"Oh, wow." Yujin murmurs as he scans the information. "I thought he was blessed by a dungeon gate god but he's actually blessed by an earth god, literally."
"This will be interesting." Verce nods his head, in agreement. "Two positive attributes put against each other. Last year they kept it evenly distributed. With one negative Esper and one positive Esper."
Seojin raises his dark eyebrows and glances between the two brothers, "Alright, you two lost me. What's with the positive and negative?"
Yujin furrows his brows and turns to look at him, "Shouldn't you know this? Lord Byrnard must've hired tutors for you to learn more about espers." There's no way he didn't.
Seojin is a high grade guide, and having knowledge on those he's guiding will only benefit him further. Knowing the charge of an espers mana could become crucial information if something were to happen.
"I'm a guide," Seojin blinks, his dark gaze shifting from Yujin to Verce. "All I do is help espers, I didn't think I'd need to know anything more about them." He frowns with a shrug.
"Wow, the true ignorance of a young Lord." Yujin mutters with distaste. "I just didn't expect that from you. You're always so prim and proper about things."
Seojin rolls his eyes, "Are you going to explain it to me or not?"
Verce leans forward so he can see the young Lord sitting beside Yujin, "There are espers and then there are guides." He holds both his hands up indicating one and the other. "Guides don't typically differentiate from one to the other, however with espers there are a multitude between them."
"We have the basic knowledge of offensive and defensive espers, depending on their powers." He continues to explain. "We know espers are only given these powers if a god, either from a dungeon gate or gods from our own world blesses them."
"Yes, I know that." Seojin nods his head.
"Well, if you delve a little deeper," Verce continues, "Gods from our world are usually a positive outlet. For example, we have the basic elements: fire, earth, air, and water. Those typically have a positive charge."
"Fire has a positive charge? Wouldn't it be negative?" Seojin asks with furrowed brows. He reaches up to scratch the side of his head as he tries to understand.
"You'd think so, right?" Yujin asks. "It's not. Though it can burn everything down, it also allows nature to grow. The ash of the dead is fuel for things to prosper, therefore it is positive."
"Well, that's just confusing." Seojin mutters.
"Anyways, you get the jist of our gods. Well, dungeon gate gods are most of the time negative. They bring destruction and darkness - negative charges to our world. At first it created an imbalance, but when espers started rising, the scales started to even out." Verce says.
"Wow, that sounds so complicated." Seojin gestures towards the two guys on the battle platform, "So Mason and Ceros are both on the positive spectrum of Esper charges? Wouldn't that cause an imbalance here then?"
"Not necessarily," Yujin hums. "Mason is blessed by Gaia, an earth god, whereas Ceros is blessed by Leanou, a gate god."
"Wait but you said gate gods are negative charges." Seojin frowns.
"Most of them are. However, once in a while an S+ gate or higher will appear. A long time ago, one of them had a bright portal entrance. Usually portal entrances are dark and murky. But this one was different. And out came the Leanou, a rare positive charger."
"Oh," Seojin nods, but his face gives away how little he really understands.
"You'll have a class on this, so don't worry." Verce chuckles. "Maybe you should pay attention this time."
They return their attention down below where the two stand a few feet away from each other.

Yujin dismisses the system window on the second prince and squints, "Are they talking?"
Mason's back and shoulders are stiff as his upper body leans towards the platinum blonde haired prince. His hands are curled tight at his sides as his mouth moves quickly. He's speaking too low for anyone from the audience to hear him, though.
Seojin purses his lips, "Mason looks upset. I wonder why."
"If only we could hear them." Verce mutters.
The second prince Ceros, offers his hand but Mason slaps it away and turns around to walk to the marked spot of their starting point. Ceros shakes his head, his light hair swishing around his gleaming yellow eyes and does the same.
The third horn blows, signaling the beginning of their match. Not a second after it's heard, Mason activates his mana. Wind whistles at the base of his feet as sand kicks up into the air. His grey hair flutters around his head as he takes on a battle stance.
Ceros however, looks calm and collected, his hands held behind his back. His shoulders are relaxed, and if anything, it seems like he's just standing there and not in the middle of a duel.
"Is he even taking this seriously?" Yujin mumbles with distaste. Or is he just cocky?
Verce scoffs and relaxes in his seat. "He's always like that." He murmurs. "Prince or not, his attitude towards his opponents - esper or monster - is too casual to be anything but disrespectful."
As if it's the last straw he can tolerate, Mason shouts in frustration. He pushes off the ground with sudden force that leaves a small crater in the sand where he once was, and flies towards his opponent. Ceros doesn't move despite the head on collision.
"You cocky bastard!" Mason shouts loud enough for the entire arena to hear. A whirlwind forms around his bare fist.
Ceros dodges the attack by shifting to the left. Mason seems to have expected this though, and with his left hand slices it through the air. There's an audible whoosh that echoes.
