Synopsis
"Kanchanwadi: The City of Gold" is a mythic adventure following two tribal youths, Rudhra and Bhaira, who embark on a perilous journey to recover the lost SwarnaRudhira (Golden Blood) treasure of the ancient Kalimar Dynasty. Driven by a desire to provide a better life for their Maari tribe, they navigate the deadly Mrityu Dwar Mountains, deciphering ancient codes and surviving magical traps within a temple guarded by the goddess Maha Kaali. The quest takes a dark turn when they encounter a cursed Black Panther—the same beast that killed Rudhra's father years prior. As the true nature of the treasure is revealed, the story explores themes of greed versus sacrifice: The Trial of Greed: While Rudhra seeks to help his people, Bhaira is tempted by the gold to secure a future with his lover. The Sacrifice: To break an ancient curse that requires a life sacrifice to unlock the wealth, Bhaira falls to his death while taking the panther down with him. The Aftermath: An ethereal voice (Akashavani) reveals that the treasure was destined only for the pure of heart, and that those driven by personal greed—including Bhaira and Rudhra's father—were fated to fall. The story concludes with Rudhra successfully bringing the wealth to his tribe but leaving shortly after on a journey for mental peace, only to be confronted by a mysterious presence in a cave. Would you like me to analyze the character motivations of Rudhra and Bhaira further?

Chapter 1 - KANCHANWADI: THE CITY OF GOLD

HISTORY OF KANCHANWADI:

Kanchan Wadi was one of the Richest Place Kingdom in the country, Kaliwar Dynasty was ruling the place. It was the trading hub for many Gold and Jewellery traders. Everything was good until the Invaders had an eye on this place. One fine day The King Muktesh Kalimar had an info from his secret informer about the invaders attacking them to snatch all gold and treasure from Kanchan Wadi. Soon he made a plan to hide all the treasure, in between the deadly forest and mountains. So, senadhipathi and few trustworthy Raajpurohiths hid treasure with help of a secret chamber from the palace to Mrityu Dwar Mountains which is protected by Kaali Maa. Finally, some of the treasure was hidden but these invaders burnt down the village in rage of not getting what they planned for. They came in search of King Muktesh who was in his royal palace balcony and praying the Maha Kaali in the mountains to protect the treasure and make sure it reaches the right hands and not the invaders nor the selfish ones in the future. And thus , the treasure was being protected by Maha Kaali.

Some people survived this brutal war and formed a Maari tribe and started living in the Mrityu Dwar Forests. Many people in the tribe tried getting the treasure for their greed, but they never came back from that deadly door. People started naming the treasure "Swarna Rudhira"(Golden Blood). And only the Royal Blood can access it but it was otherwise.

PRESENT DAY IN MAARI TRIBE:

Few kids were unknowingly going towards the Murtyudwara Mountains, suddenly Dadaji appears and will bring back the kid to their kutiras and starts narrating the flashback to Maari Tribe kids in a village about the SwarnaRudhira Treasure which is located in the Mrityu Dwar Forests and whoever tries to get that will be dead without a clue. Among all those kids, 2 of them were really curious to know and explore the SwarnaRudhira Treasure. And then later Dadaji takes kids to hunt animals and teach survival skills which will be helpful for them and their families to survive. Later that night while Rudhra was sleeping, from past few years he will be having this nightmare in which his father is attacked by a panther in the darkness of mountains. As Soon as his father screams his name in the dream, Rudhra used to suddenly wake up, drink water and just look at the stars. This used to happen very often, but there was no clear picture or reason for his dream. All he remembered was his father was not able to hunt because it was tough for him to hunt or do any other work with his four fingers in both hands. So his father was fed up with everyone and everything, his father had some plans and the last words his father spoke before leaving home was- I will make sure you and our future generation will leave a luxurious life here after, wait for me to come back. As Rudhra's mother expired while giving birth to Rudhra. So, even his father didn't return for many months and people thought he might be dead.

In the morning,

Bhaira also has a lover in their tribe, So his lover has dreams of living a better life rather than being in a tribe after the wedding, which is also her POV of having a better life after marriage. So they desperately need money to enjoy the basic life of their wish. And even Bhaira makes sure they somehow have to get this done. And after all these, Rudhra and Bhaira leave for the hunting. In the midway Bhaira mentions all the conversations that Bhaira and his lover had about having a better life. And even Rudhra agrees with it, after sometime Ruudhra says about the Swarnarudhira treasure but Bhaira is obviously scared about it because of all the story they heard around it. But Rudhra becomes emotional about the tribe people saying, after I lost my parents our tribal peoples have been my family. I have to do something for them, I think this is the best chance to return all the love to them and you have been my brother till now. Let's both do it together, let's bring back the treasure for our people. And even Bhaira gets energised with these words. Both have made up their mind to get the treasure.

