, pointing a glowing blade at the enraged faces of Samir, Jamuna, and Heptaceliois. "The genius has spoken! You guys are basically a municipal power plant of incompetence!"

The psychological torture was almost worse than the physical beating. Team Suleiman and Team Hira were already battered from their previous engagement, and now Team Warriors was watching their legendary mystique dissolve into a comedy routine. Heptaceliois roared in primal rage, his atomic density flaring to maximum as he lunged forward, slamming his fists into the earth to trigger a continent-shaking tectonic shockwave.

"Silence, outsider!" Heptaceliois bellowed.

Before the shockwave could reach Team Thunder, Dent stepped forward. His heavy guardian shield slammed into the fractured bedrock with a deafening CLANG, absorbing one hundred percent of the tectonic kinetic energy and instantly feeding it back into the blue defensive matrix, creating a massive shimmering dome that completely nullified the attack.

"Too slow," Dent said flatly, his voice a steady anchor in the storm.

Seeing his frontline defense crumble and his allies falling into disarray, Leomord's expression tightened into a mask of grim, desperate resolve. Riding atop his colossal, armored Triceratops, the veteran knight realized that psychological warfare and coordinated spells were failing. They needed to cut off the head of the snake.

His eyes locked onto Thunder, who stood casually a few paces away, arms crossed, watching the chaos with an amused half-smile as blue electrical arcs danced harmlessly across his knuckles.

If I take out their lightning conduit, their tactical grid will experience a cascading feedback loop, Leomord calculated instantly.

"For the honor of the fallen kingdom!" Leomord roared, driving his heels into the flanks of his massive Triceratops.

The prehistoric beast let out a thunderous, ear-splitting prehistoric bellow that rattled the teeth of everyone in the canyon. With a surge of raw kinetic force and glowing Astrager Abha armor, the colossal Triceratops charged forward at absolute hyper-velocity, carving a deep trench into the earth. Leomord raised his heavy knight's broadsword high above his head, channeling every ounce of his spiritual energy into a singular, devastating executioner's strike aimed directly at Thunder's skull.

The speed of the charge was breathtaking. To anyone else on the island, it would have been an unavoidable, fatal blow.

WHOOSH!

The massive blade descended toward Thunder with the weight of an avalanche.

Thunder didn't flinch. He didn't even uncross his arms until the very last microsecond.

As the blade was mere inches from his face, Thunder's eyes flashed with a brilliant, blinding electrical white. His hand shot forward with microscopic precision, his fingertips grazing the polished surface of Leomord's armor.

ZAP-BZZT!

Instead of a physical block, a hyper-concentrated surge of high-frequency electrical current bypassed Leomord's outer Astrager Abha defense entirely, slipping through the minute seams of his plate armor and flooding directly into his nervous system.

The current didn't just shock him—it rewrote his cellular conductivity in a fraction of a millisecond. Every single muscle fiber in Leomord's body locked up instantaneously.

THUD!

Leomord's eyes went wide with shock as absolute paralysis gripped his entire frame. The momentum of the charge carried him forward, but his body was completely rigid. He tumbled off the saddle of his Triceratops, crashing heavily onto the gravelly earth, utterly immobile, unable to even twitch a finger.

The massive Triceratops, feeling its rider's spiritual link temporarily severed by the neural override, skidded to a confused halt, snorting clouds of hot steam into the cold canyon air.

Silence descended upon the battlefield for three full seconds.

Suleiman Haque Samir stared in wide-eyed horror. Khandaker Jamuna Al-Hira stopped breathing. The elite members of Team Warriors watched in stunned disbelief as their untouchable leader was taken down with a single, casual touch.

"Leomord!" Sheng Kugo screamed.

"He... he didn't even use a weapon," Cheng Pieng whispered, his voice trembling as shadow-phase mechanics flickered weakly around his ankles.

Thunder calmly lowered his hand, the last stray electrical arc fading into the air. He looked down at the paralyzed knight with mild indifference. "Your charging vector was clean, but your cellular resistance to high-voltage frequency modulation is entirely nonexistent. Work on your grounding."

Ninten burst out laughing again, holding his stomach as he pointed at the fallen knight. "Bro got zapped out of the meta! You can't make this up!"

Team Thunder was completely, unequivocally, terrifyingly in control. The eighteen elites were broken, exhausted, and psychologically shattered. Victory was so absolute, so overwhelmingly complete, that it felt like the chapter was about to close on a decisive, historic win.

