A spear pierced through the wind to land straight on the wyvern's throat, causing the laser beam to drift away from Ray but only a little bit struck him on the arm, leaving him injured.
Ray groaned a bit and the wyvern cried out in agony, but it forced itself to spread its wings before lifting its body from the ground.
Ray swiftly clutched his arm as he dropped to his knees.
Then he heard footsteps approaching him.
He lifted his head up swiftly to see Mira approaching him with a worried look on her face.
Then she knelt in front of him, and asked. "Ray! Are you alright?"
"Yeah. I am. You saved my life."
Mira swiftly pulled him close for a hug and she tightened her grip around him.
Just a few moments ago, when she had arrived, Mira noticed the wyvern aiming a strange type of attack straight at Ray.
She had feared the worse, so she reacted before her brain could even register what she was doing.