Some Days Passed:

On one fine day Rudhra and Bhaira express to Dadaji that they are daring to find the treasure that's hidden in the deadly forest and mountains for the sake of our tribals, everyone deserves a better life than this Rudhra Says. But Dadaji refuses and manipulates them several times. And some days later Rudhra and Bhaira quietly decide to Hunt the hidden treasure . And plan accordingly.

One Day:

The air in Kanchan Wadi was thick with excitement as Rudhra and Bhaira prepared for the adventure of a lifetime. An old, weathered map had come into their possession, one that purportedly led to a treasure buried somewhere in the heart of Kanchan Vadi royal city. The map, found in Dadaji's Kutira in Kanchan Wadi, was rumored to have once belonged to a legendary explorer who had been commissioned by the Kalimar dynasty centuries ago. Bhaira took this map from Dadaji's trunk somehow.

Legend has it that during the reign of Muktesh Kalimar, a vast treasure was amassed to protect Kanchan Wadi from invaders. But the treasure was never recovered, and its location was lost over time, hidden by cryptic clues and buried beneath the very Kingdom itself. The map, now in their hands, seemed to show a path to the treasure, but its details were obscured by time. This was their chance, and they weren't going to let it slip away.

Chapter 1: Entering The Deadly Doors

The first clue on the map led them to the famous Mrityudwara Mountains. The map indicated that the treasure was hidden beneath the Mahakali Temple, a place both revered and steeped in myth. Legends spoke of the temple being the protector of Kanchan Wadi wealth and treasures, and the ancient stone steps that led up to the temple were said to have been carved with hidden symbols.

Both Rudhra and Bhaira offered prayers to Devi Maha Kali praying " We are here for a good cause, we seek your blessings in this journey" Bhaira studied the map carefully, then glanced up at the massive stone steps leading to the temple. "There's something off about this staircase," Bhaira said. "It doesn't look as straightforward as it seems."

They climbed the steps, each one steeped in history, but Bhaira's sharp eye noticed strange carvings near the top. Symbols that seemed to glow faintly in the sunlight. They were a perfect match to the ones on the map. Rudhra traced the symbols with his fingers, feeling the cold stone beneath his touch.

"I think this is a code," Rudhra whispered. "We need to figure out what it means."

Using their combined knowledge, they deciphered the code, which read: "The treasure lies where the sun kisses the serpent."

Bhaira and Rudhra's eyes widened. "The serpent. There's a statue of a serpent at the foot of the temple! We need to go there."

Chapter 2: The Serpent's Secret

When they arrived at the serpent statue, a massive stone sculpture of a coiled serpent stood tall, its mouth gaping as though ready to strike. The serpent was part of an ancient myth associated with the temple, a symbol of protection. At the base of the statue, the ground was uneven, and small cracks were visible in the stone floor.

"We have to look carefully,"Rudhra said. "This is where the treasure could be hidden."

Bhaira's hand brushed over the serpent's tail, and he felt a slight indentation. He pressed harder, and to their astonishment, the tail shifted, revealing a hidden trapdoor. The underground chamber beneath it was dark, and the air felt cooler as they descended into the depths below the temple.

The passage was narrow and damp, and the walls were covered in strange paintings depicting warriors, kings, and the mythical serpent god, Vasuki. At the end of the tunnel, they found another puzzle: a giant stone slab with inscriptions.

"This one's different," Bhaira said, inspecting the symbols. They appeared to be an ancient language, one he had never encountered before.

"Let me try something," Rudhra.

The translation read: "The path to the treasure is guarded by black shiny coat of fur. Only the pure of heart may pass."

"What does that mean?"Bhaira asked, but before Rudhra could answer, a loud rumble echoed through the chamber.

---

Chapter 3: Water and Fire

Suddenly, water began pouring into the chamber from the ceiling, flooding the floor. Rudhra and Bhaira leapt back, scrambling to avoid being caught in the rising tide. The walls began to crack, and flames erupted from the floor beneath them, shooting up in fierce bursts. The ancient traps had been triggered.

"We have to move, now!" Bhaira shouted.

With water rising rapidly, Rudhra spotted a narrow path to the side, where stone platforms rose above the floodwaters. They ran across the stones, narrowly avoiding the flames that flickered dangerously close.

Bhaira, being quick on his feet, spotted another inscription on a stone pillar, just above the rising water. The translation said: "Only those who are not consumed by greed shall pass the final test."

"We have to make a choice," Rudhra said, pointing to the end of the chamber where a golden chest lay on a pedestal. But as they moved toward it, the flames grew fiercer, and the water surged higher.

"Don't touch it!" Bhaira shouted. "This is the final test. If we take the chest, the flames will consume us."

At that moment, Rudhra realized what they had to do. The treasure was not gold or jewels—it was knowledge, the wisdom of the past. They turned away from the chest and instead looked for another way out.

As if by magic, the water receded, and the flames died down. A hidden door opened in the wall, revealing a narrow passage that led back outside.