And then... the earth began to sing.

It wasn't the gentle hum of Mark's computational servers, nor was it the rhythmic stomping of Leomord's Triceratops. It was a low, structural, tectonic vibration that started from the deep northern trenches of the Isle of Trials and rippled outward in every direction until the entire island felt like it was riding on the back of an angry leviathan.

RUMBLE... RUMBLE... RUMBLING-THUD!

Every single person on the battlefield—from the battered members of Team Suleiman and the Hira princesses to the immobilized Leomord and the confident members of Team Thunder—stopped and turned their gazes toward the northern horizon.

The dust on the distant hills didn't just rise; it formed an enormous, dark, suffocating wall that blotted out the afternoon sun.

Mark's visor instantly went haywire. Warning lights flashed across his peripheral vision at a frequency so high it blurred into a solid crimson bar. His internal processors shrieked as millions of new radar signatures flooded his tactical grid simultaneously.

WARNING! CRITICAL MASS ANOMALY DETECTED! MULTIPLE TEAM TRANSPONDERS INCOMING!

QUANTITY ESTIMATE: 10,000... 30,000... 50,000... SEVENTY THOUSAND UNITS DETECTED!

From every ravine, forest line, ridge, and plateau surrounding the canyon, a tidal wave of humanity poured forth. It wasn't just a reinforcement squad; it was an unprecedented, chaotic coalition of dozens upon dozens of rival teams from across the entire tournament—scouts, assassins, brawlers, elementalists, and wild-card squads who had formed a massive, desperate alliance with one singular, unified goal: Take down Team Thunder once and for all.

The numbers were staggering. A literal army of seventy thousand fighters flooded the valley, filling every square inch of the landscape as far as the eye could see. Their combined auras—a chaotic, swirling mixture of spiritual pressure, elemental fury, and bloodthirsty intent—formed an inescapable, suffocating dome of pressure that threatened to crush the very air out of the canyon.

Suleiman Haque Samir, who had been pinned against the stone wall moments ago, suddenly let out a hysterical, breathless laugh as he looked at the endless sea of hostile faces surrounding them. "They... they're all here. Seventy thousand fighters. Every single team that survived the island's culling... they've all converged on this exact location."

Jamuna Al-Hira staggered to her feet, her cracked Astrager Abha armor glowing with a faint, desperate resurgence of hope. "Even Team Thunder cannot calculate or punch their way through seventy thousand combined auras. The spatial-temporal density alone will crush their networks."

The eighteen elite fighters of the alliance picked themselves up, their expressions shifting from utter defeat to ruthless, triumphant malice. They formed a tight inner ring, while the massive, sprawling mob of seventy thousand combatants formed an outer perimeter that stretched across the entire horizon, locking their weapons, spell circles, and kinetic cannons directly onto the six members of Team Thunder.

It was an impossible, apocalyptic scenario. A 6v70,000 death trap.

To any rational observer, this was the absolute, undeniable end of the line. The point where even legends must bow to overwhelming mathematical probability.

Dent tightened his grip on his heavy guardian shield, his muscles straining under the sheer psychic weight of seventy thousand hostile auras pressing inward. Mark's fingers danced across his wrist controller with frantic speed, trying to reroute his server capacity to handle an army that large. Thunder's eyes narrowed into sharp electric slits, and Fi and Gic stepped closer together, preparing for a cataclysmic, last-stand offensive.

In the absolute center of the formation, surrounded by a ring of seventy thousand screaming, bloodthirsty opponents closing in for the kill, Ninten slowly stopped spinning his dual crescent blades.

The chaotic, mocking grin on his face didn't fade—it widened into something intensely manic, brilliant, and utterly unhinged.

He lowered one blade, tilted his head back toward the sky, and then turned his red-tinted eyes directly toward Thunder, who was calculating the incoming trajectory of a thousand simultaneous energy spells.

The battlefield noise faded into absolute, dramatic silence as seventy thousand fighters raised their weapons to strike.

Ninten grinned ear-to-ear, leaned over casually toward Thunder, and delivered the single most iconic, brain-rotted, idiotically confident line in the history of the tournament:

"Iiiiiiiiiiiii Haaaaaaaavvvveeeee aaaassaa plaaaaaaaaannnn!"
