"Hey, wake up" an unfamiliar voice remarked, "I know you're not dead".
"Hey, what if he really is dead, then what" another voice rang out this one slitely muffled, except they sounded to be further away than the other voice who was right next to Reid.
"He's not dead you idiot, he's part of the Ivers family, even if he's a disgrace to the household", the closer man said.
"Uhh... keep it down, I'm trying to sleep here", Reid said with visible disgust on his face. "Oh, you're finally awake" the closer man said with a sense of mirth in his tone.
"Well, I am now, thanks to you", Reid sarcasticly quipped back, not amused.
As Reid opened his eyes he saw that he was being held down to a wooden arm chair, there were five iron chains wrapped around him in various different places. One was tightly wrapped around his waist, another two around his wrists and the last two around his ankles.
He then looked up to try see his surroundings, it was very dark in here, so he couldn't make out everything but it looked like he was in old abandoned run down cabin. In quick succession he looked right and then left.
To his right there was a window with the view of big tall trees so he thought he was in the woods, but only for a few seconds before turning his head to the left, then he was a little surprised because the view in the left window was completely different from the right window.
In the left window he saw a visage of the ocean not just a view of the ocean, the ocean it's self. On the right he was in a forest but on the left he was in the ocean.
It was an illusion field a skill someone could learn after there first Limit Break, it allows you to simulate a different environment to what is actually there, only God knew where Reid actually was, well God and his kidnappers.
"Hey, stop squirming", the closer man said in a defiant tone.
Reid then focused on the other people in the room with him, his kidnappers, he saw two men in front of him, a tall, slender man with black hair and a scowl clearly playing on his features who was standing further away.
The second man who was currently lifting Reid up by his hair, had brown hair and a visible scar rolling down the right side of his face. "Henry?", Reid exclaimed a bit shocked to see his butler among the people who kidnapped him, but he ultimately didn't show his inward shock.
"Yeah, it's me", Henry said with a flat face. Henry had been Reids butler for around five years and always showed respect never the slitist sign of disloyalty, never once had the thought of being betrayed by him ever enter his mind, not once.
"Although, I'm a bit surprised you seem so... umm... how do I say it, not surprised at all, as if you knew the whole time?", Henry exclaimed with somewhat of a confused face.
Reid responded with absolute confidence in his voice, "I won't sit here and say that I knew you were out to get me from the moment we first met, but I figured it out eventually".
'That was a complete lie, I had no idea he wanted me gone' Reid internally commented on his last claim.
"Huh... guess you aren't a complete idiot" said the other man who was holding Reid up.
"Erm, have we met yet, my oh so lovely kidnapper, who is trying to rip my hair of", Reid remarked making the kidnapper respond in a sinister tone "no, we have not, please let me introduce myself", as he let Reid go and stood up.
Now that he stood up Reid got a full body view of the man he was approximately 6'2 with a fairly muscular body.
"I won't give you my name because that would be stupid, but how about the organisation I belong to", Reid then quickly stated with an obvious interest in his voice, "Oh, yes please, that's even better"
Henry slowly walked up to the other man and lightly tapped him on the shoulder and said, "thats not a wise decision".
The other kidnapper who was so full of himself at the moment because he had just successful captured a member of the Ivers family, one of the nine great families, he then laughed and quickly pushed Henrys hand away and said.
"Now, why would I do that, your not my boss... I can do anything I want", Reid looked on in anticipation of getting the name of a criminal organisation, his uncle will be very pleased with what he brings back.
The the kidnapper who was going to do Reid a huge favour suddenly stopped as the right pocket of his jacket started ringing.
The kidnapper then looked at the phone and said to Henry, "get all you can from him, I gotta take this", as the kidnapper started walking away Henry started to convers with Reid.
Reid who looked as calm as usual even though he was in a kidnapping situation sllyly asked a question "so what gives me the honor of this little meeting"
Henry then smiled as he placed both hands on the arm rest reid was currently sitting in and said, "The reason we're in this situation right now is to get some information about your family".
Reid looked a bit surprised apon that answer but only for a few seconds before he started to laugh, "hahahahahaha... haah... you really think I know stuff about the family, that's hilarious, like I mean you were a butler to the family for five years for gods sake, you should at least know the rules... haha".
The rules of the Ivers family were the most strict on Earth. The rule in question right now was in fact rule number 1, the rule that explicitly says that no one in the family apart from the elders and the head were to now the inner working of the the family.
Albeit he might have thought considering the fact that Reid was the heir to the name of Ivers and how close he was to the head, his uncle, that he might have some information that wasn't privy to others in the family.
But he ultimately did not.
Reid who was still quite hysteric, then added in a carefree tone, "you really mustn't have been very good at your job, Henry". Henry who was usually quite a calm person then lost his patience after hearing that.
He then leaned forward leaving only a couple inches apart from there faces and said in a loud and dangerous voice, "you know, I had to suffer from your attitude for five long years, it was hard but I over came that to get where we are today".
Reid a little taken aback by that statement said with an offended tone, "what attitude, I consider myself quite humble", then Henry said, "yes, I'll admit you are quite humble, not flaunting your status around like one of those spoiled kids, even taking that knight of yours of the street and giving him a place to live".
He then took a breath and added, "but that's not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about your over all lack of a sense of fear, in fact now that I think about it, I have only ever seen you express your real emotions once, it sickens me".
Reid who was genuinely having the time of his life learing more about his butler or former butler because he will most definitely get executed once there out of this situation, Reid then said.
"You take me for fearless, I'm a little surprised, I can to feel fear just like you, but as you said, yes I don't show it very often because then I would look weak to the masses and we can't have the heir of one of the nine great families look weak, now can we".
The other man opon hearing the commotion re-entered the room with a solum look and punched Reid quite hard, knocking him out.
Henry looked quite surprised but relieved that the other man had done something to shut him up.
He then asked in an increasingly calm tone, "why'd you do that, did the boss say something" the other man who was looking at the unconscious Reid then turned and said "yeah... he did".
Then two hours passed by.
The other man then glanced at Reids left hand and saw a gold ring on his index finger. He then went to pick it of his finger, before Henry quickly chimed in and said "I wouldn't do that if I was you".
The other man inquired with a scowl on his face, "why", Henry then said in a slightly frightening tone, "he will go ballistic... don't do it, he'll kill you". The other man then looked at the five iron chains holding Reid down and processed to take the ring of his finger.
Reid who was unconscious did nothing. "See... your just over reacting", he then turned his back to Reid as if he was going to walk away.
Reids body then twitched and he lunged foward and bit the man in the neck, drawing blood, Reid with blood shot eyes then ripped the ring from the mans hand and slowly put it back on, calming down and went back to sleep.
The man then looked at Henry while clearly in pain from the bite, and said "WHAT THE FUCK", in a loud voice.
Another two hours passed and Reid woke up for good this time and said "Oh... I'm still here, wonder when uncles gonna get here". The man who will most likely have another scar on his neck later exclaimed, "he's not coming, I sealed of this place from outside interference" Reid with a smug smile said "Oh no... your neck was that me" he then paused for a second and said in a resilient tone "and your wrong he will be here, any moment now".
The man with a nasty smile said "you seem awfuly confi..." then they heard the ground rumble and large footsteps walking towards them.
They're in danger now Reid thought.