Chapter 4: The Hidden Vault

The passage led them to a hidden chamber, a vast underground vault where centuries-old treasures were stored. In the center of the chamber lay a stone pedestal, upon which rested a single item—an ancient, intricately designed coin. It was covered in dust, but as they approached it, they realized it was not just a coin—it was the key to unlocking the true treasure of Kanchan Vadi.

The map had not just led them to material wealth but had opened their eyes to a treasure much greater: the history and legacy of the Kalimar dynasty and the royal city of Kanchan Vadi. But there were mixed emotions or differences of opinion in Rudhra and Bhaira. As Bhaira sees all the treasure his greed for the gold increased just because he wanted a better life and now he can have the best life with all these treasure. Rudhra got to know something is running in Bhaira's mind. And Bhaira says anyway no one knows we are here for treasurer. Let's just split it for ourselves and let's not care for the people. But Rudhra was really shocked listening to Bhaira's. Each of them started arguing. And Grrrrrr!!!! There was a loud roar in front of the Treasure door.

As soon as they turned to the doors. There appears a Black Panther in front of them, who's safeguarding as mentioned before, A black coated fur is guarding the treasure. And then It was a do or die situation for both of them, as it is really hard to kill the panther. They really had to use their brain but first they just began to run. And suddenly the panther was behind Bhaira and Rudhra started noticing that place, It was the same place which was appearing in his dream. But yes there was proof that his dad was in that place and died because of this panther. The proof was There were handprints on the stones which only had 4 finger marks. And yes It was the same black panther that attacked his father. And yes his father was here before them to help his family get better with this treasure and got killed by the panther. After all these realisations Rudhra was very angry he diverted panther to him somehow. Panther was running towards Rudhra, but then suddenly Bhaira jumps on Rudhra and takes him in a small chamber to save him. Black Panther trying his best to grab them and kill them. But then Bhaira gets very emotional as he was very much selfish about the treasure. And Rudhra is still in the trance of his father's death. Rudhra consoles Bhaira and says this is my personal battle. I have to avenge my fathers death. Many conversations after Rudhra and Bhaira make a plan, So that both of them can survive and the panther can also be killed. Everything goes according to the plan but yes Rudhra still doubts Bhaira, What if Bhaira tried killing me and panther. So later he can have all the treasure. But still they start working on the plan. At the end of the plan Bhaira is running and jumping from the cliff and panther is running behind him. He acts as if he's falling from the cliff and the panther will also make a jump but Bhaira holds on to a tree root down the cliff and unluckily panther also holds him. Rudhra quickly comes and holds Bhairas hand to pick him up but then the panther is pulling Bhaira. Both get very emotional. But Rudhra tries his best, Rudhras tears drop from his eye passing on his hands, touching Bhaira's hands and falling into Bhaira's eyes. And the panther was screaming, pulling him down and Rudhra couldn't pull him up, Black panther was really pulling him badly Bhaira wasn't able to bear the pain. All of a sudden both hands will slip and Bhaira, panther both are gone down. Rudhra is badly hurt and also lost his friend, he's having mixed emotions on doubting his friend but yet he sacrificed his life. And he starts crying very loudly, screaming with pain. All of a sudden there's this Akashavani talking towards him saying- You were the chosen one my boy, the panther guardian here was of curse. The curse was, this treasure will be only obtained by the one who has a good heart but not only that this SwarnaRudhira treasure needs a sacrifice of a life. Your friend who was greedy sacrificed his life and here you can take this treasure. This was the curse and conditions given by the Rajpurohits of Kalimar Dynasty. And Rudhra was still not able to digest things. Rudhra asks about his father, and Akashavani says- Your father was here on his own greed, not for people. Bhaira was just like your father. So, it was destined for Bhaira to sacrifice his life once he's here near the treasure. And Rudhra thought if Bhaira is wrong, even Rudhra's father was wrong. But they both were right in their own view. Both wanted to make their family living better. But what matters at the end is the curse of the King, as this treasure was only supposed to be owned by a good hearted person not the one with greed. After all Rudhra made sure he took all the treasure to his tribe, everyone was happy. Rudhra personally went to talk to Bhaira's love, Rudhra told everything that happened and portrayed Bhaira like a hero. Bhaira's love became emotional, and also she had a guilt that. She wanted money to live a better life but Bhaira is not here with her. Even Rudhra was not able to come out of Bhaira's and his father's death incident. And Dadaji appears at the end, suggesting Rudhra to travel to a place to get mental peace for sometime . And Rudhra obeys Dadaji and travels to the place that Dadaji mentioned, leaving all the treasure he bought. Rudhra travelled many months in baring all the weather, One night Rudhra's sitting in a cave in front of a firecamp . Suddenly there's a sound and light from his back, Rudhra turns back and Rudhra is shocked, stunned. Who was it???? What was it???? Was it Bhaira?? Or a New character??? Or a creature ??
